  How do I get started developing a Premiere Pro plugin? I have Premiere Pro CS3 and a working knowledge of VB.NET. (I have experience with a number of other languages that I can use to get around if need be.) Is there an SDK that I'm looking for? Do I need to contact Adobe to join a developer program of sorts?   I 've developed an eclipse plugin and in that I have a java file trying to read directories and then populate result accordingly. When I try to run the file from eclipse itself through RunJava application , it gives me proper result but as soon as I try to run the same through Eclipse Application, it is throwing NullPointerException because unable to find the directory. I tried the following ways- Suppose , I have a package as - Package - com.test.abhishek.file.java.TestWork.java Directories - com.test.abhishek.file.java.Dir1 com.test.abhishek.file.java.Dir2 Now in TestWork.java- InputStream is = LGHelpContentView.class.getResourceAsStream("/"+dirName);** The above line is getting failed. How should I keep my directory and where so that it will run as an eclipse plug-in as well.

• Eclipse plugin: content assist working in Galileo, not Ganymede

  Hi, I am writing a custom editor in a plugin, and I developed it in Galileo. Now I'm trying to run it in Ganymede, but content assist doesn't work. There is no error, just nothing happens when I type "ctrl+space". The way I'm doing it is by providing a custom Configuration class that extends SourceViewerConfiguration, overriding public IContentAssistant getContentAssistant(ISourceViewer sourceViewer). The method gets called when the editor is created but there is no content assist. Was there any change from Ganymede to Galileo that I should be aware of?

  I want to specify a custom icon for a makrer. Sadly, the icon that I chose is not displayed. • Problem installing Maven plugin (m2eclipse) in Eclipse (Galileo)

  I have Eclipse Galileo (for Java EE Developers) installed, and I'm now trying to get the m2eclipse Maven plugin installed as well. I follow the basic steps described at http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/installing-m2eclipse.html, and it seems to be installing just fine. However, after restarting Eclipse after the install it doesn't seem to be anywhere. I should for instance have the ability to create a new maven project, but when the new-project wizard opens, there is no folder for Maven (I also cannot find any reference to it in the context menus of the existing projects I have). When I click at Help About Eclipse Installation Details, I find "Maven Integration for Eclipse (Required)" in the tab "Installed Software", yet another thing pointing towards a successful installation (but I can't find it under the "Plug-ins" tab, should it be there too?)... I feel like I'm just missing something very obvious, but right now I just don't see it...

• Looking for Eclipse plugin: Lock source tabs in place

  When working with java code in Eclipse I can typically juggle between 20-40 different files, but there usually are just two that I actively work with at the time (test and code). Going back to the code where I want to work after having debugged through 5-10 classes can be a pain. So what I would like to do is to be able to right click on the tab of a class and choose to lock them in place. The classes would then always be available as the first and second tabs furthest to the left in the editor. All other classes (and other files opened in the editor) would then fight over the remaining space in the editor like today. Is there a plugin like this? My google-fu might not be strong enough, cause I find nothing.

  I just found out about BuddyPress (a collection of plugins that convert a WordPress MU install into a social network) and now I was wondering if there are any Digg-like voting plugins for WordPress. This would eventually integrate into a BuddyPress website, where the site members would submit, vote and comment on stories (much like Digg). I have a feeling I will end up having to build this from scratch, but since the site will be built on WordPress, I was wondering if there were any plugins already available that add this functionality. So far I have come up empty in my search. I did find a Wordpress blog that had this functionality WpVote. It even creates thumbnails of the story webpage automatically (I'm assuming) using websnapr. I browsed through the page source and didn't seem to find any hints of a WP plugin that they are using.

  Hi, I got this plugin and have created my list etc and it's appearing fine. However, I am wondering how I create a list under another list...like the second level part of the list? I'm trying to create a dropdown menu you see. In the admin, when I try and drag the item over, it will only let me put it in the first level, how do I get it to go under a sub-item? I would consult the NAVT blog etc but the documentation is so poor it's a kind of joke. But I guess it IS free :) Many thanks, Michael

I want to be able to capture the Phone Number (Web Browser, Word and Outlook for starts) and change it to present a link that the user can click to search that Phone Number in the CRM Application, given him the ability to open that client profile or make a call (we have a PBX Dial software).   I have created a c# 2.0 WinForm application which loads dlls, searches for an interface, and then loads the interface as a plugin. I am loading the plugins in the same appdomain as the main application because they have a GUI which I am directly loading into the application as a tab item. I would like to load them in their own app domain, but do not think it is possible because of the GUI. I would also like to monitor them to tell if they are not responsive and unload them. Is this possible? If I upgrade to WPF are things any simpler.

  I have a site in development here: http://bit.ly/diWSgT Scenario: My custom script looks at the viewport size and if the menu and logo are not in view, animates them up into view (just re-size your browser window to test if you like). That works fine. I also have the every wonderful jQuery cycle plugin in use via WP-Cycle for Wordpress. The problem: As you can see by checking out the site, using my slide up/down button buggers with the cycle function, particularly when you click the button while on the second image. Any thoughts as to why this is happening would be great. Thanks.

• maven tomcat plugin with mysql driver in $catalina_home/lib

  Hi everybody, i am trying to use a container managed datasource (via context.xml) in tomcat. The corresponding jar file needs to go in $catalina_home/lib, otherwise tomcat can't find it. (not in webapp/WEB-INF/lib, because it is managed by the webserver, not by the application itself) the problem is: I am using maven with the maven-tomcat-plugin, so I don't have a $catalina_home (everything is distributed in my .m2 -repository). So the question is: how can I add the mysql driver jar to the classpath of the tomcat server (mvn tomcat:run)? thanks a lot, gerolf.

• Deny http access to a directory, allow access from WordPress plugin

  Hey. I need to prevent direct access to http://www.site.com/wp-content/uploads/folder/something.pdf through the browser. However the Download Monitor plugin I am using, which allows logged in users to download the file, needs to be able to work. Trying Order Allow,Deny Deny from all Allow from all but the download links do not now work... even though (I think) they are links produced by the script e.g. http://www.site.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=something.pdf Enter that in the address bar and you correctly get a WordPress message, 'You must be logged in to download this file.' However, if someone knows the URL where the file was uploaded http://www.site.com/wp-content/uploads/folder/something.pdf they can still access it directly. I don't know how (guesswork?) they would find the direct URL anyway, but the client wants it stopped! Thanks for any help.

Tweets that have some #hashstag for example only tweets with hashtag #myss would show up on my wordpress site. Is there ready made plugin for this?   I am about to embark on my first outlook 2007 plugin. I would like to create a new tool bar that will have a button that will initially be disabled. When the user selects a message the button should be enabled... but only if the email is of a certain type of email... This is where I need your expert advice, is there a way to quickly flag an email in outlook, so that in the email select event you can look for a property of that email... for example... on_select if mail.type = "FromISP" then I would prefer not to use the from field.... the other thing is during the send process I need to set the flag, I am doing this again using .net so I have full control over how the mail is created. So... i've got an image gallery with thumbs, and everything goes well.. except... when i click on the first image... it shows - ok, but i can go to the next image by clicking "next". It's loading all the time. When i choose second image... everything is allright, and i can skip to the next images... but i also cannot go back to the first one.

• mod_mono 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' issue

  I've deployed an ASP.NET web application on a Linux (Debian) server running Apache 2.2 and mod_mono 1.9 It's working well, however Mono occasionally segfaults and uses the entire CPU which causes the website to stop working and display 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' Killing mono fixes it, but obviously this isn't a good solution. • Android Plugin in Eclipse 3.5 on Ubuntu 64bit got problems with properties

  Hi there! I got a huge problem with the Android Development Tools ADT running in Eclipse Galileo (3.5.1) on Ubuntu 9.10, 64bit. On this platform, I do not manage to see any property edit dialogs for layout properties. E.g. the one where you can select a string resource ID for text fields, or a drawable ID for image fields or backgrounds. Whenever I click on the ... button next to the property value - nothing happens, except this button disappears. Properties with a list of possible values, e.g. "wrap_content" or "fill_parent" are displayed in a dropdown box directly in the properties field. On a different system I work in a Windows environment with Eclipse 3.4 and the same ADT: no problems whatsoever, everything works fine, the dialogs come perfectly. Does anyone know what to do here? Where's the problem? Why does Eclipse not tell me that something goes wrong? Thanks! NEW DISCOVERIES: I found out that it might not even be an Android problem, but a general Eclipse problem that I can see with all version (Ganymede, Galileo, Helios) on my Linux (Ubuntu) system. It must be a simple UI problem: the button with ... next to the values does not receive the mouse click!! I managed to see the appropriate dialogs to edit the property values by doubleclicking the button - crazy, strange, ugly behavior! But why on earth does nobody else know about this problem - I cannot find anything else on the net about it! Could it be related to this strange "GDK native window problem" on Gnome? HELP!

By default, OS instances have three monitoring rules associated with file systems: File System Reachability: Triggers an incident if a file system is not reachable NAS Library Status: Triggers an incident for a value of "WARNING" or "DEGRADED" for a NAS-based file system File System Used Space Percentage: Triggers an incident when file system utilization grows beyond defined thresholds You can view these rules in the Monitoring tab for an OS: Of course, the default monitoring rules is that they apply to every file system associated with an OS instance. As a result, any issue with NAS accessibility or disk utilization will trigger an incident. This can cause incidents for file systems to be reported multiple times if the same shared storage is used by many assets, as shown in this screen shot: Depending on the level of control you'd like, there are a number of ways to fine tune incident reporting. Note that any changes to an asset's monitoring policy will detach it from the default, creating a new monitoring policy for the asset. If you'd like, you can extract a monitoring policy from an asset, which allows you to save it and apply the customized monitoring profile to other OS assets. Solution #1: Modify the Reporting Thresholds In some cases, you may want to modify the basic conditions for incident reporting in your file system. The changes you make to a default monitoring rule will apply to all of the file systems associated with your operating system. Selecting the File Systems Used Space Percentage entry and clicking the "Edit Alert Monitoring Rule Parameters" button opens a pop-up dialog which allows you to modify the rule. The first screen lets you decide when you will check for file system usage, and how long you will wait before opening an incident in Ops Center. By default, Ops Center monitors continuously and reports disk utilization issues which exist for more than 15 minutes. The second screen lets you define actual threshold values. By default, Ops Center opens a Warning level incident is utilization rises above 80%, and a Critical level incident for utilization above 95% Solution #2: Disable Incident Reporting for File System If you'd rather not report file system incidents, you can disable the monitoring rules altogether. In this case, you can select the monitoring rules and click the "Disable Alert Monitoring Rule(s)" button to open the pop-up confirmation dialog. Like the first solution, this option affects all file system monitoring. It allows you to completely disable incident reporting for NAS library status or file system space consumption. Solution #3: Create New Monitoring Rules for Specific File Systems If you'd like to have the greatest flexibility when monitoring file systems, you can create entirely new rules. Clicking the "Add Alert Monitoring Rule" (the icon with the green plus sign) opens a wizard which allows you to define a new rule.  This rule will be based on a threshold, and will be used to monitor operating system assets. We'd like to add a rule to track disk utilization for a specific file system - the /nfs-guest directory. To do this, we specify the following attribute FileSystemUsages.name=/nfs-guest.usedSpacePercentage The value of name in the attribute allows us to define a specific NFS shared directory or file system... in the case of this OS, we could have chosen any of the values shown in the File Systems Utilization chart at the beginning of this article. usedSpacePercentage lets us define a threshold based on the percentage of total disk space used. There are a number of other values that we could use for threshold-based monitoring of FileSystemUsages, including freeSpace freeSpacePercentage totalSpace usedSpace usedSpacePercentage The final sections of the screen allow us to determine when to monitor for disk usage, and how long to wait after utilization reaches a threshold before creating an incident. The next screen lets us define the threshold values and severity levels for the monitoring rule: If historical data is available, Ops Center will display it in the screen. Clicking the Apply button will create the new monitoring rule and active it in your monitoring policy. If you combine this with one of the previous solutions, you can precisely define which file systems will generate incidents and notifications. For example, this monitoring policy has the default "File System Used Space Percentage" rule disabled, but the new rule reports ONLY on utilization for the /nfs-guest directory. • Loading any MVC page fails with the error "An item with the same key has already been added."

  I am having an intermittent issue that is appearing on one server only, and is causing all MVC pages to fail to load with the error "An item with the same key has already been added." Restarting the application pool fixes the issue, but until then, loading any mvc page throws the following exception: Event code: 3005 Event message: An unhandled exception has occurred. Custom event details: As mentioned, it's every MVC action that throws this error until the app pool is restarted, and the error seems to be occurring in
