    Using the stat function, I can get the read/write permissions for: owner user other ...but this isn't what I want. I want to know the read/write permissions of a file for my process (i.e. the application I'm writing). The owner/user/other is only helpful if I know if my process is running as the owner/user/other of the file...so maybe that's the solution but I'm not sure of the steps to get there.

    Hi, so I need the user to write a review about an article or book and send it to a DB via PHP but with some basic HTML formatting.. I mean, I have a form , when the user writes the review, the data is sent but without any kind of formatting, If the user want to write in a new line, the text is sent like plain text, I need to get also those new line breaks and simple stuff.     Hi there, I'm trying to get Netbeans PHP to let me write braces in a new line instead of the same line, I mean like this: if($something == TRUE) { // some code here } However, when I write if($something == TRUE) then hit enter, Netbeans places the cursor incorrectly in the new line, like this: if($something == TRUE) { // some code here } I've already changed the braces placement option to be "New Line", but this still doesn't work properly. Any idea how I can fix this? Appreciate your help

    In Visual Studio 2010 we have MSBuild for C++ project. Also we can add additional custom properties files "*.props" to projects, which are just MSBuild scripts. Is it possible in imported "some.props" file know its directory? for example there is "project.vcxproj" file and "common.props" file. I would like to write something: <IncludeDir>$( [and something for common.props file directory here] )\include</IncludeDir> What should I write there?
