I built my setup project (which I have been using prior to moving to 3.5 SP1) and installed it on a test machine but the WebBrowser was not available. What must I do to be sure that the setup.exe/msi combination checks for and installs SP1?

  • Exiting full screen mode in Flash

    I am working on a flash game, that will be distributed as and EXE file. I would very much like the game to run full screen, which is not a problem, but I am struggling with replacing flash default behavior when escape is pressed. When escape is pressed I would like to display a custom menu asking the user if they want to exit the game or continue playing, not just exit full screen more. Is this possible in Flash?

I seem to remember a nice tool where I could drag its pointer over the GUI of my running application and get lots of info about what was pointed at - handle, size, text, parent, children, etc IIRC, if the exe include debug info I could also get the actual variable name as used in the source.     I want to develop a command line tool. I didn't build one before, but I used a few, (like mercurial). What steps do I need to take to know how to do that? So what is the problem: Regular console application need to be invoked from the command line only from it's directory. Like: C:\Projects\CommanLineProject\MyProjectConsole.exe. I want to use it from the command line from any directory, like mercurial.

  • Working with Content Shell on windows 7

    I can't run Content Shell on my system (Windows 7 x64): When i run --dump-render-tree with the stable release content_shell.exe crashes with message: [XXXX:XXXX:0522/XXXXXX:XXXXXXXXX:FATAL:content_main_runner.cc(735)] Check failed: base::i18n::InitializeICU() were X - some number. And i can't run dev build because it misses mojo_system.dll. Is there any way to fix it? Does it work on Linux or MacOS? If so i probably can run it in VM For the time being.

    Does anyone know of a stand-alone tool for C# code cleaning/auditing that can run outside of Visual Studio IDE so as to be part of a build. Or if that isn't possible can someone provide some guidance as to how to make Visual Studio part of a build process -- by that I mean it would be nice to run the IDE's Sort and Remove unused using statements on all files as part of the build, but even better would be an exe that can read the .sln, or .csproj and do the job as part of build system. I used the following code fp = fopen("Pkts.csv", "w+"); But file is not getting created in the current directory. But when I specifies the path as fp = fopen("C:\\Windows\\Pkts.csv", "w+"); the file gets created in the path specified. How to create the file in the current directory?

  • how to get around the command line length limit

    I've been working on a small and simple program that i drop files onto and based on certian rules they are moved to diffrent places. the program works fine unless i drop more than a few files on the program then it kicks back an error (that appears to be more windows than anything) that the start up command c:\myapp.exe \file \file \file is to long I realize i could set up a background proccess but i really would prefer that this program not run in the backround (where it would be idle 99.999999999% of the time) Can anyone think of any way around this limitation?

    Hello, So when your using ASP.NET Wizards to create a login, it uses a set of auto generated tables using the aspnet_regsql.exe tool... When you create a user using the wizard it generates a very long userID "a40cf936-1596-4560-a26c-450792e2c8c0" I want to add users using another program that connects to this database... but how does visual studio auto-generate this ID.
