  • C# graphics flickering

    - by David
    Hello, I am working on kind of drawing program but I have a problem with flickering while moving a mouse cursor while drawing a rubberband line. I hope you can help me to remove that flickering of line, here is the code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.ComponentModel; using System.Data; using System.Drawing; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Windows.Forms; namespace GraphicsTest { public partial class Form1 : Form { int xFirst, yFirst; Bitmap bm = new Bitmap(1000, 1000); Graphics bmG; Graphics xG; Pen pen = new Pen(Color.Black, 1); bool draw = false; public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); } private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { bmG = Graphics.FromImage(bm); xG = this.CreateGraphics(); bmG.Clear(Color.White); } private void Form1_MouseDown(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { xFirst = e.X; yFirst = e.Y; draw = true; } private void Form1_MouseUp(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { bmG.DrawLine(pen, xFirst, yFirst, e.X, e.Y); draw = false; xG.DrawImage(bm, 0, 0); } private void Form1_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { if (draw) { xG.DrawImage(bm, 0, 0); xG.DrawLine(pen, xFirst, yFirst, e.X, e.Y); } } private void Form1_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { xG.DrawImage(bm, 0, 0); } } }

  • QPainter declared inside a run function creates artifact.

    - by yan bellavance
    I am rendering a QPixmap inside of a QThread. the code to paint is inside a function. If I declare the painter inside the drawChart function everything seems ok but if I declare the painter inside the run function the image is wrong in the sense that at the edge of a black and white area, the pixels at the interface are overlapped to give a grey. Does anyone know why this is so? Could it be because of the nature of the run function itself? //This is ok void RenderThread::run() { QImage image(resultSize, QImage::Format_RGB32); drawChart(&image); emit renderedImage(image, scaleFactor); } drawChart(&image){ QPainter painter(image); painter.doStuff()(; ... } //This gives a image that seems to have artifacts void RenderThread::run() { QImage image(resultSize, QImage::Format_RGB32); QPainter painter(image); drawChart(painter); emit renderedImage(image, scaleFactor); } drawChart(&painter){ painter.doStuff()(; ... }

  • Using MSBuild 4 command line to publish ASP.NET web application

    - by meandmycode
    In previous msbuild we used the target '_CopyWebApplication' in order to build and convert the source of a project into a published site, this worked OK, but wasn't ideal. In .NET 4, the publishing process is somewhat more sophisticated and additionally seems a bit of a black box to understand. Whilst packages look great, I cannot fully understand how they can be harnessed by a build server, the build server would not get any manifest information, and equally, something (msbuild?) is CREATING this manifest information FROM the project file. In our build server, I ideally want to say, here is my csproj file, deploy it by the package configuration 'x'. I'm trying to understand the workflow I need to make this happen. Right now when I use _CopyWebApplication, the result is different to doing a publish from visual studio 2010, primarily that web.config transforms aren't processed, and obviously msdeploy isn't involved at all. Can somebody point me in the right direction, I believe I need to get msbuild to do the equiv of 'Build Deployment Package', and then use msdeploy to deploy this from our build server to our CI testing environments. I know this is a very vague post, but I hope somebody can give me some hints, I'll be continuing research also, so if I make any progress, I'll post my findings here. Thanks in advance, Stephen.

  • Debug NAudio MP3 reading difference?

    - by Conrad Albrecht
    My code using NAudio to read one particular MP3 gets different results than several other commercial apps. Specifically: My NAudio-based code finds ~1.4 sec of silence at the beginning of this MP3 before "audible audio" (a drum pickup) starts, whereas other apps (Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, WavePad) show ~2.5 sec of silence before that same drum pickup. The particular MP3 is "Like A Rolling Stone" downloaded from Amazon.com. Tested several other MP3s and none show any similar difference between my code and other apps. Most MP3s don't start with such a long silence so I suspect that's the source of the difference. Debugging problems: I can't actually find a way to even prove that the other apps are right and NAudio/me is wrong, i.e. to compare block-by-block my code's results to a "known good reference implementation"; therefore I can't even precisely define the "error" I need to debug. Since my code reads thousands of samples during those 1.4 sec with no obvious errors, I can't think how to narrow down where/when in the input stream to look for a bug. The heart of the NAudio code is a P/Invoke call to acmStreamConvert(), which is a Windows "black box" call which I can't think how to error-check. Can anyone think of any tricks/techniques to debug this?

This is the fragment main xml: <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:paddingBottom="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin" android:paddingLeft="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin" android:paddingRight="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin" android:paddingTop="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin" tools:context="com.example.example1.MainActivity$PlaceholderFragment" > <ImageButton android:id="@+id/hardButton" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:background="@drawable/hard_button_clickable" android:onClick="hardButton" android:text="@string/button_hard" android:textColor="#ffff00" android:textSize="50sp" /> </RelativeLayout> This is the hard button xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <item android:drawable="@drawable/hard_button_img" android:state_focused="true" android:state_pressed="false"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/hard_button_img" android:state_focused="true" android:state_pressed="true"/> <item android:drawable="@drawable/hard_button_img"/> </selector> Here's the problem in the app: http://i.gyazo.com/a7f3b25341ebf4146d294df1f5660e99.png I've tried setting background to null and setting src to my image file.   • WPF Grid Column MaxWidth not enforced

    - by Trevor Hartman
    This problem stems from not being able to get my TextBlock to wrap. Basically as a last-ditch attempt I am setting MaxWidth on my container grid's columns. I was surprised to find that my child label and textbox still do whatever they want (bad children, BAD) and are not limited by my grid column's MaxWidth="200". What I'm really trying to do is let my TextBlock fill available width and wrap if necessary. So far after trying many variations of HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" on every known parent in the universe, nothing works, except setting an explicit MaxWidth="400" or whatever number on the TextBlock. This is not good because I need the TextBlock to fill available width, not be limited by some fixed number. Thanks! <ItemsControl> <ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <StackPanel /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemsPanel> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition MaxWidth="200" SharedSizeGroup="A" /> <ColumnDefinition MaxWidth="200" SharedSizeGroup="B" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Label VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="0 5 0 0" Grid.Column="0" Style="{StaticResource LabelStyle}" Width="Auto" Content="{Binding Value.Summary}" /> <TextBlock Grid.Column="1" Margin="5,8,5,8" FontWeight="Normal" Background="AliceBlue" Foreground="Black" Text="{Binding Value.Description}" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" TextWrapping="Wrap" Height="Auto" /> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl>

  • Fixed div background

    - by Fahad
    I want to create a layout where I want to display an image to the left and content on the right. The image should stay constant when the content scrolls. The css I'm using: <style type="text/css"> html, body { margin:0; padding:0; } #page-container { margin:auto; width:900px; background-color:Black; background-image:url('images/desired_layout.png'); background-attachment: fixed; background-repeat:no-repeat; } #main-image { float:left; width:250px; height:687px; background-image:url('images/desired_layout.png'); background-attachment:fixed; background-repeat:no-repeat; } #content { margin-left:250px; background-color:Olive; height:800px; width:650px; } </style> The HTML: <div id="page-container"> <div id="main-image"></div> <div id="content"></div> </div> Alot of time on this site and I have understood that background-attachment:fixed positions the image in the entire viewport and not the element it is applied to. My question is how do I go about creating that kind of layout? I do not want to give that image as a background image, as if the window is resized, it might get hidden. I want scrollbars to appear if the window size is less than 900px( my page width) so that the image can be viewed at all times. That happens with this code, however I would like the image to start at my element instead. How do I go about doing this?? Thanks in Advance :)

  • Why function Ellipse(...) are needed twice here to draw an ellipse?

If I remove the second one, the ellipse will never be drawn but disappears when left mouse button is up. the dialog: when moving mouse: mouse moving when mouse button pops: mouse button pops Besides, what color of CBrush is if I use "CBrush brush; pDC-Ellipse(start.x,assist.y,end.x,end.y);"

  • Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

    - by aherrick
    I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts? How would you guys accomplish this? <html> <head> <title>test</title> <style type="text/css"> * { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } </style> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $('#modal').click(function() { // overlay $('<div id="overlay" />').css({ position: 'absolute', top: 0, left: 0, width: '100%', height: '100%', backgroundColor: 'black', opacity: 0 }).appendTo('body'); $('<div id="datamodal" />').css({ backgroundColor: '#FFFFFF', border: '10px solid #999', height: '200px', width: '600px', position: 'absolute', top: '50%', left: '50%', marginTop: '-120px', marginLeft: '-320px', color: '#111111', fontWeight: 'bold', padding: '10px', display: 'none' }).append('<input type="text" />').appendTo('#overlay'); $('#overlay').fadeTo(300, 0.7); $('#datamodal').fadeIn(300); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <input id="modal" type="button" value="show modal" /> </body> </html>

  • Right way to center a <div> in xhtml?

    - by Meredith
    Im working with a XHTML 1.0 Transitional doctype html file, and I want to have a main div with 800px width and make it appears centered (not the div content, but the div itself). I've used this on the past: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title></title> <style> <!-- html, body { margin:0; padding:0; } #main-container { background:black; width:800px; } --> </style> </head> <body> <center> <div id="main-container"> Content </div> </center> </body> </html> But I am not sure if this is cross-browser compatible, or if its valid xhtml.

  • How to use javascript class from within document ready

    - by Richard
    Hi, I have this countdown script wrapped as an object located in a separate file Then when I want to setup a counter, the timeout function in the countdown class can not find the object again that I have setup within the document ready. I sort of get that everything that is setup in the document ready is convined to that scope, however it is possible to call functions within other document ready´s. Does anyone has a solution on how I could setup multiple counters slash objects. Or do those basic javascript classes have to become plugins This is some sample code on how the class begins function countdown(obj) { this.obj = obj; this.Div = "clock"; this.BackColor = "white"; this.ForeColor = "black"; this.TargetDate = "12/31/2020 5:00 AM"; this.DisplayFormat = "%%D%% Days, %%H%% Hours, %%M%% Minutes, %%S%% Seconds."; this.CountActive = true; this.DisplayStr; this.Calcage = cd_Calcage; this.CountBack = cd_CountBack; this.Setup = cd_Setup; } thanks, Richard

  • Modifying and Manipulating a interactive bezier curve

    This is a homework question and I'm having a lot of trouble with it - I've managed to do some of it but still cant finish it - can i Please get some help. Q1. Bezier Curves The following example allows you to interactively control a bezier curve by dragging the control points Cubic.java Replace the call to draw the cubic shape (big.draw(cubic)), by your own function to draw a bezier by the recursive split method. • Choosing circle radius to fully fill a rectangle

    - by Andy
    Hi, the pixman image library can draw radial color gradients between two circles. I'd like the radial gradient to fill a rectangular area defined by "width" and "height" completely. Now my question, how should I choose the radius of the outer circle? My current parameters are the following: A) inner circle (start of gradient) center pointer of inner circle: (width*0.5|height*0.5) radius of inner circle: 1 color: black B) outer circle (end of gradient) center pointer of outer circle: (width*0.5|height*0.5) radius of outer circle: ??? color: white How should I choose the radius of the outer circle to make sure that the outer circle will entirely fill my bounding rectangle defined by width*height. There shall be no empty areas in the corners, the area shall be completely covered by the circle. In other words, the bounding rectangle width,height must fit entirely into the outer circle. Choosing outer_radius = max(width, height) * 0.5 as the radius for the outer circle is obviously not enough. It must be bigger, but how much bigger? Thanks!

  • How can I optimize this or is there a better way to do it?(HTML Syntax Highlighter)

    - by Tanner
    Hello every one, I have made a HTML syntax highlighter in C# and it works great, but there's one problem. First off It runs pretty fast because it syntax highlights line by line, but when I paste more than one line of code or open a file I have to highlight the whole file which can take up to a minute for a file with only 150 lines of code. I tried just highlighting visible lines in the richtextbox but then when I try to scroll I can't it to highlight the new visible text. Here is my code:(note: I need to use regex so I can get the stuff in between < & characters) Highlight Whole File: public void AllMarkup() { int selectionstart = richTextBox1.SelectionStart; Regex rex = new Regex("<html>|</html>|<head.*?>|</head>|<body.*?>|</body>|<div.*?>|</div>|<span.*?>|</span>|<title.*?>|</title>|<style.*?>|</style>|<script.*?>|</script>|<link.*?/>|<meta.*?/>|<base.*?/>|<center.*?>|</center>|<a.*?>|</a>"); foreach (Match m in rex.Matches(richTextBox1.Text)) { richTextBox1.Select(m.Index, m.Value.Length); richTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.Blue; richTextBox1.Select(selectionstart, -1); richTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.Black; } richTextBox1.SelectionStart = selectionstart; } private void pasteToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { try { LockWindowUpdate(richTextBox1.Handle);//Stops text from flashing flashing richTextBox1.Paste(); AllMarkup(); }finally { LockWindowUpdate(IntPtr.Zero); } } I want to know if there's a better way to highlight this and make it faster or if someone can help me make it highlight only the visible text. Please help. :) Thanks, Tanner.

  • Help me avoid a resonance cascade.

    - by SLC
    Hi, my name is Dr. Kleiner, and I'm a senior scientist working at the Black Mesa Research Facility. I've just finished compiling my code to analyse a large unknown sample we've come across. Unfortunately, there were 19 build errors and 42 warnings, but I've been told the experiment must go ahead. Time is critical, we've already got one of our newest employees who is suiting up as I type this to complete the experiment. I really need some help. Can you think of anything last minute to stop a potential resonance cascade? Someone has hidden my glasses again... Anyway, I hope I never see a resonance cascade, and definitely don't want to create one. It's my lunch break in 5 minutes, and my casserole is already in the microwave ready. Please, give me some advice. If it helps I wrote all of the code to analyse the sample and activate the sampler machine in BASIC. Edit: Oh god! They're everywhere! Send assista

  • How to add video into a webpage for mobile web browsers.

    - by payling
    Our company is making a mobile version of our website. We have several product videos we want to show on the mobile version. When I try to use <a href="video.wmv">video</a> I get sound playing but a black screen on my htc incredible android os phone. I'm thinking that the video is playing but in a different browser window. I need it to display all in one window without having to switch to a different window. I tried the html embed tags and get no video or sound at all, from what I've read these tags are not very realiable cross browser. I also just tried the html5 video tags below. I get an icon identifying that it's a video file but it doesn't play. <video src="video.wmv" controls="controls"> your browser does not support the video tag </video> Is there a special format the video file needs to be in? Should I be using the href or embed tags, what other options do I have? If it helps to know, I'm using the mobile doctype on my webpages. Thanks

  • CSS opacity and child elements

    - by Rob
    <style type="text/css"> div#foo { background: #0000ff; width: 200px; height: 200px; opacity: 0.30; filter: alpha(opacity = 30); } div#foo>div { color: black; opacity:1; filter: alpha(opacity = 100); } </style> <div id="foo"> <div>Lorem</div> <div>ipsum</div> <div>dolor</div> </div> In the above example, the opacity of div#foo is inherited by child elements, causing the text to become nearly unreadable. I suppose it's wrong to say it is inherited, the opacity is applied to the parent div and the children are part of that, so attempting to override it for the child elements doesn't work because technically they are opaque. I typically just use an alpha png background image in such cases, but today i'm wondering if there's a better way to make a background of a div semi-transparent without affecting the contents.

  • jQueryUI: Sortable <thead> messes up ie ANY IE when css display property is set to RELATIVE

    - by Zlatev
    As the title describes most of the problem. Here is the example code that works as expected in Firefox. Could someone provide a workaround or fix? In action JavaScript $(function() { $('table thead').sortable({ items: 'th', containment: 'document', helper: 'clone', cursor: 'move', placeholder: 'placeHold', start: function(e, ui) { $overlay=$('<div>').css({ position: 'fixed', left: 0, top: 0, backgroundColor: 'black', opacity: 0.4, width: '100%', height: '100%', zIndex: 500 }).attr('id','sortOverlay').prependTo(document.body); $(this).parent().css({ position: 'relative', zIndex: 1000}); }, stop: function(e, ui){ $('#sortOverlay').remove(); $(this).parent().css({ position: 'static' }); } }); }); CSS <style type="text/css"> table { background-color: #f3f3f3; } table thead { background-color: #c1c1c1; } .placeHold { background-color: white; } </style> HTML <table> <thead><th>th1</th><th>th2</th><th>th3</th><th>th4</th></thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>content</td><td>content</td><td>content</td><td>content</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

  • Best terminal environment for Cygwin/Windows?

    - by Anders Sandvig
    Today I run Cygwin with rxvt using the following startup line: rxvt -bg black -sl 8192 -fg white -sr -g 150x56 -fn "Fixedsys" -e /usr/bin/bash --login -i This gives me a resizeable native Windows window which is much better than the standard "DOS box" the default cygwin.bat provides. However, the current configuration does have a couple of issues: I am not able to enter non-ASCII characters into the terminal window (i.e. æ, ø, å and Æ, Ø, Å, which I use semi-frequently. In fact, the terminal will not even accept them when I paste them into the window. If I paste a string like "bølle" (Norwegian for "bulley"), all I get is "blle". I am not able to render UTF-8 character, they only show as ?, even if they are supported by the font (i.e. when rendering the same characters in ISO-8859-1 they show just fine.). I am running English Windows Vista with locale and keyboard layout set to Norwegian (ISO-8859-1 character set?), but I've had the exact same issue on Windows 2000 and XP. Anyone knows how to fix this (i.e. a better way to configure rxvt)? Apart from the issues mentioned above, I'm very happy with rxvt, so if I find a way to resolve them I'd like to continue using it. However, if the issues are not (easily) solvable, are the any other good terminal solutions for Cygwin? Update The solution provided by Andy and Mattias (editing the .inputrc file) did solve the input problem, but output rendering is still an issue. Output is fine when I render in ISO-8859-1, but when using UTF-8 I only get ? for non-ASCII characters. This behavior is consistent between rxvt, urxvt (under Cygwin XFree X Server), mintty and PuttyCyg. Is there a similar configuration file where output encoding can be set (i.e. the equivalent of setting output locale on a Linux system)?

  • HTML5 move Canvas object

    - by Mircea
    Hi, I have 2 canvas created on the same canvas. Is it possible to drag the small black one around? I want to make it draggable but I can not find any online tutorial or demo on this. Is it possible? I had looked to Canvas moveTo or transitions but I was unable to make it work. The code is here http://jsfiddle.net/35P9F/2/ var ctx = document.getElementById('canvas').getContext('2d'); var radgrad3 = ctx.createLinearGradient(255,10,0,180,80,190); radgrad3.addColorStop(0, '#00C9FF'); radgrad3.addColorStop(1, 'red'); ctx.fillStyle = radgrad3; ctx.fillRect(0,0,255,255); var ctx4 = document.getElementById('canvas').getContext('2d'); var radgrad4 = ctx4.createLinearGradient(0, 0, 0, 255); radgrad4.addColorStop(0, '#000000'); radgrad4.addColorStop(1, '#ff0000'); ctx4.fillStyle = radgrad4; ctx4.fillRect(0,0,25,25); Thank you.

  • iPhone UIScrollView embedded UIView is clipped

    - by scc
    Hello. I have an iPad UIView subclass (we'll call LargerUIView) with which I do a bunch of drawing via drawRect: once asked. That all appears to be working, and looks the way I like. I'm at the point now of trying to get scrolling working (just in the horizontal to begin), yet when I try to scroll, what shows below is black (ie, appears to have never been drawn). That doesn't surprise me as it's likely been clipped. Looking for suggestions. Here's what I'm doing so far: MyAppDelegate.m - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions { CGRect scrollRect = CGRectMake(0, 0, 768, 1024); UIScrollView *scrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:scrollRect]; LargerUIView *view = (LargerUIView *)[viewController view]; [scrollView addSubview:view]; [scrollView setContentSize:CGSizeMake(768, pageHeight)]; [scrollView setContentMode:UIViewContentModeRedraw]; [scrollView setClipsToBounds:YES]; [window addSubview:scrollView]; [scrollView release]; // Without this next line, the "frontmost" (ie, most recently added subview) // is the MoxiesAppetizerMenu - which is not equipped to handle scrolling/UIEvents [window sendSubviewToBack:view]; // Show it all. [window makeKeyAndVisible]; return YES; } Any suggestions? Have tried changing "setClipsToBounds" to NO as well.
