    I have a Windows 2003 64 bit terminal server which we run a Java application from. The application has always worked up until 2 days ago. No new updates have been installed to the server in that time frame. I have tried re-installing java 64 bit but still have the following error. Is there a way to save all my settings, account info etc. before uninstalling? There was a settings migration wizard in Office 2003, it seems gone from 2007.

    Hi I try to show the Mail Control Panel item in Windows 2008 R2. I only type the Name "Mail" in to the "Show only specified Contol Panel items Properties" in the Group Policy. In Windows 2008 R2 that doesn't work and theres no item in the Control Panel to configure Outlook 2010 Profiles. I already tried with: Mail and Mail(32-bit).     I am creating an intranet website on a Vista 32 machine with IIS7. On my machine it works great! However, when other users on our network try to connect to it they get an error saying "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to computername". Perhaps this is because the NTFS and/or IIS permissions are not set correctly. How do I set the permissions to publish a website on the intranet?   • Anything to share a printer from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows?

    I've got a printer which only has 32-bit drivers, so it's installed on a 32-bit machine (XP). I need it to appear as a printer (with duplex control etc) on a 64-bit machine (Vista). I can't just share it using Windows printer sharing because the 64-bit client requires drivers to connect to it. There's no 64-bit driver for a similar printer that works (using the new port named \\server\printername). I've tried the ghostscript approach but that doesn't seem to help with the duplex control etc. Printeranywhere doesn't support 64-bit OS yet. Is there another way to do this?

    Firefox can be startet via Commandline How can I run an application with command line arguments in Mac OS Is there an argument to make it start in 32 bit ? I know i could select it via finder, but thats no option for my problem I have solved a similar problem for chrome by creating an Automator "Launcher" which start Chrome with deactivated flash, but for that I need to know whether there is a command line argument to set 32bit. Maybe by changing systems settings by "default" ?

  • SQLCODE -1390 connecting to DB2 64 bit client from 32 bit app

    Hi there, I've got a 32 bit application that connects normally to a DB2 database. (written in C) When I run it on a machine with a DB2 64 bit client, I get a SQLCODE -1390 from connect. (Win7 64 Bit, DB2 V9.7 client 64 bit) Connecting from the command line works (db2 connect to ...) With a 32 Bit DB2 client on the same Win7 64 Bit machine, the connect also works. Does anyone has an idea how to fix it ? Best regards Oliver

    I have installed the final RTM version of Windows 7 professional 64 bit on a test system before we begin the roll out in our company. I'm having problems connecting to several HP printers that we have on the network. These printers are being shared from a Windows 2003 server host. I have downloaded the lastest HP Universal Printer dirver, however I'm unable to add the 64 bit driver onto the 2003 server system (it's 32 bit). Does anyone have any advice on how I can get connected to these printers from the Windows 7 system?

    Hello, I’m trying to install a 32-bit ASP.NET application onto a 64-bit IIS server running on Windows Server 2008. This is a clean installation of the operating system with no other applications installed. As a prerequisite for our installation, we run the 32-bit version of aspnet_regiis –i It fails with the following message: The error indicates that IIS is not installed on the machine. Please install IIS before using this tool. Additionally: IIS is definitely installed. The 64 bit version of aspnet_regiis runs cleanly without warnings. “Enable 32 bit applications” is set to True in the DefaultAppPool’s Advanced Settings. The IIS Metabase and IIS 6 configuration compatibility” component is installed. We have a test VM where this error occurs as well as test VM where both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of aspnet_regiis run without errors. We've had no luck distinguishing the differences between the two test VMs. We have struggled with this issue for several days to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The problem is that my code was always working in 32-bit environments, but when I try THE SAME executable in a 64-bit computer it crashes with a System.OverflowException exception.     Possible Duplicate: Why 64 bit OS can't run a 16 bit application? How do I get 16-bit programs to work on a 64-bit Windows? Here at work my new development machine is Windows 7 64-bit (so I can use extra memory and run VMs). However I have a dilemma: it appears that 16-bit DOS programs do not run under Windows 7 64-bit. I have an old legacy program written in Clipper that I need to run periodically. I cannot access the compatibility setting as Windows 7 just greys them out.

  • Sound and Video Skips on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit

    I preformed a dist-upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10 and now I can not listen to any music or sounds (log on sound included), nor watch video without it stopping and then catching up and stopping again (This is flash or .mp4 through VLC). I did not have this issue with 11.04 and have even just preformed a fresh install of my system. I have tried to reinstall Pulse Audio and removing the .pulse folder but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there I am trying to install Skype through apt-get but I am having some trouble. The Skype package depends on skype-bin which is not found in my list of packages. So when trying to install Skype I get the following error. $ sudo apt-get install skype Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Does anyone know why this might happen? Am I missing a repository? I get similar results when downloading the .deb from their site. But it complains about ai32-libs not being installable. This is because it depends on another package that does not exist in my list. Please bear in mind that this is a custom install from the company I work for. They have secured it and I think they have updated it over time and skipped versions, possibly breaking things.

Now I am planning to install Windows XP sp3 (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64bit). My first questions are: Is my system enough for the above mentioned two OSes? Which OS one should be installed first on local disk c: drive? I have both XP and vista drivers on separate disks as provided with my motherboard but don't have drivers for win-7, so can I use my vista driver for win-7?

    Hi All, Does anyone experience this problem of corrupted .WAR file after it has been copied over the network share ? this is .WAR file (Web Archive) the J2EE application file (.WAR file is compressed with the same zip algorithm i think ?) Scenario 1: Windows Server 2008 x64 transfer into Windows XP using RDP client (Local Devices and Resources) Scenario 2: Windows XP 32 bit transfer into Windows Server 2003 x64 using shared network drive (port 445 SMB ?) for both of the scenario it always failed / corrupted (the source code seems to be duplicated at the end of line when you open up in the Eclipse / Java IDE). but when in both scenario i compressed the file into .ZIP file everything is OK. can anyone explains why this problem happens ?   • SQL Management Studio is painfully slow on 32-bit Windows 7

    I've been having issues running anything in SQL Management Studio on Win 7. Basically, doing anything through the Management Studio interfaces completely freezes it up for a few minutes. Running a query is nearly impossible because it takes nearly 2 minutes just for the IDE to parse it and another minute to run it when the query itself completes instantaneously outside of the IDE. I'm not even going to go into the query designer. Anything with heavy user interaction such as editing a row in the result set where i have to click a cell freezes up the front-end. I tried reinstalling to no avail. Also tried running in compatibility mode without any difference whatsoever. Anybody had a similar experience? I'm running SQL Management Studio 2008 version 10.0.2531.0 on 32-bit Windows 7. Connecting to a remote SQL Server instance (2008 R2). Thanks.

    I installed Apache Tomcat-7.0.32 on Linux Mandriva and I want to make it accessible. for this I need to open ports in iptables. I added the following rules- iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8081 --syn -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8010 --syn -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8444 --syn -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8006 --syn -j ACCEPT then save and restart iptables - /etc/init.d/iptables save /etc/init.d/iptables restart verify, that ports is open - netstat -tulpn | less I am running command - netstat-ntpl | grep java and see - When I disable the firewall, I see the start page of the server on request - http://server_ip:8081/ When enable - server not accessible from outside. In what may be the cause? I would be most grateful for the information! Thank you!

    Recently Apple released a Java update. I mindlessly downloaded and installed it, thinking it must be good (I know that was stupid on my part). Now chrome doesn't work where sites require Java support. In terminal, java -version shows I have the 64bit version installed. I know Chrome does not support 64bit Java. I'd like to go back to the last version that worked for me, the 32-bit version. I don't want to use Safari or Firefox. I'd like Chrome to work. I have too much invested in customizing it to work with another browser.
