  • Python module seeing a full list as empty in another module

    I'm working on a pygame project and have the main engine layed out. The problem is I hit a bug that I just can not seem to figure out. What happens is one module can't read a variable from another module. It's not that the variable can't be read, it just sees an empty list instead of what it really is. Instead of posting the entire source code I reproduced the bug in two small snippets that hopefully a skillful python-ist can interpret in his\her head.   • Floats not staying inside div in webkit browser, but do if cached.

    Hiya All, I have a rather strange bug which i can't make sense of that is apearing in webkit based browsers (chrome and safari). When this page http://bluprintliving.mammalworld.com/turnmill-street loads for the first time the content seems to jump out of the container but only at the end of the render. on refresh it stays in and behaves. Generally the page in cache and out of cache looks different. Anyone have any ideas or clues they can shed on this issue? Much appreciated. But my goal is to generate a PDF from a view with the media=print format and sends it in attachment by email. I have a view that displays a report. I use CSS Print to display this report in a print format. (Basically I display some elements and hide others). How can I generate a PDF from this view (with format media=print) and send it by e-mail in attachment. I am using ActionMailer to send emails and iTextSharp to generate PDFs

  • Crystal Reports and WMF image

    I have a problem with inserting a vector graphics (WMF) into report (Crystal Reports v10.5 from Visual Studio 2008). The image is static, inserted by choosing "Insert Picture" during report design in VS. The problem is that it displays differently (size and aspect ratio) on machines with different operating systems and screen resolutions. Converting to bitmap isn't possible beacause loss of the quality of print isn't acceptable. I thought about dynamic loading of the image, but in this version of CR. I don't see a possibility to set dynamic graphic location in picture properties. Is there any way to solve this problem?

  • Vb.exe performance time

    Hi I am running a vb.exe through automation. In exe I have return a code which takes a data from database and saves that data into file. I ran that .exe for the first time. It took 1 mins. For testing baseline I called same .exe 5 times one after the other. But it took nearly 10 mins to generate. My question is if it takes 1 min for 1 report to generate then it should take 5 mins to generate 5 report but why it is taking 10 mins (more than the double). Is there any problem while calling a exe one after the other?

    I'm creating a new template to create reports from at a later date. I know how to create one, and I know where to save it. However, the problem is this. Everything that is created on the report uses the default font of Arial with a size of 10pt. I need to set mine to default to Tahoma 11pt. I can create a mock title, mock tables, etc and save those to Tahoma 11pt, but any new controls that are used on any version of this report will default back to Arial 10pt. How do I fix this?

    Hi, I've encountered an inconsistent bug with MacRuby and have no idea how to go about debugging this. If anyone could help would be great. I don't know if this is due to my own code or is it a bug in the MacRuby framework.     I'm starting to do a small amount of development within my company. I'm intending to use Git for version control, and I'm interested to see what guidelines or standards people are using around version in their groups, similar to coding standards are often written within the group for the group. I'm assuming there will be things like; Commit often (at least every day/week/meeting etc) Release builds are always made from the master branch Prior to release, a new branch will be created for Testing and tagged as such. only bug fixes from this point onwards. The final release of this will be tagged as such and the bug fixes merged back into the trunk Each developer will have a public repo New features should get their own branch Obviously a lot of this will depend on what cvs you're using and how you've structured it.     I have been trying to find a way to capture the output (rendered view) of another action within the current action... something akin to output buffering. The scenario is that I need to save a "snapshot" of a report. The data used in the report is ever-changing, and for whatever reason I need to actually save the view HTML rather than just a data array. I have created a snapshotAction(), and I want to somehow capture the output of the separate reportAction() within it. I don't want to render the reportAction() to the screen, I want it to render within my current action, before the action completes. Is there any way to do this in ZF?

I've highlighted a number of advanced manufacturing technologies such as CAD etc. However, I want to bring cloud computing into the report just to score some extra points. I am not sure how one would bring together cloud computing with the advanced technologies though.   • Using excel import wizard through code?

    I am creating a Generate Report button for some data in my application. The report will just generate a CSV file, which I then automatically launch in excel. Problem is with one of the data fields, is text and has leading zeroes (which I need to keep). When the file is automatically opened in excel, excel automatically trims these. Is there anyway I can get it so that it opens with the data in the format I want it. I know you achieve this normally by opening the CSV file from within excel and can do the import wizard. So one potential solution would be to auto open the import wizard when the app launches this file. I don't know if this is possible. Thanks for reading.

    I have an ASP.NET application which runs under the Classic .NET AppPool in IIS. I have a report to render from my website. The problem is SQL Server keeps telling me that it failed to create a connection to the datasource, because login failed for user IUSR. After adding that user directly to the databse I could get the report to work, but I'm concerned about security. By doing that, am I opening my specified databases to all websites hosted on IIS? Or is that account identity-specific?

  • Any reason why NGEN should hang and never complete for a particular assembly?

    I have a class library project for .NET 3.5 built with Visual Studio 2008. If I try to NGEN the core assembly in this solution file, NGEN never completes, or at least not in the time I've bothered to let it run (like overnight). Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, did you solve it? And if you did, how? What steps did you take? If this is a bug in NGEN, how do I post this to Microsoft? I have a connect account, but where do I post a bug-report for this particular product, instead of a .NET class (which I know where to go for.) The class library in question can be found here: http://svn.vkarlsen.no:81/svn/LVK/LVK_3_5/trunk (subversion 1.6 repository) The problematic assembly is the LVK.Core assembly.

  • How to make pdb recognize that the source has changed between runs?

    From what I can tell, pdb does not recognize when the source code has changed between "runs". That is, if I'm debugging, notice a bug, fix that bug, and rerun the program in pdb (i.e. without exiting pdb), pdb will not recompile the code. I'll still be debugging the old version of the code, even if pdb lists the new source code. So, does pdb not update the compiled code as the source changes? If not, is there a way to make it do so? I'd like to be able to stay in a single pdb session in order to keep my breakpoints and such. FWIW, gdb will notice when the program it's debugging changes underneath it, though only on a restart of that program. This is the behavior I'm trying to replicate in pdb.

  • Server side alerts for client side app

    Here's the scenario: User interacts with Adobe flex webpage to configure reports based on some data stored server side. They configure their view and have THAT view emailed to them daily. I've got the report builder, the part I'm trying to figure out is how to render the report server side and send it out as email (native flex functionality? convert to html? take screenshot? assume something is running client side?...)
