• Persistence of texture parameters

  I use glBindTexture() to bind a previously created texture. After the glBindTexture() call I use glTexParameteri() to set MIN and MAG filter. No problem so far. Are those parameters I set using glTexParameteri() bound to the texture itself or are they lost if I bind another texture. • png image blurry when loaded onto texture

  I have created a png image in photoshop with transparencies that I have loaded into and OpenGL program. I have binded it to a texture and in the program the picture looks blurry and I'm not sure why. • Problems applying texture to a triangle strip using glTexCoordPointer

  Hi, I'm writing a pretty simple piece of code which should draw a plane. The plane must have two different textures on its sides, like if it was a book page. I'm trying to achieve this by doing this: glFrontFace(GL_CCW); glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, textures[kActiveSideLeft]); glVertexPointer(3, GL_FLOAT, 0, vertexCoordinates); glTexCoordPointer(2, GL_FLOAT, 0, textureCoordinates); glDrawArrays(GL_TRIANGLE_STRIP, 0, (2 * kHorizontalSegmentsCount + 4) * kVerticalSegmentsCount); glFrontFace(GL_CW); glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, textures[kActiveSideRight]); glVertexPointer(3, GL_FLOAT, 0, vertexCoordinates); glTexCoordPointer(2, GL_FLOAT, 0, textureCoordinates); glDrawArrays(GL_TRIANGLE_STRIP, 0, (2 * kHorizontalSegmentsCount + 4) * kVerticalSegmentsCount); textures[] array contains 2 GLuint textures which specify appropriate textures. vertexCoordinates and textureCoordinates contain vertexes and texture coordinates respectively ((2 * kHorizontalSegmentsCount + 4) * kVerticalSegmentsCount) equals 15 and that's exactly how many elements I have in the arrays I set up opengl like this: glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); glClearDepthf(1.0f); glDepthFunc(GL_LEQUAL); glClearColor(0.0, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0); glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); glEnable(GL_CULL_FACE); glCullFace(GL_BACK); glEnableClientState(GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); glEnableClientState(GL_TEXTURE_COORD_ARRAY); glDisableClientState(GL_NORMAL_ARRAY); glDisableClientState(GL_COLOR_ARRAY); glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); What happens is when I run it front side of the plane looks Ok, but it appears like if texture coordinates weren't applied to the back side. It appears like texture on the back side is just tiled and not connected to vertexes by any means. Any idea what am I doing wrong? Or any idea about what can I do to debug this problem? Thanks.

• A class meant for an alfresco behavior and its bean, how do they work and how are they deployed trough eclipse

  (This is a partial repost of a question asked 10 days ago because only 1 part was answered(not included), I've rewritten it into a way better question and added 3 more tags) where do I put the DeleteAsset.class or why isn't it being found? I've put the compiled class from the bin of the workspace of eclipse into alfresco-4.2.c/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/com/openerp/behavior/ and right now it's giving me Error loading class [com.openerp.behavior.DeleteAsset] for bean with name 'deletionBehavior' defined in URL [file:/home/openerp/alfresco-4.2.c/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/cust??om-web-context.xml]: problem with class file or dependent class; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/openerp/behavior/DeleteAsset (wrong name: DeleteAsset) when I put it in there.   I am trying to get my head around Texture mapping, I thought I had it the other day after asking this. However, I am having some trouble with my texture coordinates being flipped from what I am expecting.   I have a HTML button. I have tried to render a tooltip on it based on the "title" attribute of the button and it doesn't render. Mainly because it's disabled. I then tried wrapping the button in a span and setting the "title" attribute of the span. Hovering over the button that is wrapped in the span still has no effect. The tooltip will render on any other part of the span that is not part of the button tag. Like if i put some text in the span as well as the button, hovering over the text produces the tooltip, but if you hover over the button it will not render. So: how can I display a tooltip for a disabled button?

Thus, I have no need for a respond_to block, I literally just render :xml => @model I can't however figure out how to render a 404 header using this. I've had to resort to respond_to, which I think adds a few unnecessary method calls.   I have a Rails 2.3.5 application and Im trying to render several Partials from within a Model (i know, i know -- im not supposed to). The reason im doing this is im integrating a Comet server (APE) into my Rails app and need to push updates out based on the Model's events (ex. after_create). I have tried doing this: ActionView::Base.new(Rails::Configuration.new.view_path).render(:partial => "pages/show", :locals => {:page => self}) Which allows me to render simple partials that don't user helpers, however if I try to user a link_to in my partial, i receive an error stating: undefined method `url_for' for nil:NilClass I've made sure that the object being passed into the "project_path(project)" is not nil. I've also tried including: include ActionView::Helpers::UrlHelper include ActionController::UrlWriter in the Module that contains the method that makes the above "render" call. Does anyone know how to work around this? Thanks

  When I render XML with an :include clause for a polymorphic association I have, it doesn't work. I end up with the XML returning the object pointers instead of the actual objects, like: <posts> #<Comment:0x102ed1540>#<Comment:0x102ecaa38>#<Comment:0x102ec7fe0>#<Comment:0x102ec3cd8> </posts> Yet as_json works! When I render JSON with :include clause, the associations are rendered correctly and I get something like: posts":[ {"type":"Comment","created_at":"2010-04-20T23:02:30-07:00","id":7,"content":"fourth comment"}, {"type":"Comment","created_at":"2010-04-20T23:02:26-07:00","id":6,"content":"third comment"}] My current workaround is using XML builder, but I'm not too comfortable with that in the long run. Does anyone happen to know about this issue? I'm kind of in a catch-22 because while XML doesn't render the associations, as_json doesn't render in a kosher json format (returns an array rather than a list of hashes as proper json should) and the deserializer I'm using on the client side would require modification to parse the json correctly.

  Maybe my logic is not restful or know if this is how you would do it but this is what I am trying to do. I'm getting a category inside a category controller and then once I get that category I want to return to an index page in a different controller but keep that @category and the Category.busineses. Before rest I would have just done this: render :controller = "businesses" and it would have rendered the view of the index action in that controller. now in my respond_to block I have this format.html {redirect_to(business_path)} # index.html.erb format.xml { render :xml => @businesses } but of course with a render it looses the instance variable and starts with a new action. So what I want to do is render the action instead of redirecting to that action. is this possible?

  I've been trying to figure out how to parse textures in directx for two reasons: to write my own texture format and to manipulate data in existing IDirect3DTexture9 type textures. I've been looking at the IDirect3DTexture9::LockRect() function but I'm unsure how it works, are the void* pBits I get out of it in D3DLOCKED_RECT the data in the texture? Does that mean I can read it in by converting it to D3DXCOLOR or something? Really not sure where to go, any help would be appreciated!

The problem is when i submit this form to the same url that the view render the template, i have to re render the template with previusly data and then show the errors (if they are) in the form with the new renderd data, so i have to re render all the time the previusly information. I've view a lot of examples, but ALL examples have the form in an externar html(separated) How can avoid this ?

  I want a UILabel to render a partial character by setting the lineBreakMode to clip. But it is clipping the entire character. Is there a different way to clip a word so that only partial character is displayed? Lets say I have a string like: "Hello Word" and that string is in a myLabel with a width that only fits the 5 characters and part of the "W" I want it still to render part of the "W" and not drop it from the render.

  Lets assume the following code within a controller: $this->view->addScriptPath('dir1/views/scripts'); $this->view->addScriptPath('dir2/views/scripts'); $this->render('index.phtml'); Where dir1/views/scripts contains 2 files: -index.phtml -table.phtml And dir2/views/scripts: -table.phtml Now, it will render the index.phtml in dir1 since dir 2 doesn't have an index.phtml. Index.phtml looks something like: <somehtml> <?= $this->render('table.phtml') ?> </somehtml> This is where the confusion starts for me. I would expect it to render the table.phtml in the last directory added to the script path stack, but it doesn't. Is there a simple solution/explanation to my problem?

  On my registration form i want to show a modal (of twitter-bootstrap) when the user has a successfull signup to tell him to check his email so i put "remote: true" on my form and render a .js.erb wich shows the modal, on my controller. BUT, in case of inputs errors i need to render the page as html to refresh de form showing those errors. Can I call the controller from the remote form as JS but render as html? (or any other idea to do what i want) Thanks!

  I'm trying to render a component from withing another component. public override void Render() // ... var block = new Block(); block.Init(EngineContext, Context); block.Render(); // ... } The problem is that Block component can't find it's template. ResourceProcessingException Message: Unable to process resource 'components\CustomReportComponentComponent\default.vm': Resource could not be located I guess, other problems can arise because the component is not properly initialized. Is it possible to initialize a component from within another component's Render method, so it renders just as if called from a .vm?

  I use System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.Tier to show the current render mode within a diagnostics panel of my app. If I force the app (3.5sp1) to change the render-mode through the following code HwndSource hwndSource = PresentationSource.FromVisual(visual) as System.Windows.Interop.HwndSource; HwndTarget hwndTarget = hwndSource.CompositionTarget; hwndTarget.RenderMode = renderMode; neither System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.TierChanged fires, nor has the System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.Tier property changed. However the changes are applied to the app. If I look with Perforator, the render mode has been changed to the desired mode. Although I’ve found at many locations that System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability.Tier can be used to detect the current render state (also msdn, see this), it seems, System.Windows.Media.RenderCapability only gives information about the capabilities and not about the current mode. That makes also sense if I look at the name of the class. Is there another source to know how an actual wpf-content is rendered or am I doing something wrong?

• Render a 3D image as a 2D vector image

  Is there any software that will take a 3d model (in any format) and allow you to render it as a 2D vector image (preferable as either an .SVG or .PDF)? My intention is to render LEGO building instructions this way. While there are many tools that let you view them or generate nice, rasterized output, I'd really like to be able to generate vectorized output. Textures are not needed, and hidden line removal may not be needed. I could use a tool that works on any platform (although my preference is OS X, Linux, then Windows). Open source is preferred. If no one knows of a tool that does this, does anyone have a good recommendation of something to hack on and add a feature to output via Cairo?
