  Hello, Please help me with writing function which takes two arguments : list of ints and index (int) and returns list of integers with negative of value on specified index position in the table MyReverse :: [Int]-Int-[Int] for example myReverse [1,2,3,4,5] 3 = [1,2,-3,4,5] if index is bigger then length of the list or smaller then 0 return the same list.   I have been writing my first jQuery plugin and struggling to find a means to time how long different pieces of code take to run. I can use firebug and console.time/profile. However, it seems that because my code executes so fast I get no results with profile and with time it spits out 0ms. (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2690697/firebug-profiling-issue-no-activity-to-profile/2690846#2690846) Is there a way to get the time at a greater level of detail that milliseconds in javascript?

  I am looking at writing a .net application that uses the Google AJAX Search API to determine where our website falls for a given term compared to a competitor. I can find alot about the old SOAP API however for the new AJAX api I cannot find any information on the following: Is this sort of use allowed as the Terms of use are vague Is there a limit to the number of requests per day As you can only get a max of 8 results at a time, is the only way to get the top 100 results to keep requesting the next set and is this an issue?   Say I'm writing a Django app, and all the templates in the app require a certain variable. The "classic" way to deal with this, afaik, is to write a context processor and add it to TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS in the settings.py. My question is, is this the right way to do it, considering that apps are supposed to be "independent" from the actual project using them? In other words, when deploying that app to a new project, is there any way to avoid the project having to explicitly mess around with its settings?

  On Fedora Core 7, I'm writing some code that relies on ARG_MAX. However, even if I #include <limits.h>, the constant is still not defined. My investigations show that it's present in <sys/linux/limits.h>, but this is supposed to be portable across Win32/Mac/Linux, so directly including it isn't an option. What's going on here?

  I've heard that OpenGL ES and standard iPhone UI controls don't play well together, but I'm wondering if anyone knows why, and what the effects are? I'm writing an OpenGL based game, and the view is loaded from a nib file with ui controls, and it seems to work ok, but the game is really simple at this point... does using ui controls cause some kind of performance hit?

  Hi, As far as I know when writing a conditional statement in C such as the following: if ( some_function() == 100 && my_var == 5 ) { //do something } is slower to execute than if ( my_var == 5 && some_function() == 100 ) { //do something } because it's faster to execute the my_var == 5 rather than all of the code in the function ( because if my_var != 5, then the rest of the if statement would not even be executed )...so I am wondering if the same is true for conditional statements in PHP?

• Sending @reply in curl

  I'm writing an identi.ca client, and seems that @reply isn't working. After investigation I found that @ prefix is used by curl to indicate file upload, and escaping with \@reply doesn't work; curl doesn't remove the \ at the front. I also can't format the postfields to query string, as I need to send files on that request too. Is there any method to send both @reply and file upload in the same request?
