    I am using class.upload.php to handle an image upload from a form that submits employee details to a MySQL database. class.upload.php does EXACTLY what I want it to do, resize the image and rename it - what I am now trying to accomplish is to upload via Ajax after the user selects the file and then display it in the form while they continue entering details. How would this best be accomplished with jQuery?

How do i dynamically create classes with Strings using GWT.create()?   • How to use the callback method with a c++ directshow sample grabber

    I have a sample grabber hooked into my directshow graph, based on this example http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd407288(VS.85).aspx the problem is that it uses one shot and buffers. I want to continuously grab samples, and i'd rather have a callback than i guess polling for the samples. How do use the SetCallback method? SetCallback(ISampleGrabberCB *pCallback, long WhichMethodToCallback) how do I point pCallback to my own method?

    I've referenced the MSMQ v3 Object Library in a VS2010 C# project only to get: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0188401C-247A-4FED-99C6-BF14119D7055} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)). I've registered the library the reference points to: regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\mqoa.dll What am I missing? Assuming this works, what will I have to do at deployment to ensure the app will run on other machines with MSMQ installed?

    The MSDN documentation tells me the following: The GZipStream class uses the gzip data format, which includes a cyclic redundancy check value for detecting data corruption. The gzip data format uses the same compression algorithm as the DeflateStream class. It seems GZipStream adds some extra data to the output (relative to DeflateStream). I'm wondering, in what type of a scenario would it be essential to use GZipStream and not DeflateStream?

  • Trying to change variables in a singleton using a method

    I am trying to use a singleton to store variables that will be used across multiple view controllers. I need to be able to get the variables and also set them. How do I call a method in a singleton to change the variables stored in the singleton. total+=1079; [var setTotal:total]; where var is a static Singleton *var = nil; I need to update the total and send to the setTotal method inside the singleton. But when I do this the setTotal method never gets accessed. The get methods work but the setTotal method does not. Please let me know what should.     I'm looking to re-create the Apple Store shopping cart sidebar. http://store.apple.com/us/configure/MB535LL/A?mco=MTA4MTg3NTQ It is similar to "position: fixed" except that it starts out as "position: absolute" with the CSS class "pinned_top" and then switches to CSS class "floating" when a certain scroll-y position is reached. I've looked EVERYWHERE for this, it seems a tutorial should be obvious but I'm yet to find anything. Any help?

But the instances of Label will not get its data members fill in. I have also tried to do this using plain variables (not properties). If they were filled in, the image would actually show "3" and "Text rad 1". So what do I put in the class "Label" to have the properties right? Should there be some kind of annotation? Where do I read about this?

    I was hoping to do something like this, but it appears to be illegal in C#: public Collection MethodThatFetchesSomething<T>() where T : SomeBaseClass { return T.StaticMethodOnSomeBaseClassThatReturnsCollection(); } I get a compile-time error: "'T' is a 'type parameter', which is not valid in the given context." Given a generic type parameter, how can I call a static method on the generic class? The static method has to be available, given the constraint.
