    Hi, I've been documenting a software package using Sphinx and reStructuredText. Within my documents, there are some long code snippets. I want to be able to have them hidden as default, with a little "Show\Hide" button that would expand them (Example). Is there a standard way to do that?   • Embedding binary video data in a swf file

    Is it possible to play video from data that has been embedded in a swf at compile time (with the [Embed] metatag)? The "Import Video-Embed" feature provided by Flash CS3 etc. is not acceptable because it has many severe limitations (including sound synchronization issues, a maximum number of frames, and other caveats) I'm interested in being able to bundle flv video data in a swf (along with other assets), which will be played by an AIR application. I don't think it can be done. Anyone disagree?

  • Difficulty getting Saxon into XQuery mode instead of XSLT

    I'm having difficulty getting XQuery to work. I downloaded Saxon-HE 9.2. It seems to only want to work with XSLT. When I type: java -jar saxon9he.jar I get back usage information for XSLT. When I use the command syntax for XQuery, it doesn't recognize the parameters (like -q), and gives XSLT usage information.     How would you invert a stack, without using extra data structures, like a second, or temporary, stack. Thus no stack1-stack2 or stack-queue-stack implementation in the answer. You just have access to push/pop feature of a standard stack. I think there is way to do it by keeping a global counter and using pointer manipulation. If I solve it myself, I will post it. If someone else figures it out, please post your solution.

    If you've used Ruby on Rails, I'm thinking of the feature where the user types 'rails console' and instantly gets a Ruby console with rails and the current app already loaded.     I need to background load some WAV files for an HTML page using AJAX. I use AJAX to get the details of the WAV files, then use the embed tag, and I can confirm that the files have loaded successfully because when I set autostart to true, the files play. However, I need the files to play only when the user clicks on a button (or an event is fired). The following is my code to preload these files: function preloadMedia() { for(var i = 0; i < testQuestions.length; i++) { var soundEmbed = document.createElement("embed"); soundEmbed.setAttribute("src", "/media/sounds/" + testQuestions[i].mediaFile); soundEmbed.setAttribute("hidden", true); soundEmbed.setAttribute("id", testQuestions[i].id); soundEmbed.setAttribute("autostart", false); soundEmbed.setAttribute("width", 0); soundEmbed.setAttribute("height", 0); soundEmbed.setAttribute("enablejavascript", true); document.body.appendChild((soundEmbed)); } } I use the following code to play the file (based on what sound file that user wants to play) function soundPlay(which) { var sounder = document.getElementById(which); sounder.Play(); } Something is wrong here, as none of the browsers I have tested on play the files using the code above. There are no errors, and the code just returns. I would have left it at that (that is - I would have convinced the client to convert all WAV's to MP3 and use MooTools). But I realized that I could play the sound files, which were not dynamically embeded. Thus, the same soundPlay function would work for a file embeded in the following manner: <embed src="/media/sounds/hug_sw1.wav" id="sound2" width="0" heigh="0" autostart="false" enablejavascript="true"/> anywhere within the HTML. And it plays well in all the browsers. Anyone have a clue on this? Is this some sort of undocumented security restriction in all the browsers? (Please remember that the files do get preloaded dynamically, as I can confirm by setting the autostart property to true - They all play). Any help appreciated.

    Hey, I want to create a dialog using Glade 3 (or gtk and Python). In Glade 2 if you wanted to create a dialog box there was an option to set a "standard button layout" which would automatically create an Ok button and a Cancel button which return either gtk.RESPONSE_OK or gtk.REPONSE_CANCEL. This feature has not been reimplmented in Glade 3. How can I create a dialog which will have ok and cancel buttons which return the correct response? Cheers, Pete
