  I'm using Goddady for site hosting, and I'm currently using MySQL, because there are less limits on size,etc. My question is what is the difference between using a hosted Godaddy Db such as MySQL vs. creating a SQL Serverdatabase in the the App_Data folder? My guess is security? Would it be a bad idea to use a SQL ServerDB thats located in the App_Data folder? Additional Well I am able to create a .mdf (SQL Server DB file) in the App_Data folder, but I'm really unsure if should use that or not, If I did use it it would simplify using some of the Microsoft tools. Like I said my guess is that it would be less secure, but I don't really know. I know I have a 10gb, file system limit, so I'm assuming my db would have to share that space.

  If you see issues during configuration when using Oracle DB if not using UTF8: Workaround: a. During configuration of EPM products, a warning message is displayed if the Oracle DB is not UTF8 enabled. If you continue with the configuration, certain products will not work as they will not be able to read the contents in the tables as the format is wrong.b. The Oracle DB must be setup to use AL32UTF8 or a superset that contains AL32UTF8. c. The only difference between AL32UTF8 and UTF8 character sets is that AL32UTF8 stores characters beyond U+FFFF as four bytes (exactly as Unicode defines UTF-8). Oracle’s “UTF8” stores these characters as a sequence of two UTF-16 surrogate characters encoded using UTF-8 (or six bytes per character). Besides this storage difference, another difference is better support for supplementary characters in AL32UTF8 character set.

• How to prevent duplication of content on a page with too many filters?

  I have a webpage where a user can search for items based on around 6 filters. Currently I have the page implemented with one filter as the base filter (part of the url that would get indexed) and other filters in the form of hash urls (which won't get indexed). This way the duplication is less. Something like this example.com/filter1value-items#by-filter3-filter3value-filter2-filter2value Now as you may see, only one filter is within the reach of the search engine while the rest are hashed. This way I could have 6 pages. Now the problem is I expect users to use two filters as well at times while searching. As per my analysis using the Google Keyword Analyzer there are a fare bit of users that might use two filters in conjunction while searching. So how should I go about it? Having all the filters as part of the url would simply explode the number of pages and sticking to the current way wouldn't let me target those users. I was thinking of going with at max 2 base filters and rest as part of the hash url. But the only thing stopping me is that it would lead to duplication of content as per Google Webmaster Tool's suggestions on Url Structure.

• Content light website and Google - Tell google it's a listings site (as opposed shop, reviews or restaurants)

  I have a listings style website. Due to the nature of this (listings) the site is content light. Each page is typically less that 50 words but there are many pages. The site in question has had a ton of media coverage and so has some great inbound links from places like Wired, Fast Company, Canada Broadcasting Corporation and many many other bloggers, media websites and recycle related niche authors (It's a recycling site). But Google really ignores it. Traffic from search is very very low - less than 5% of all traffic. I know that using markup you can tell Google whether your site is a restaurant, article, review, shop, local business and a few other categories (https://www.google.com/webmasters/markup-helper/u/0/). Is there a way to tell Google that my site is a listings site? I suspect, but do not know for sure, that part of the problem is that Google simply does not know what my site is? It's a crowdmap where people post curbalerts. The information is useful to people but it is presented in a short, concise way - a pin on a map, a picture and a short description. Adding anything further is not necessary for the site's intended purpose. 1st question - how best to tell the search engines what y site is - listings and not some spammy website?   Problem: I'm asked to prepare a document where all our DB tables are listed and I'm supposed to list all Controllers that uses these DB tables for read and another list for Controllers that do write operations. Ex: +------------------------------------------+------------+ | DB table | tbl_Orders | +------------------------------------------+------------+ |Controllers that perform read operations | ?? | +------------------------------------------+------------+ |Controllers that perform write operations | ?? | +------------------------------------------+------------+ We are trying to write some documentation for a legacy system built using Zend framework. The code is scattered everywhere. There is code in the Controllers, in the models and even in the views. The application uses PROPEL as an ORM. What makes this really difficult is that the Controller may not be directly calling the table, but it may be instantiating a model class that calls that table. Is there an educated way to approach this crazy task? Note: Searching for the table name won't provide a solution because if a model uses that table I wouldn't know which Controller is using that model.

  Hi, I am writing a custom editor in a plugin, and I developed it in Galileo. Now I'm trying to run it in Ganymede, but content assist doesn't work. There is no error, just nothing happens when I type "ctrl+space". The way I'm doing it is by providing a custom Configuration class that extends SourceViewerConfiguration, overriding public IContentAssistant getContentAssistant(ISourceViewer sourceViewer). The method gets called when the editor is created but there is no content assist. Was there any change from Ganymede to Galileo that I should be aware of?

I do not need to worry about resizing it when content is changing. Is there any working examples using Extjs 3.2?   I have been coding a design I had been working on for a week or so and have core across a snag. While doing the HTML/CSS of one of my right column modules the content within it expands however the bg and bordered area it is within does not. htttp://www.gamefriction.com/Coded/ (url with example) http://www.gamefriction.com/Coded/css/style.css (css stylesheet used on page) This website is purely HTML and CSS at this time all code can be viewed through the View Source option on all browsers. The area that is not working properly is the bullet links in the right module with the blue background that says "League Menu". The content above that will make the module background expand however the linked bullet menu will not.

• Content-type not working in PHP

  Hi everyone, I have some issues with a PHP file that is not working properly. The Content-type does not get recieved by any browser at all. Firebug interprets the file as text/html instead of css. Here's the file : <?php header('Content-Type: text/css; charset=UTF-8'); error_reporting(E_ALL | E_STRICT); ini_set('display_errors', 'On'); /* CSS goes on from here */ I tested to put a row with echo 'TEST'; before the header line, and was expecting to see the classic "headers already sent" error, but nothing appears! • problem with squid and ecap for content analysis

  Hi, I need to inspect the content of a form before it is processed on the server. I am using squid proxy server with ecap adapter. In the adapter I can see the text typed in the text area but the content doesn't get to my jsp page when using an ecap adapter that allows me to take a look a the data coming in. I am using Squid proxy 3.1.10 with ecap adapter libecap v0.0.3 and Websphere App server 6.1. Anybody has some idea about what is causing this? Thank you, Cornel

I'm having trouble making it display the initial content, unfortunately it waits 5000 milliseconds before triggering the very first content area to display. • How to show content from contentPlaceholder inline

  Hi, I have a page where i in my masterpage have a toolbar with a "Home" button to the far left. This button is not in a contentplaceholder but on the page. I want to have the opportunity for derived pages to add their own controls or whatever to the toolbar to be whown after the "home" button. But how to do this? I have tried to put in a content placeholder, but it seems that i cannot get it to show inline with the other stuff, it breaks and the content of the contentplaceholder is shown below the button instead. anyone know how to solve this? /Brian
