    Hi all I am working in one project in wordpress environment and I have the opportunity to work with youtube video, fancybox etc. I have embedded the youtube image from youtube server which is "http://img.youtube.com/vi/0.jpg", now there is no play button shows up on middle of the image as we see usually any youtube videos! I want to create an PHP-Interface for Netem and I don't know how much filters were required. This should be some kind of dynamically. In Example : A user with a static IP starts an Netem Command (Latency) with PHP Interface this means these five command werde executed by php in the first step $classid = 11; $handle = 10; "sudo tc qdisc add dev eth0 handle 1: root htb"; "sudo tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 100Mbps"; "sudo tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:1 classid 1:$classid htb rate 100Mbps"; "sudo tc qdisc add dev eth0 parent 1:$classid handle $handle: netem delay 100ms"; "sudo tc filter add dev eth0 protocol ip parent 1:0 prio 3 u32 match ip dst $dest flowid 1:$classid"; Now, if there would be a second user who wants to use Netem independent of the first user, i only want to execute the last 3 commands, like "sudo tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:1 classid 1:$classid htb rate 100Mbps"; "sudo tc qdisc add dev eth0 parent 1:$classid handle $handle: netem delay 100ms"; "sudo tc filter add dev eth0 protocol ip parent 1:0 prio 3 u32 match ip dst $dest flowid 1:$classid"; There is an Algorithmus for increasing variables $classid and $handle. This should work. Now my Question: Is it possible only to add these 3 commands to add a new class with new qdisc and a new filter rule ? Or how can i realize it ? Does anybody have any experience with this?   • How to efficiently manage files on a filesystem in Java?

    I am creating a few JAX-WS endpoints, for which I want to save the received and sent messages for later inspection. To do this, I am planning to save the messages (XML files) into filesystem, in some sensible hierarchy. There will be hundreds, even thousands of files per day. I also need to store metadata for each file. I am considering to put the metadata (just a couple of fields) into database table, but the XML file content itself into files in a filesystem in order not to bloat the database with content data (that is seldomly read). Is there some simple library that helps me in saving, loading, deleting etc. the files? It's not that tricky to implement it myself, but I wonder if there are existing solutions? Just a simple library that already provides easy access to filesystem (preferrably over different operating systems). Or do I even need that, should I just go with raw/custom Java?

    The original question One of the strength of Unity are the various standardized indicators. I want to customize the sound indicator with an additional menu entry that runs a small shell script. I'm not afraid of a little Python code and I hope someone can point me to the right subroutine in the right file. I suspect that will be fairly easy but all the indicators are just so bloated that I can't look through their code in a reasonable time. Any help is appreciated. I know it is possible as the marvelous Skype-Wrapper does it. Edit 2 - Now a dirty DBus hack The one click problem from one edit before has now turned into a DBus problem. Basically we have to tell the sound indicator that our bogus player has terminated now.     I would like to start giving unique names to "cache-able" files - i.e. *.css and *.js - in order to prevent caching, without requiring changes to the web-server settings (as is currently done in IIS). For instance, let's I have a JavaScript file called global.js. Going forward I would like it to have the name global.123.js when revision 123 is checked in. This would also require the following: The previous version of the file - perhaps it was global.115.js - is removed when the file is deployed. My customer want me to write code right on his server because he have some handmade binaries working only on his machine (solaris). I really don't know what to do. Let's say http://name.blogspot.com/ and the other one is http://name2.blogspot.com/ For blog 1: While submitting sitemap to Google webmaster tool I selected the option and then added rss.xml at last. (http://name.blogspot.com/rss.xml) Sitemap added successfully. For blog 2: I followed the same procedure but it didn't work. Then I tried to open the url (http://name.blogspot.com/rss.xml). The url was showing the atom feeds. I tried same with the other blog but that url is redirecting to the feedburner feeds. I think this is the reason why the other blog's sitemap is not getting submitted. Help me with it.

  • How to manage data access / preloading efficiently using web services in C# ?

    Hello all, Ok, this is very "generic" question. We currently have a SQL Server database for which we need to develop an application in ASP.NET with will contain all the business logic in C# Web Services. The thing is that, architecturally speaking, I'm not sure how to design the web service and the data management. There are many things to consider : We need have very rapid access to data. Right now, we have over a million "sales" and "purchases" record from which we need to often calculate and load the current stock for a given day according to a serie of parameter. I'm not sure how we should preload the data and keep the data in the Web Service. Doing a stock calculation within a SQL query will be very lengthy. They currently have a stock calculation application that preloads all sales and purchases for the day and afterwards calculate the stock on the code-side. We want to develop powerful reporting tools. We want to implement a "pivot table" but not sure how to implement it and have good performances. For the reasons above, I'm not sure how to design the data model. Anybody can give me any guidelines on how to start, or from their personnal experiences (what have you done in the past ?) I'm not sure if it's possible to make a bounty even though the question is new (I'd put 300 rep on it, since I really need something). If you know how, let me know. Thanks

  • Is it time to add IPv6 access to my websites?

    I have several dedicated servers and VPS servers, and some of those are at companies that have provided me with native IPv6 blocks (in addition to the IPv4 IP addresses). Does it currently make sense to point an AAAA record to an IPv6 address on my server, in addition to the A record pointing to the IPv4 address? This would be for (for example) the www subdomain. (the networking and web server software would be set up on the server to respond appropriately). A while ago I read that a small percentage of users (1 in a thousand?) would have slow or no access if a subdomain had both A and AAAA records because their networking software asked for one and got the other. Is that still the case, will adding an AAAA record inconvenience some users, or is the percentage already smaller and falling? In other words, is now the time to get around to adding native IPv6 support for a busy website aimed at the general public, or is it still too early?

    I want to add a meta tag like this one: <meta name="key" content="value" /> to some of the pages in Wordpress. I know, I can add this into my template and it will show up. But the thing is, I am not allowed to even touch the template. It's totally template independent. So, I have to add the meta tag only by doing something in my plugin code. I have tried wp_head action hook, but it is not working. Any idea of a workaround or anything to get the meta tag inside the head tags of the pages dynamically.

  • Effective Method to Manage and Search Through 100,000+ Objects Instantly? (C#)

    I'm writing a media player for enthusiasts with large collections (over 100,000 tracks) and one of my main goals is speed in search. I would like to allow the user to perform a Google-esque search of their entire music collection based on these factors: Song Path and File Name Items in ID3 Tag (Title, Artist, Album, etc.) Lyrics What is the best way for me to store this data and search through it? Currently I am storing each track in an object and iterating over an array of these objects checking each of their variables for string matches based on given search text. I've run into problems though where my search is not effective because it is always a phrase search and I'm not sure how to make it more fuzzy. Would an internal DB like SQLlite be faster than this? Any ideas on how I should structure this system? I also need playlist persistence, so that when they close the app and open the app their same playlist loads immediately. How should I store the playlist information so it can load quickly when the application starts? Currently I am JSON encoding the entire playlist, storing it in a text file, and reading it into the ListView at runtime, but it is getting sluggish over 20,000 tracks. Thanks!

  • Is there a safe / standard way to manage unstructured memory in C++?

    I'm building a toy VM that requires a block of memory for storing and accessing data elements of different types and of different sizes. I've done this by writing a wrapper class around a uint8_t[] data block of the needed size. That class has some template methods to write / read typed data elements to / from arbitrary locations in the memory block, both of which check to make certain the bounds aren't violated. These methods use memmove in what I hope is a more or less safe manner. That said, while I am willing to press on in this direction, I've got to believe that other with more expertise have been here before and might be willing to share their wisdom. In particular: 1) Is there a class in one of the C++ standards (past, present, future) that has been defined to perform a function similar to what I have outlined above? 2) If not, is there a (preferably free as in beer) library out there that does? 3) Short of that, besides bounds checking and the inevitable issue of writing one type to a memory location and reading a different from that location, are there other issues I should be aware of?   • Is it necessary to add an HP printer to CUPS using the hplip URI?

    I recently setup a CUPS print server (Ubuntu server 12.04) and I having trouble with performance of a HP Color LaserJet Printer CP3505n. The printer pauses for about a second between printing each page, which is annoying when there is a lot of printing to be done. This doesn't happen when the printer is installed directly to a Windows client. In an attempt to fix this I have setup the printer a couple different ways. I decided not to do a Samba share since this wiki said IPP is preferred. First Method Added to HP LaserJet to CUPS as a Discovered Network Printer, and selected HP Color LaserJet cp3505 hpijs pcl3, 3.12.2 (en) driver. I did not use a hplip URI. Second Method (hplip URI) I thought adding hplip to the mix might improve the performance, so I added the printer like this: Ran hp-setup -m 192.168.2.60, prompted to select driver Selected HP Color LaserJet cp3505 hpijs pcl3, 3.12.2 (en) Used hplip to generate a URI: hp-makeuri 192.168.2.60 Then added the printer to CUPS as a Local Printer: HP Printer (HPLIP), and entered: hp:/net/HP_Color_LaserJet_CP3505?ip=192.168.2.60. Either method I use I am able to share the printer on the network by adding a printer as http://192.168.2.2:631/printers/HP_LASER-TERRAC. Does it make a difference which way the printer is added cups? If so, and I install the printer with the hp URI, can I still change the driver using the CUPS web interface? I have been trying out different drivers to try and improve performance, and the cups interface is the easiest way to change them. Thanks in advance.

    I have been trying to use English-UK thesaurus in LibreOffice but so far cannot get it to work. I have installed mythes-en-us as only it was available in repos. As suggested in some forums I searched for openoffice.org thesaurus, but again US version was available. As a result I can't enable thesaurus when I choose English UK: As instructed elsewhere I tried this: cd /usr/share/myspell/dicts sudo ln -s th_en_US_v2.dat th_en_GB_v2.dat sudo ln -s th_en_US_v2.idx th_en_GB_v2.idx Still the result is same as shown in above screenshots. What can be done now?

  • How do people manage changes to common library files stored across mutiple (Mercurial) repositories?

    This is perhaps not a question unique to Mercurial, but that's the SCM that I've been using most lately. I work on multiple projects and tend to copy source code for libraries or utilities from a previous project to get a leg up on starting a new project. The problem comes in when I want to merge all the changes I made in my latest project, back into a "master" copy of those shared library files. Since the files stored in disjoint repositories will have distinct version histories, Mercurial won't be able to perform an intelligent merge if I just copy the files back to the master repo (or even between two independent projects). I'm looking for an easy way to preserve the change history so I can merge library files back to the master with a minimum of external record keeping (which is one of the reasons I'm using SVN less as merges require remembering when copies were made across branches). Perhaps I need to do a bit more up-front organization of my repository to prepare for a future merge back to a common master.
