Drupal: what's the easiest way to let my customer to upload video thumbnails and associate them to v

hi, my customer wants a gallery of videos and images (small thumbnails) and if you click on one of them you can see the picture / video in the overlaying lightbox). Now, I cannot install auto-generating video thumbnails because I don't have access to ffmpeg module on the server. I can only allow my customer to upload these thumbnails by himself. I'm using image and video CCK fields for each node to allow my customer images and videos. However I dunno how should I let him upload thumbnails for his videos. Should I create an additional Image CCK field for this ? Consequently, I should somehow associate the videos with the images in the design and my customer should pay attention to place them in the same order.. this is not very nice solution, but it is the only one that came to my mind so far. Furthermore, I'm using the lightbox I should somehow ignore the video thumbnails and display the videos instead... some tips ? Thanks

Memory leak in Mozilla when unloading stylesheets

I'm working with Mozilla v1.7.12 on a constrained device (a Motorola set-top box) trying to resolve some memory leaks. When I dynamically load a stylesheet which refers to some large images, I can see that the amount of consumed memory increases in correspondance with the size of the images. This is what I would expect. Then, when I remove the stylesheet from the DOM, I would expect the memory to be freed. However, this does not happen. This is a problem, because the web application I'm working on needs to be able to dynamically load and and unload stylesheets potentially many times in the lifetime of the page. My question therefore is this: Is what I'm seeing expected behavior or is it a known bug? Is there a way to work around this? I should point out that I've set the expires header to -1 on all the images in the stylesheet.

Detecting crosses in an image

I am working on a program to detect the tips of a probing device and analyze the color change during probing. The input/output mechanisms are more or less in place. What I need now is the actual meat of the thing: detecting the tips. In the images below, the tips are at the center of the crosses. I thought of applying BFS to the images after some threshold'ing but was then stuck and didn't know how to proceed. I then turned to OpenCV after reading that it offers feature detection in images. However, I am overwhelmed by the vast amount of concepts and techniques utilized here and again, clueless about how to proceed. Am I looking at it the right way? Can you give me some pointers? Trying to change img src if another element is visible with jQuery

I have a div ("panel" class) on my page that toggles open/closed on the click of a paragraph element ("flip" class), which has an image inside of it. Here's the HTML: <div class="panel">Contact info</div> <p class="flip"><img src="images/contactExpand.png" />Expand</p> And the jQuery: $(".flip").click(function(){ $(".panel").slideToggle("slow"); }); Everything works fine so far, but I want the image src to change to "contactCollapse.png" when the panel div is visible. This doesn't seem to do anything (image just stays the same): if ($(".panel").is(":visible") == true) { $(".flip img").attr("src","../images/contactCollapse.png") } else { $(".flip img").attr("src","../images/contactExpand.png") } Am I missing something? Getting differences between collections in LINQ

Hi, I have a collection of image paths, and a larger collection of Image objects (Which contain a path property). I have the code to check for any matching images, but if there are supposed to be four matching image paths (as that is how many are in the first collection), and there is less than this, how can I get the missing one without writing loops? what are the various approaches for generating PDFs?

I have an idea for an app that would take some flash content which contains graphics and images like various geometric shapes and polygons and some random images and convert them to PDF. Also, since I envision this app to be used my multiple users I want this process to be quick and scalable. One possible solution I could think of is have a small flash client with the capability of assembling the above mentioned graphics and images. Generate some sort of XML, send it to a server running a Java process which could render the PDF using iText. I was wondering what are the other possible ways to do it or the best practices. Technology isn't an issue; open source or commercial. I am looking for ideas to make the process fast and scalable. Most importantly, I don't want the back end server side PDF render engine to constraint the flash client capabilities. I would appreciate if you could share your tech stack idea. Thanks a lot!

Problem with domain getting turned to IP address for https

I have a website that is using Windows Server 2003. The site is called https://mysite.com/ and at ip address 111.1.1.1. Now when I log into the site all my relative links that are generated using NavURL (<%# NavURL("Images/Menu/img.gif")%) are saying "http://111.1.1.1/Images/Menu/img.gif" instead of "https://mysite.com/Images/Menu/img.gif". This is causing an error because it needs to be secure. I'm sure there is a setting on the server somewhere to point to the name and not the ip, but I don't know where. Thanks for your help.

Unlink deleting more than just the files passed to it.

Concatinate integer arrays iteratively

I have a methode in2.getImagesOneDim() which gives me an array of integers, to be more precise the pixel values of an image. Now i want to create one big array with all the pixel values of all the images. Therefore I have to call this method several times. Now I would like to concatenate the previous output to the current output until all images are read. In some kind of pseudo code, where the + is a concatination ... : for (int i = 1; i < 25; i++) { ConArray = ConArray + in2.getImagesOneDim("../images/"+i); } How would I do this in java ?

Currently I am using jquery templating with some json data, I have a couple images that I am getting and I would like to drop the last image that I am getting from my json data. How should I best store these files?

I have a set of image files, they are generally very small, between 5k and 100k. They can be any size though, upwards of 50mb but this is very rare. When these images are put into the system they are not ever modified. There is about 50 TB of these images total. They are currently chunked and stored in BLOBs in Oracle, but we want to change this since it requires special software to extract them. These images are access sometimes at a rate of over 100 requests per second among about 10 servers. I'm thinking about Hadoop or Cassandra, but I really don't know which would be best or how best to index them.

Absolute URL Generation with Subdirectory in Rails

Hey Guys - I'm trying to find an easy way(without having to write any plugins or overrides to Rails) to generate an absolute url to a rails application being in a subdirectory. This url is going to be generated for theme images, not links, so I can't url link_to or url_for. Here's an example of what I want to do: <%= theme_image("delete_icon.png", :theme => "my_theme") %> If my app is running at http://localhost, This would return: <img src="/themes/my_theme/images/delete_icon.png"> but If my app is running at http://localhost/myapp, This would return: <img src="/myapp/themes/my_theme/images/delete_icon.png"> Can anyone point me in the right direction to generate a dynamic, absolute url to a non-routed resource?

Uploading files wont work on production server

I have a php script which uploads images to a temporary folder on the server. This works on my local computer with the local (virtual) server. (wampserver). However, on the production server (linux) I cant get it working. Everything is loading as it should, except for that the file doesn't show up on the server. My Q is, is there anything I should think about when moving to a production server with uploading images or files? I have set permissions on the folder where the images are supposed to go to 777 and also the php-code which uploads them to 777. Thanks

How do I change the background image of my app?

Hello I have looked around and found some code which so called chooses an image from an array of image objects, but cant find an explanation. I would like to make my app have a background image and the user can select next and previous buttons to scroll through some full screen images, setting them as the background image as they scroll. I know how to do this in java, but cant seem to do it for this app. How or what code is linked to a next button to grab the next image in the array and reverse for the back button? Then that needs to be displayed obviously. I have used a layered architecture with a MVC style approach but cant seem to put it together with Objective-C. Would the buttons call the appropriate methods of the so called delegates, which the delegates handle fetching and returning the Images? Would the buttons use the returned images and actually handle the redrawing? I would really appreciate the help. Regards Jarryd

How to select random image of specific size using Django / Python?

I've been using this little snippet to select random images. However I would like to change it to select only images of a certain size. I'm running into trouble checking against image size. If I use get_image_dimensions() I need to use a conditional statement, which then requires that I allow exceptions. So, I guess I need some pointers on just limiting by image dimensions. resize image without losing quality with Gimp

Hi, i have a bunch of images which are way too big i need to decrease their size from 30 kb to 10 or 5 kb without loosing quality. I tried to change the dpi and pixels with no succeed. The images got blurred, and as they have text i can't read anything after the changes. Is there anyway i can accomplish this without loosing quality? I have almost a dozen images in my application.
