  • Retrieving data from enumerated JSON sub arrays in Javascript without getJSON

    I'm new to JSON and ajax, but i'm trying to access data in an array where the items are enumerated in a sub array within another sub array. So, I can access without issues data.items[0].details.specs.name data.items[0].details.specs.id etc But I run into problems with I try to access something like data.items[0].details.specs[1].name data.items[0].details.specs[1].id data.items[0].details.specs[2].name data.items[0].details.specs[2].id etc Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to access this second aspect?     Can I get solar winds to change a DNS alias in Active directory based upon a specific set of events or conditions? I have a collection of applications that use hostnames in combination with database names in order to resolve database connections, problem is that they haven't considered how a failover would work in practice so I want the product to provoke a change in DNS to point the apps at the right place if we get into a failure situation. Can it be done?

  • How to handle concurrency control in ASP.NET Dynamic Data?

    I've been quite impressed with dynamic data and how easy and quick it is to get a simple site up and running. I'm planning on using it for a simple internal HR admin site for registering people's skills/degrees/etc. I've been watching the intro videos at www.asp.net/dynamicdata and one thing they never mention is how to handle concurrency control. It seems that DD does not handle it right out of the box (unless there is some setting I haven't seen) as I manually generated a change conflict exception and the app failed without any user friendly message. Anybody know if DD handles it out of the box? Or do you have to somehow build it into the site?

  • Crashes in Core Data's Inferred Mapping Model Creation (Lightweight Migration). Threading Issue?

    I'm getting random crashes when creating an inferred mapping model (with Core Data's lightweight migration) within my application. By the way, I have to do it programmatically in my application while it is running. This is how I create this model (after I have made proper currentModel and newModel objects, of course): NSMappingModel *mappingModel = [NSMappingModel inferredMappingModelForSourceModel:currentModel destinationModel:newModel error:&error]; The problem is this: This method is crashing randomly. When it works, it works just fine without issues. But when it crashes, it crashes my application (instead of returning nil to signify that the method failed, as it should). By randomly, I mean that sometimes it happens and sometimes not. It is unpredictable. Now, here is the deal: I'm running this method in another thread. More precisely, it is located inside a block that is passed via GCD to run on the global main queue. I need to do this for my UI to appear crisp to the user, i.e. so that I can display a progress indicator while the work is underway. The strange thing seems to be that if I remove the GCD stuff and just let it run on the main thread, it seems to be working fine and never crashing. Thus, could it be because I'm running this on a different thread that this is crashing? I somehow find that weird because I don't believe I'm breaking any Core Data rules regarding multi-threading. In particular, I'm not passing any managed objects around, and whenever I need access to the MOC, I create a new MOC, i.e. I'm not relying on any MOC (or for that matter: anything) that has been created earlier on the main thread. Besides the little MOC stuff that occurs, occurs after the mapping model creation method, i.e. after the point at which the app crashes, so it can't possibly be a cause of the crashes under consideration here. All I'm doing is taking two MOMs and asking for a mapping model between them. That can't be wrong even under threading, now can it? Any ideas on what could be going on?

I've looked through this Wikipedia listing of data structures but didn't see anything similar. Unless I just missed it.

    I work on another guy's code, and I try to change the table cell background color when mouse over the cell, and change back to the original background color when mouse leave. I use the following code: var bgcolor=$(".cell-el").css("background-color") $(".cell-el").hover( function(){ $(this).css("background-color", "#3c3c36")}, //mouse enter, bg-color change function(){ $(this).css("background-color", bgcolor) // mouse leave, bg-color change back }) Things are working fine, EXCEPT that when mouse first time enter the cell, the cell background color is not changed to "#3c3c36", but when mouse leave the cell after first entering and enter in the cell again, the cell's background color changed to "#3c3c36". That's the cell color never change for mouse first enter, after that, everything is working great. What's could be the cause of this problem?

Is there a way to extend the scope to all content of MyFolder?

  • Can't get the JSONP workin' with WCF Data Services...

    What am I missing here? It seems from all that I read and watched, exposing JSON from a WCF Data Service should be as easy as adding the '[JSONPSupportBehavior]' directive in front of the Service Class. Problem is VS2010 doesn't recognize 'JSONPSupportBehavior'. Is there a reference I am missing? Seemed like, from alll the articles, it was supportted outta the box. TIA S.

  • Unable to change keyboard shortcut

    I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 with KDE. I'm trying to setup my desktops with shortcuts alt+1 for desktop 1 and alt+2 for desktop 2 etc. The problem is that Page Settings refuses to change to the desired shortcut and gives no message as to why. When I press the alt key I see "Alt+" appear in the the box but when I add 1 it reverts back to "Input". Why won't KDE let me change the keyboard shortcut and what can I do to solve the problem?

  • Change Logon DPI setting in Windows 8.1

    I love how M$ keeps making decisions for me about how I want my desktop to look. Now they have added per-user dpi settings. The problem this has created is that there is no adjustable dpi setting for the Lock/Logon screen. Let me explain. you can change the dpi setting to be the same across all displays and this does affect the icons and font on the lock/logon screen. However it does not affect any app/program that can run on the lock/logon screen. Ex. I use a 44" flat screen tv for my monitor on my desktop. Big enough for me to sit in my recliner and use my comp. But I don't have a wireless keyboard. And it sucks having the wire from the keyboard running across the floor. Plus I really don't want to keep a keyboard next to me. So I use the on screen keyboard for logging in and quick typing (search, web address, etc.) So the problem is that with the new dpi setup my on screen keyboard takes up nearly half the screen. Does M$ think we are all blind? Oh no I remember they think desktops should look like tablets and phones. I tried looking through the registry to see if I could find a setting for it. In the key HKEY_USERS.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop there is a string value named "LogicalDPIOverride" with a value of -1. I have a feeling this is where I can fix the issue. I tried changing the value to 0 and to 1 with no change in the result. Instead I noticed that after logging out and back in the -1 value was back in the registry. So now M$ has also added a way for us to not be able to change a setting in the registry. They are making it harder and harder for us power users to be able to do anything with the settings in windows. Soon we will all have the same exact Windows with absolutely no customization. ok sorry for the quick rant. The real question here is. How can I change this defualt dpi crap? Can I use the LogPixels string that worked for dpi in Windows 7?     When you have multiple websites and each of them maps the same physical path as virtual directory, how to quickly change the physical path of that virtual directory for all websites? Note: I don't want to do use IIS Manager. I tried changing the path (find and replace) in %SYSTEM%\system32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config, then restarted IIS, but the change hasn't taken effect. What am I missing?

    After finding out adding an autorun on a flash drive to change the icon to actually look like your flash drive, then after finding out that it'd work for Hard Drives too, I started to wonder if you could change your whole computer's icon so other computers on your network could actually see your physical computer.     I can't change Firefox's menu background color using userChrome.css on Windows 7. menubar, menubutton, menulist, menu, menuitem { color: red !important; background-color: orange !important; } This seems to work as the menubar changes to red and orange. But the background-color on the actual drop down menu stays the same (that Windows 7 menu look), although the text color does change to red. Any ideas??

  • What is a 'better' approach to query/save from server: DTO or Wcf Data Services?

    From my perspective, the Data Services and their query approach is useful when querying simple object graphs from your server-side domain model. But when you want to query complex dependencies I couldn't create anything good out of it. The classic DTO approach is fine-grained and can handle everything, but the downside is that you have to create Dto classes for every type of server-request which is time consuming and you have to synchronize the Dto type with your domain entity/business logic.
