  The good folks who created the SVN version control system use a structure they refer to as "skip deltas" to store the revision history of files internally. A revision is stored as a delta against an earlier revision. However, revision N is not necessarily stored as a delta against revision N-1, like this: 0 <- 1 <- 2 <- 3 <- 4 <- 5 <- 6 <- 7 <- 8 <- 9 Instead, revision N is stored as a delta against N-f(N), where f(N) is the greatest power of two that divides N: 0 <- 1 2 <- 3 4 <- 5 6 <- 7 0 <------ 2 4 <------ 6 0 <---------------- 4 0 <------------------------------------ 8 <- 9 (Superficially it looks like a skip list but really it's not that similar - for instance, skip deltas are not interested in supporting insertion in the middle of the list.)   There is a site of ill-repute known as thedirty which has completely mirrored my site and now has links appearing on Google at the #1 spot using my content. I checked my log files and noticed that this site has been crawling mine for sometime, and also has 10,000 links from their site to mine. I have blocked user access which is referred from this site and reported them as web spam to Google already. I also disavowed the domain. How are they getting top links in Google (even overtaking mine) for such nefarious tactics? What are the steps to completely eliminating an issue such as this?

• How do I calculate the motion of 2 massive bodies in space?

  I'm writing code simulating the 2-dimensional motion of two massive bodies with gravitational fields. The bodies' masses are known and I have a gravitational force equation. I know from that force I can get a differential equation for coordinates. I know that I once I solve this equation I will get the coordinates. I will need to make up some initial position and some initial velocity. I'd like to end up with a numeric solver for the ordinal differential equation for coordinates to get the formulas that I can write in code. Could someone break down how from laws and initial conditions we get to the formulas that calculate x and y at time t?

• Disabling eth0 Module on a Macbook Aluminum

  The Ubuntu page for my device states the following at the bottom (Known Issues) PowerTOP reports that the module for the 10/100/1000 interface wakes the processor 100+x/sec, accounting for 50% of wakeups on an idle system. This dramatically shortens battery life. One potential solution is to unload this module if you only use wireless. I only use wireless, but I could not find instructions to "unload the module". I have a feeling if I try something related to this, but not the same, battery life will not improve and my eth0 won't work. Anyone have a good guide on this?
