  • jQuery remove SELECT options based on another SELECT selected on change and on load

    I'm using the following jQuery code to remove options from a select and it is working well. But instead of it only executing when the theOption2 select is changed I would also like it to work when the page is loaded depending on the selected item that is selected. I tried using the a copy of the script and changing the .change to .load and also tried using (window).load without the desired results. Essentially, I need the script to execute on change of the Options1 and on the loading of the page.     I'm getting started with RegEx and I was wondering if anyone could help me craft a statement to convert coordinates as follows: 145.00694,-37.80421,9 145.00686,-37.80382,9 145.00595,-37.8035,16 145.00586,-37.80301,16 to 145.00694,-37.80421 145.00686,-37.80382 145.00595,-37.8035 145.00586,-37.80301 (Strip off the last comma and value and turn it into a line break.) I can't figure out how to use wildcards to do something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    A system has up to 100 VC++ projects, each spitting out a DLL or EXE. In addition there are many COM components with IDL and generated .h/.c files. What's 'the right way' or at least a good way to organise this with Doxygen? One overall doxy project or one per project/solution? And what's the right way to handle COM, which has generated code and a lot of 'fluff' that will bloat generated HTML files.

  • Accessing WordPress categories from outside

    So, I have a client that needs all the categories from their blog to be displayed on their homepage. The WordPress blog is in its own directory, /blog. I have tried the following code (taken from a tutorial, I changed the path to fit clients site): <?php // Include WordPress define('WP_USE_THEMES', false); require('blog/wp-load.php'); query_posts('showposts=1'); ?> But this code just redirects me to the install file of WordPress (it actually wrongly redirects me). It goes to http://www.site.com/wp-admin/install.php instead of http://www.site.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php. Is there a better way than this method? I would pull in the categories from the database table, but I do not currently have access. Thanks!

    Hello, I have form in my ASP.NET masterPage.master and if i click on submit it call some method from masterPage.master.cs file by ajax (i have it in update panel). But i want improve it with jQuery. Because i need use it in success: function () { } i need clear this box and write here some text (error or success).

  • CQRS without using others patterns

    I would like to explain CQRS to my team of developers. I just can't figure out how to explain it in the simplest way so they can implement the pattern rapidly without any others frameworks. I've read a lot of resources including video and articles but I don't find how to implement CQRS without using others patterns like a service Bus, event sourcing pattern, domain driven design. I know the purpose of these pattern but for the first step, I don't want them to think CQRS and theses patterns must be tied together. My first idea is to say that CQRS is about separating the read part and the write part. The read part is composed only of the UI project, and DAL project. Then the write part is composed of a typical multilayer architecture: UI/BLL/DAL. Then, does CQRS say we must also have two datastore ? What about the notion of commands which reveal the user's intention, is it also something part of CQRS or DDD ? Basically, how to implement CQRS without using others patterns. I concede it's also not that clear in my mind because I've used to work with NCQRS/DDD/Event Sourcing/ServiceBus in my personal project. Thanks

  • ASP .NET Button event handlers do not fire on the first click, but on the second click after a PostB

    Background: I am customizing an existing ASP .NET / C# application. It has it's own little "framework" and conventions for developers to follow when extending/customizing its functionality. I am currently extending some of it's administrative functionality, to which the framework provides a contract to enforce implementation of the GetAdministrationInterface() method, which returns System.Web.UI.Control. This method is called during the Page_Load() method of the page hosting the GUI interface. Problem: I have three buttons in my GUI, each of which have been assigned an Event Handler. My administration GUI loads up perfectly fine, but clicking any of the buttons doesn't do what I expect them to do. However, when I click them a second time, the buttons work. I placed breakpoints at the beginning of each event handler method and stepped through my code. On the first click, none of the event handlers were triggered. On the second click, they fired.     I'm creating a PDF file from a txt-template with tcpdf ([Example 8][1]). The txt-template looks like this: SALUTATION FIRSTNAME LASTNAME STREET CURRENTDATE SOMEMOREINFORMATION MYWEBSITE I replace those markers with the correct value. So that it would look like this: Mr. John Doe Downingstreet 10 14th May, 2010 [email protected] www.stackoverflow.com In this example, when I replace the values, the indention of the date is dependent on the length of the street name (which I don't want). I could solve this issue with str_pad but the problem is, I normally use three columns and there are lines which only have content in col1 and col3 as in the last line. How can I solve that problem? Is there something like the "overwrite" function in Word, that when you write, the text just gets overwritten? Thanks in advance.

  • Objective-C++ visibility question

    I have linked a library with my program. It works fine. The only problem is that there visibility errors/warnings (thousands of them). They are all of the form: newlib::method() has different visibility (default) in newlib.a and (hidden) in AppDelegate.o It is always with AppDelegate.o. I have tried to set the visibility for both the library and the main app in several ways: the visibility checkmark in XCode, and -fvisibility. Non seem to have worked. Is there somethin special about AppDelegate.mm?

  • set include_path for embed files like .js and .css?

    OK so I now know there is a way to put all my php files in a single place and have them be able to be included without a filepath by setting an include_path like so: php_value include_path .:/pathToPHPFiles OK so now as long as my PHP files are in this directory I can include them from any subdirectory as if they were in the same directory. I am wondering if there is a trick like this for other file types like .css and .js so I can put them all in single location and embed them in a page without worring about the filepath?
