  • Does .NET have a built in IEnumerable for multiple collections?

    - by Bryce Wagner
    I need an easy way to iterate over multiple collections without actually merging them, and I couldn't find anything built into .NET that looks like it does that. It feels like this should be a somewhat common situation. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. Is there anything built in that does something like this: public class MultiCollectionEnumerable<T> : IEnumerable<T> { private MultiCollectionEnumerator<T> enumerator; public MultiCollectionEnumerable(params IEnumerable<T>[] collections) { enumerator = new MultiCollectionEnumerator<T>(collections); } public IEnumerator<T> GetEnumerator() { enumerator.Reset(); return enumerator; } IEnumerator IEnumerable.GetEnumerator() { enumerator.Reset(); return enumerator; } private class MultiCollectionEnumerator<T> : IEnumerator<T> { private IEnumerable<T>[] collections; private int currentIndex; private IEnumerator<T> currentEnumerator; public MultiCollectionEnumerator(IEnumerable<T>[] collections) { this.collections = collections; this.currentIndex = -1; } public T Current { get { if (currentEnumerator != null) return currentEnumerator.Current; else return default(T); } } public void Dispose() { if (currentEnumerator != null) currentEnumerator.Dispose(); } object IEnumerator.Current { get { return Current; } } public bool MoveNext() { if (currentIndex >= collections.Length) return false; if (currentIndex < 0) { currentIndex = 0; if (collections.Length > 0) currentEnumerator = collections[0].GetEnumerator(); else return false; } while (!currentEnumerator.MoveNext()) { currentEnumerator.Dispose(); currentEnumerator = null; currentIndex++; if (currentIndex >= collections.Length) return false; currentEnumerator = collections[currentIndex].GetEnumerator(); } return true; } public void Reset() { if (currentEnumerator != null) { currentEnumerator.Dispose(); currentEnumerator = null; } this.currentIndex = -1; } } }

  • Add Icon to Visual Studio 2008-Built Class Lib DLL?

    - by ScSub
I have a .ico that I want to add to several class library DLL projects, using Visual Studio Pro 2008. For each project, I added the ico, set the built type to 'embedded resource' and set the icon in the project prefs page. Still the icon is the default. What did I miss? Thanks.

  • Android Eclipse test projects cannot be used with a project being built in an Android build tree

    - by orospakr
An Android Java project placed in a git repository and built in an Android tree in /packages/apps needs to have the project files located at the root of the git repository. This is problematic for creating a complementary Test project, which should ideally be included in the same git repository so commits are atomic for both code and tests. Eclipse gets very unhappy if you include the Test project as a subdirectory. Is there an appropriate approach for dealing with this other than creating a second repository?

  • How are DynamicResources built and their use in contextmenus.

    - by miguel
Are dynamic resources truly dynamic? If I define a DynamicResource, I realise that an expression is created (where?) that is not translated into a resource until runtime, however, What I do not understans is whether this dynamicresouce, once built, is now "Static" For instance, if I create a context menu via a dynamicresource, are the menuitems which are created at runtime on access then static, even if they are bound? If so, how can i create a dynamic context menu in XAML?

    - by nick
I have an application built with GWT/Appengine/Jdo...and i am using Google User Service for authentication. Google Chrome Extensions can use OAuth...I don't really undestand OAuth yet.. Would GWT RPC have to be reworked to enable OAuth? Is there another way to authenticate users for Chrome Extensions?

  • Is there a built-in .NET method for getting all of the properties and values for an object?

    - by Ben McCormack
Let's say I have: public class Item { public string SKU {get; set; } public string Description {get; set; } } .... Is there a built-in method in .NET that will let me get the properties and values for variable i of type Item that might look like this: {SKU: "123-4556", Description: "Millennial Radio Classic"} I know that .ToString() can be overloaded to provide this functionaility, but I couldn't remember if this was already provided in .NET.

  • No pre-built ActionBar for Android pre-3.0?

    - by Ollie C
I note the release a few days ago of the static library bringing fragments to Android versions prior to 3.0, but does this library include the ActionBar? I suspect not. I assume that for an app that will work on pre-3.0 versions, that it needs a hand-built ActionBar implementation for versions up to 2.3 and then to use the OS default ActionBar in v3.0? for some reason I assumed the library had ActionBar in it, but as I dig further I'm not finding any evidence of its presence.

  • can I run C# built-in unit test in build machine?

    - by 5YrsLaterDBA
can I run C# built-in unit test in build machine which doesn't have Visual Studio installed? We are thinking add unit test to our Visual Studio 2008 C# project. Our build machine doesn't have VS installed and we want to integrate the new unit test with our auto-build system. Is MSTest the executable to launch the Team Test unit test?

  • How does the Built-in Bindings of Google Guice work?

    - by lony
Hello, I tried Google Guice the first time and find it very nice. But, when I reached the part of Built-in Bindings I do not understand the examples. For me it looks like I can use it for logging like an interceptor, but I don't know how. Could someone of you explain this type of Binding and how I can use it? And maybe (if it's possible) use it for logging?
