  • .NET component for conversion to PDF

    Hi, I am looking for .NET component to convert different files into PDF format. Right now I need to be able to convert programmatically doc, xls and TIFF files to PDF. But I may need to deal with more file types in near future. I looked at Aspose.Words, it works good but for doc only. Is there any component on the market that would allow me to convert in my code all three file types? I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks, Anvar

How would I provide implicit conversions between sparse_vector<double> and boost::numeric::ublas::compressed_vector<double>?     I am trying to write an operator which converts between the differnt types of the same implementation. This is the sample code: template <class T = int> class A { public: A() : m_a(0){} template <class U> operator A<U>() { A<U> u; u.m_a = m_a; return u; } private: int m_a; }; int main(void) { A<int> a; A<double> b = a; return 0; } However, it gives the following error for line u.m_a = m_a;. Error 2 error C2248: 'A::m_a' : cannot access private member declared in class 'A' d:\VC++\Vs8Console\Vs8Console\Vs8Console.cpp 30 Vs8Console I understand the error is because A<U> is a totally different type from A<T>. Is there any simple way of solving this (may be using a friend?) other than providing setter and getter methods? I am using Visual studio 2008 if it matters.

    One of the affiliate networks provides a feed with the following time/date format. <startDate>1349992800000</startDate> <endDate>1355266799999</endDate> My problem is I am trying to convert this to a MYSQL format, I have tried mktime and strtotime with no luck the date seems to come out wrong. I know this is the time since the Equinox, I am just not sure how to convert this to a MYSQL format.

    Hi there, I have a date format like this : $date1 = "Sun May 09 20:07:50 +0000 2010"; and I have to convert it to: 09-05-2010 I am using date("d-m-Y", $date1)); When I print this individually it gives proper result but I am using it in loop it gives me results like: 31-12-1969 I don't understand why this is so? Can you help, please?

    Hello, I fear this is a dumb question, but I can't seem to find the answer. Pretty sure what that makes me...... I have C# generated HTML (HtmlGenerator), to which I sometimes want to insert a line break at a certain part of a cell's innertext. Here is how that comes out: <TD >There are lots of extra &lt; br /&gt; words here </TD> This then displays the <br/> as a part of my cell text - not good. Am I missing an easy way to have the <br/> preserved and not converted to &lt, etc...? thanks

    According to the java API, the constructor Date(year, month, day) is depreciated. I know that I can replace it with the following code: Calendar myCal = Calendar.getInstance(); myCal.set(Calendar.YEAR, theYear); myCal.set(Calendar.MONTH, theMonth); myCal.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, theDay); Date theDate = myCal.getTime(); However, I would like something shorter to replace it with (ideally one-two lines). Any suggestions?

    may be this question had been asked, I've searched but still not confident about my problem.. my problem is checking valid date from string $a='23-June-11'; //valid $b='Normal String';//invalid I want to convert $a and $b using strtotime() before I do that, of course i want to validate whether $a or $b is a valid date format From $a i can get 23, 11 using explode function, but how about 'June'? using function above, 'June' is not numeric

    We're using SQL Inserts to insert some data via a script into DB/2 tables, e.g. CREATE TABLE TICKETS (TICKETID VARCHAR(10) NOT NULL); On my home installation, this statement works fine (note that I'm using an integer which is autoatically cast into a VarChar): INSERT INTO TICKETS (TICKETID) VALUES (1); while at my customer's site I get a type error. My question(s): Is this behavior version dependent? (I use a DB2 Express V9.7, while the customer has an Enterprise V9.5) Is there a config option to change the behavior? (I would like my home install to behave as close as possible as the production environment is going to be.)

    I have three date ranges in mysql table as follow from 2013-09-29 to 2013-10-02 from 2013-10-14 to 2013-10-16 from 2013-10-28 to 2013-11-05 I want to count only days that occur in Month of October, for example from first range (2013-09-29 to 2013-10-02) I should get difference of two days (1st and 2nd October) , and it should ignore days from September month, Finally i want to count total days in a given month from above date ranges. Can it be done from direct mysql query. or any short PHP logic.
