Some sort of basic drawing facility (circle text, draw extremely crude diagrams, etc.) Not being platform-specific would be great too. Does anyone use or know of any project that fits the bill?

Is there any way for Shemp to see what Larry and Moe have already typed? I have tried copy-pasting the whole thing, but that invokes an error with no error message - possibly "too much text." • Upgrading Visio 2000 to Visio 2007

  I have Microsoft Visio 2000 SR 1, and recently purchased Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2007 with the understanding (supported by the product info and some other research) that I'd be able to upgrade. However, when I install 2007, it tells me it can't find a previous install of Visio, but... it's right there! Here's the exact message: "Setup can't find a version of Microsoft Office on your computer. If Office is installed on a disk or network share, click the browse button to select the appropriate disk or share... (etc.)" No matter which directory or drive I pick (various Office installs, the old Visio install, various subdirectories) it gives the following message: "The path you have chosen does not point at a qualifying upgradeable product. Click 'Retry' to try again or 'Cancel' to quit setup." Any ideas? This is a legit copy of Visio 2007 (purchased from Amazon) and the copy of Visio 2000 is legit as well. I'm not sure what exactly the installer is looking for that it would consider a "qualifying upgradeable product". A specific file?

  I'm doing a test deploy on a Lab with 3 VMs: TEST-DC: DC / DHCP / DNS / Root CA (Joined to TEST.AD Domain) TEST-CS: OCS Front End (Joined to TEST.AD Domain - IP: 10.0.128.1) TEST-EDGES: OCS Edge Server (Joined to Workgroup: EDGE-WKG - Internal IP: 10.0.128.3, External IPs: 192.168.129.12 - Access Edge Server, 192.168.129.13 - Web Conferencing, 192.168.129.14 - A/V) I can login with the Communicator Client from within computers in the domain (using [email protected]) and even the Automatic Sign-In works as expected. Nevertheless, I cannot login neither from within machines in the domain nor from outside the domain using [email protected].   We Have : Exchange 2007 Standard Edition IBM System X3650 2 x Intel Xeon 5430 2.66 GHz Version 8.1 Build 240.6 Mailbox, Hub Transport, Client Access Role Installed on One Box Total Number of Mailboxes : 110 - 130 6 Physical Disks Disk 0,1 (68 GB) = Raid-1, OS Partition ( C: Partition) Disk 2,3 (279GB) = Raid-1, Exchange Database (First and Second Storage Groups) ( D: Partition ) Disk 4,5 (68 GB) = Raid-1, Exchange Transaction Logs ( E: Partition ) Setup: Storage Groups : D:\First Storage group\Mailbox database.edb Storage Groups : D:\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database.edb Transaction Logs : E Partition Problem 1: On our D Partition (Mailbox Database Partition), total size is 279 GB, free space remaining is 64.7 GB, when I select the first storage group and second storage group folders and right click properties they report a size of 165 GB. Mailbox database reports a size of 157GB when right clicked Properties. where as the size displayed in the folder is 164,893,456 KB So, we are missing around 50-54 GB, there is nothing else on these drives, no page file, nothing at all. The partition housing the Transaction logs is reporting the sizes accurately. Any suggestions / fixes on the above ? Problem 2: As you may have already read in Problem 1, the size of the mailbox database is 157GB or 164GB reported; which is not recommended, a) What would you suggest we should do to divide mailboxes in storage groups on this same server ? b) How would we move mailboxes into different storage groups ? c) This is the information store size ? (Am I right in thinking that this is not recommended) d) Having multiple storage groups with one Mailbox DB in each, would that reduce the size of the Information Store? e) Any suggestions / how-to reduce the size of information store ? We didn't install this, we have inherited this - what other recommendations you can make in order to keep ourselves better prepared for any server disaster? We are backing up with Yosemite Backup on RD1000 (320GB) at the moment, which is backing up successfully, flushing the logs daily. We haven't done a test restore YET. I have tried to provide as much info as possible, please let me know if you need further info. Also, we haven't yet faced any problems in mailflow, access speeds, everything is working fine, we have two to five people accessing OWA or Outlook via vpn only. • VSTO - Outlook 2007 How do I show a user property even when it's not present?

  I have added user property in a mail folder, let's call it UserProperty01. Some of the folder items have this property, some don't. I need to show in the folder's view if that property is set or not, so I added another property called UserProperty01Present, and I set it to true when I set the original property and false when I deleted it; then I added it to the folder's view. The problem is that the little checkbox appears checked in those mails where the property is set, blank in those where the property was deleted... and nowhere at all in those where the property was never set in the first place. My question is, is there any way to show the blank checkbox when the property is not set? The only alternative I found so far is looking in every mail item and setting it to false when it's not set every time the folder is opened; needless to say, I'm not very happy with this solution. Is there any other way? Thank you for your time.

  I have a Firebird database (running on server version 2.1.3) and am connecting to it with Delphi 2007 using the DBExpress objects (using the Interbase driver) One of my tables in the database looks something like this CREATE TABLE MYTABLE ( MYDATE Timestamp NOT NULL, MYINDEX Integer NOT NULL, ... Snip ... PRIMARY KEY (MYDATE ,MYINDEX) ); I can add to the table OK, and in Flame Robin it shows the timestamp field as having a millisecond value. But when I do a select all (select * from MYTABLE) on the table I can not get the millisecond value, as it is always returned as 000. This causes major problems as it is part of the primary key (unfortunately I didn't design the table and don't have authority to change it). I have tried the following to get the millisecond value: sql1.fieldbyname('MYDATE').AsDateTime; sql1.fieldbyname('MYDATE').AsSQLTimeStamp; sql1.fieldbyname('MYDATE').AsStirng; sql1.fieldbyname('MYDATE').AsFloat; But they all return 14/09/2009 14:25:06.000 when formatted. How do I retrieve the millisecond from a timestamp? UPDATE: In case this helps anyone in the future, here are the drivers I tried for DBExpress and the results. Embarcadero - dbExpress Driver for Firebird (Delphi 2010 Trial Version) - Milliseconds not supported in timestamps. Chau Chee Yang's - dbExpress Driver for Firebird (Delphi 2007) - Milliseconds not supported in timestamps. UpScene - InterXpress for Firebird (Delphi 2007) - Milliseconds are supported in timestamps. • Excel 2007 file writer in C# results in a corrupt file

  Hi, I am using a BinaryReader to read an Excel 2007 file from an Exchange mailbox using a OWA, the file is then written to disk using a BinaryWriter. My problem is that the two files don't match when the writer finishes. Worse still Excel 2007 won't open the writen file. Previously Excel 2003 has had no problem with the solution below. And Excel 2007 doesn't have an issue if the file is an Excel 2003 format file, only if the file format is Excel 2007 (*.xlsx). • PowerShell Script To Find Where SharePoint 2007 Features Are Activated

  I'm not really an Office Communications Server expert, but just trying to resolve some seemingly minor issues with a new install... The following error is occurring in the OCS event log, and when I try to visit https://servername:444/LiveServer/MCUFactory in Internet Explorer to test the address, I just get a "page cannot be displayed" error. I can telnet to port 444 on the server and verify that the port is open and listening. Any ideas? • Exchange 2007 ignoring Send Connectors (again)

  Wow, I'm at a loss here -- I posted this exact same question a while back and it's doing the exact same thing: my Send Connector I've created for "Microsoft Domains" (hotmail.com cost 1) is being ignored again and routed through the "Default" Send Connector (* cost 10). Last time, I had the same cost for both Send Connectors, but I've tried setting the Default connector to 5, 10, 100, etc. and regardless, all mail gets routed through that connector (which smarthosts through Postini). Besides calling an air strike on Redmond, what else can I do? MS is blocking Postini again, need to get this working permanently.

  I receive the following sync error in Outlook 2007 SP2: Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing. It is stopping me updating another user's calendar, which is open within my Outlook. Change are simply not syncing, either way. Is there a fix for this, e.g. increasing the number of permitted connections on the Exchange Server? We are using Exchange Server 2007 on a domain.

  In Office Word 2007, I want to use a Smart Art to create a hierarchical diagram for an organization. I want to use the one called "simple radial" (at least that's my word-to-word translation from German - it's the one with the circle in the middle and other circles around it, attached by lines). However, it seems to only support one level of depth (at least for circles). Everything else just becomes a bulleted list inside of the circle. Is there any way to accomplish this in Word 2007? Else: are there any other free tools to do this? I also want to add some other shapes. Again: I want to accomplish a star-like structure with a total of 4 depth levels. • Word 2007 "Out of Memory or Disk Space" Error on launch.

  Word 2007 is installed on a Vista Home Premium machine and whenever it starts up it opens what appears to be a dynamic installer to do something and then throws up the "Out of Memory or Disk Space" error. Word 2007 never completes starting up. Reinstalling Word hasn't helped and if I can avoid reinstalling Windows until Windows 7 is released and get Word working in the mean time, that would be ideal. I've been looking around for a solution, once of which seemed to point to a problem with the user account. I created a second user on the machine and Word still had the same problem. The other solution that seems possible is a corrupted normal.dot/normal.dotm file. However, even in the location it should be, I can't seem to find it. Am I going in the right direction with this? Is there another solution I haven't come across that will fix this? If it is possible that renaming normal.dot/normal.dotm how can I find it?

  I have a Word 2007 document in which the Figure numbers and List of Figures is correct i.e. exactly as I want. I generate a pdf (Adobe Reader X, Version 10.1.2) from Word 2007 document using the save as option. The List of Figures in the pdf document comes out exactly as present in the Word document, however when I click on that Figure number I see a different number than present in List of Figures. For example, I have this Figure number on List of Figures which is exactly as I want: But the corresponding Figure on Page 61 shows following number: It is becoming 4-21 from 4-7 because the total number of Figures from Chapters 1 till this Figure are 20. However, I want break in number of Figures between each Chapter i.e. Figures for Chapter 4 should start from 4-1, so the number 4-21 is actually 4-7 in that case. How can I correct this? Thanks.

• MS-Access 2007 Runtime SendObject Crash

  I have programmed an Access Database program using Access 2007. I have a button that points to the event: DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport to have it email a PDF report (acFormatPDF). Everything works fine in the normal Access 2007 program, but when a user opens the program with Access 2007 Runtime, when clicking on this button it goes through the normal steps (notifying Outlook, waiting for Allow/Deny clearance), and then after you click Allow, the program crashes with a Runtime Error. Does anybody know what is going on here? Is this a normal error with Access Runtime? I have tried other file formats (RTF and XLS) instead of PDF, but it seems to be the SendObject command that is crashing the Runtime Environment? Clarification: Access Runtime does not output an error code upon this crash. Just a window stating a "runtime error has occurred".
