    What would happen if an exception is thrown during the execution of finalize()? Is the stack unwind like normally? Does it continue finalize() and ignore the exception? Does it stop finalize() and continue GC the object? Or something else? I'm not looking for guidelines of using finalize() there are plently of pages explaining that.

    When a user clicks on the little red "x" a.k.a. the form close button on the form command bar, what even is activated besides FormClosed() I know FormClosing() is called, but I cannot really stop the form from closing after my code is run. I want to be able to show a messagebox that asks if the user wants to exit the form or not. Obviously if they click no, I want the form to stay open, how would I do this?

  • How do i convert from milliseconds to seconds units to be shown in a Label?

    I have this code: private void Form1_MouseWheel(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { if (leave == true) { if (e.Delta > 0) { if (timer1.Interval < 5000) { timer1.Interval += 1000; label2.Text = (timer1.Interval/1000).ToString(); } } else { if (timer1.Interval == 1000) { timer1.Interval -= 100; label2.Text = (timer1.Interval / 1000).ToString(); } } } } The original timer1 interval in the designer is set to 1000 milliseconds. In the mouse wheel event i did that it will show in the label2 the untis in seconds. And indeed when i move the mouse wheel up its slowing the timer and show it in seconds 1 2 3 4 5 The problem is with the second part i wanted that when its getting to 1 second or 1000 milliseconds if i will keep wheel it down it will show the units in 100 and change the timer1.interval in 100 units. So in label2 if it was on 1 second so now i will see 900 800 700 600 500 un till 100. And also the timer1 interval should be change to 900 milliseconds 800 700 600 untill 100. When its get to 100 just stop there dont keep getting under 100. The problem is with this part: if (timer1.Interval == 1000) { timer1.Interval -= 100; label2.Text = (timer1.Interval / 1000).ToString(); } Its not working at all.     I just deployed my app to my iPhone for the first time. Every time it launches it vibrates before running, and it runs fine. The build is a Debug | iPhone one of my app. Any ideas why it vibrates when it launches and how to stop that? It's definitely not something I coded up and I don't have any exceptions or issues when running in the simulator.

  • How can I terminate a multicast stream (asr - Mac) in a script?

    Hello, I'm making a script to to run a bunch of multicast asr streams, but I do not know how to "stop" or "end" a multicast asr stream after a certain amount of time. Loop Suspend does not do what I'm looking for. I've also tried to add a sleep command followed by a kill command, but they kick in after the stream ends (so that approach does not work). Thanks for any possible help! By the way, I'm writing this script in bash.

    Is there a way to manually check current position of device AND ask device to automatically rotate it without waiting for user to actually rotate the device? Currently I control the rotation with several IFs in -shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation but in few situations I have to stop the view from rotating and enable it again and I don't want user to rotate the device twice to have the desired orientation.

    I'm creating a web front end to control a small robot. Ajax calls will be made on a keydown, to start the robot, and keyup to stop it. My problem is that when a key is held down the keyup, keydown, and keypress events seem to cycle continually. Does anybody know of a way to only have keydown fire when the key is first pressed and keyup to fire when it has been released?

  • Trying to match what is before /../ but after / with regular expressions

    I am trying to match what is before /../ but after / with regular expressions, but i want it to look back and stop at the first / I feel like I am close but it just looks at the first slash and then takes everything after it like... input is this: this/is/a/./path/that/../includes/face/./stuff/../hat and my regular expression is #\/(.*)\.\.\/# matching /is/a/./path/that/../includes/face/./stuff/../ instead of just that/../ and stuff/../ how can i adapt what i'm doing to work?
