Is there a way to publish a web project in MS Visual Studio 2010 using CLI? I use DevEnv.exe /Build to build a project and it works fine, but I could not find option to Publish a project.
1 - Curious as to how to make a popup asking to confirm if I want to load the program before it loads. Example:
^g::Run C:\GW2\gw2.exe
2 - How to set a title(instead of the script name), align text within msgbox and control the perimeters of msgbox with this format:
F1::msgbox,
(LTrim
Insert Text Here
)
3 - How to either temporarily pause and unpause a specific AHK script only allowing that hotkey to work within the script OR to disable scripted hotkeys while in a full screen application or game OR a "on/off pause/resume" command to disable multiple other commands such as ^g, ^h and the like.
I can use something like:
cvs.exe rdiff -D2010-03-23 -D2010-03-24 -s "ProjectName"
to get the changes which occurred on the 23rd.
But I want to get the changes that were checked in on the 23rd on a specified branch - and if I add in a -v branchv1-0-0-0 into that it tells me I can't have more than two dates/revisions in one query.
Any suggestions?
I just started playing with cpp for the first time (using VS6 C++), I created an empty win32 application, added a IDD_FORMVIEW dialog, and now I don't know how to set that dialog as the main "form" for the application. I mean I want the dialog to be the first and main window opened when executing the compiled exe.
I was hoping someone could explain why my application when loaded uses varying amounts of RAM. I'm speaking about a compiled version that uses the exe directly. It's a pretty basic applications and there are no conditional branches in the startup of the application. Yet every time I start it up the RAM amount varies from 6MB-16MB.
I know it's on the small end of usage anyways but I'm curious of why this happens.
I need to write a Windows XP/Vista application, main requirements:
Just one .exe file, without extra runtime, like Air, .Net; posstibly a couple of dlls.
Very small file size.
The application is for network centric usage, similar to ICQ or Gtalk clients.
I developed a custom made (.EXE) application to scan document using TWAIN and would like this software to be part of the list of scanners that appear in the Events tab within the Scanners properties window.
does anyone have an idea how this can be achieved?
I' m using Visual Studio to create windows installer package, i can't add the folders and data files needed for the application. I create the folders needed for the application in the 'application folder'(under 'File System on Target Machine'), then add files into the appropriate folders, and when i install the application and go to the installation folder there are no folders...there is only the application exe file, hm...
I have a WinForms application that I want to auto start on login - At the moment it is just a normal standalone 'exe'
Does anyone know how to put this into the startup folder and whether that is reliable (to the extent it will get started)?

i m devlopuing one consol application in c#.net and in this i need one text file which is resides in local disc but i wanna make it dynamic and add that file in the project as a resources so when i create final exe of my project and place it any where it works proparly without having that file in local disc.

I have a complex XSD schema and hundreds of XML files conforming to the schema.
How do I automate the creation of related SQL Server tables to store the XML data?
I've considered creating C# classes from the XSD schema using the xsd.exe tool and letting something like Subsonic figure out how to make a shiny database out of it, but not sure if it's the best way to approach it.
Has anyone managed to elegantly import XSD files into SQL Server?
so.. I esely can broadcast my web cam with VLC using command lines like this (I use Windows)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv -I --dshow-vdev="Logitech QuickCam Express / Go" dshow:// --sout
When I paste command into CMD and hit enter it starts streaming (all is fine - I can play it)
How can I now for example add brightness or any other filter to that stream from CMD?
I have a Win32 program which I can direct to monitor another Win32 process.
I want to find a way for the monitoring program to determine if the monitored process is running as a Win32 service.
Not all services run as SYSTEM and not all services have services.exe as a direct parent, so I don't regard these obvious techniques as being robust enough.
I want to develop a command line tool. I didn't build one before, but I used a few, (like mercurial). What steps do I need to take to know how to do that? So what is the problem:
Regular console application need to be invoked from the command line only from it's directory. Like: C:\Projects\CommanLineProject\MyProjectConsole.exe. I want to use it from the command line from any directory, like mercurial.

I'm trying to use the lame_enc.dll file from LAME in a C# project, but adding the thing seems impossible.
I keep getting an error that says that a reference could not be added and to please check if the is accessible, a valid assembly or COM component.
I have no C++ experience, though I would like to use the functionality. Right now I'm using Process from the .NET framework to call lame.exe and do stuff, but I'd like to know if there's another way.
I am using Eazfuscator.NET 3.0.41 to obfuscate a (VS 2010) WPF 4 application. After obfuscating, when I double click the exe file it's throwing an error message like this.
"Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException"
Is there a way I could enable some sort of a logging to check where it's going wrong ? How can I solve this problem? please advice

I have created a console application in VS2010 and I want to create a file in the current directory where the exe runs. I used the following code
fp = fopen("Pkts.csv", "w+");
But file is not getting created in the current directory. But when I specifies the path as
fp = fopen("C:\\Windows\\Pkts.csv", "w+");
the file gets created in the path specified. How to create the file in the current directory?
I want to create a Gameboy emulator which runs directly from the exe file, in a similar fashion to visualboy advance. I was wondering in terms of creating a GUI interface for the emulator what would be the best option to accomplish this ?
Hi all,
I am a beginner in .Net development. I need to ask about .Net winform deployment.
If i have 1 exe file, some class libraries, and 3rd party components (DevExpress).
Should i install these Dlls (class library and 3rd party component) in the GAC (Global Assembly Cache) in client computers ?
Thank you for the explanations.
PHPIniDir "D:/Dev/PHP/"
The above instruction can make my apache die on windows.
But I'm just not sure if that's true.
BTW,I found xmpp/wampserver copies the php.ini to the directory of httpd.exe,maybe for the lack of support?
I have a windows service which is trying to access an xml file from the Application directory.
Windows Service Installed directory : C:\Services\MyService\MyService.exe
Path of the xml file : C:\Services\MyService\MyService.xml
I am trying to access the file using the following code.
using (FileStream stream = new FileStream("MyService.xml", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read))
{
//Read file
}
I get the following error.
"Can not find file : C:\WINDOWS\system\MyService.xml"
My service is running with local system account and I don't want to use absolute path.
