• Google appEngine: 404 when accesing /_ah/api

  I try to build a very simple GAE application, using eclipse and the Google Plugin for Eclipse. I've generated some Endpoint from an @Entity class, then I've generated Cloud Endpoint Client library. After that I've started the appEngine project (within eclipse, on the embedded jetty server). When I try to access /_ah/api I get the following issue: HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /_ah/api/. • Redirecting the response from a filter throws an IllegalStateException

  I am writing a filter that will handle all authentication related tasks. How do I acheive this in a filter. I read in other SO threads that in TOmcat this is a problem as the response object is already commited. How do I get past this ?

  I have a 3rd-party servlet that I cannot modify. It accepts an init-param that I would like to externalize (from web.xml). I can externalize a servlet filter init-param using DelegatingFilterProxy. This effectively moves the servlet filter definition into Spring where there are much more powerful externalization tools (eg: PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer, environment variables, etc.) How can I do this for a servlet?

• Liferay hook: filter url giving filterstart error and current url generates exception null

  I'm trying to make an autologinfilter in Eclipse using a liferay hook. Now I've added the: <filter> <filter-name>myautologinfilter</filter-name> <filter-class>bla.bla.xyz</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>myautologinfilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/c/login/myurl</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> To the liferay hook's web.xml. In the liferay-hook.xml I added: portal.properties And in that hook.xml I added: auto.login.hooks=bla.bla.xyz bla.bla.xyz implements AutoLogin, but for now it's pretty gutted: @Override public String[] login(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws AutoLoginException { Object parameters = request.getAttribute("javax.servlet.forward.query_string"); Map<String, String> x = parserClass.parsing(parameters.toString()); System.out.println("voornaam: " + geparsdeParameters.get("tokenvalue1")); try { return null; } catch (Exception e) { throw new AutoLoginException(e); } } Since the hook doesn't start when I add the filtering I removed it and just tried: http://localhost:8080/c/portal/login?tokenvalue1=55 but when I check my tomcat I see: Error XYZ Url: url myUsedUrl exception null Also I tried adding some util classes but I got: classnotfoundexceptions. Is there anything specific I have to do when I add extra classes in a hook? Any advice/input would be appreciated. Or someone's ear I could lend so I could mail them a little bit so I could pick their brain a bit would be really appreciated since I don't know anyone who programs for liferay.

  I get the exception: "URI scheme is not file" The url I am playing with is ... and it very much is a file http://local.wasp.uwa.edu.au/~pbourke/miscellaneous/domefisheye/ladybug/fish4.jpg What I am doing is trying to get the name of a file and then save that file (from another server) onto my computer/server from within a servlet. If it was a .war, I could initialize it with a WebAppContext and specify a web.xml file where I'd have my filter declaration like this <filter> <filter-name>myFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>MyFilterClass</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>myFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> However, I'm using a simple Context to initialize my application with Spring. • OSB/OSR/OER in One Domain - QName violates loader constraints

  For demos, testing and prototyping, I wanted a single domain which contained three servers:OSB - Oracle Service BusOSR - Oracle Service RegistryOER - Oracle Enterprise Repository These three can work together to help with service governance in an enterprise.  When building out the domain, I found errors in the OSR server due to some conflicting classes from the OSB.  This wouldn't be an issue if each server was given a unique classpath setting with the node manager, but I was having the node manager use the standard startup scripts. • EventDispatcher between an as and an fla?

  Hi everyone. I am making a fighting game in Flash and while I have everything running, I am missing something: a victory/loss screen. Logically, I know how to do it: if character.hp < 0 { character.dead = true; dispatchevent("death", event) } My problem is that I have no idea as to how to code it. I know I will use two classes and my two .fla files (unless I am wrong). I have two .fla files that are in play here: the Menu.fla file and the Arena.fla file. Menu.fla contains the entire navigation of the game, options, character selection screens, etc. and when it is time for the player to engage in battle, it loads the Arena.fla file, which contains only the backgrounds (depending on the selected stage) and for now is set to a length of one frame only. For Arena.fla, the real action happens in my classes, but logically, I would only need HP.as and Character.as. In Character.as, I have declared the following variable: var isDead:Boolean = false; //is character dead? In HP.as, believe I should have the following: if(currentHp<0) { currentHp = 0; character.isDead = true; //declared as var `character:Object;` EventDispatcher.dispatchEventListener("playerDead", playerDead); } And finally, in Arena.fla, I want to be able to detect the above-mentioned eventlistener and simply move on to a second frame which will display a message in the style of "PLAYER ONE HAS WON" or "PLAYER ONE HAS LOST" with a button that will allow me to go back to the character selection screen. This is the first part in which I am stuck: how do I detect the dispatched event listener in my main .fla file? Secondly, if the player clicks on the "CONTINUE" button, which displays regardless if the player has won or lost, how can my Menu.fla (which loads the Arena.swf) detect this click event, unload the game, and go back to the character selection screen?   Hello, I've been looking into custom event (listeners) for quite some time, but never succeeded in making one. There are so many different mehods, extending the Event class, but also Extending the EventDispatcher class, very confusing! • How can I map a spring controller to a url with .jsp extension?

  Hi. We are in the process of migrating a jsp-only application to Spring-MVC. For various reasons we can't change the extension of the current pages. (calls to login.jsp need to handled by a spring controller that will use a jsp file as view). We are doing this iteratively, so some pages need to stay jsp files (calls to welcome.jsp won't be handled by a controller). To do that I mapped both the DispatcherDervlet and the HandlerMapping to *.jsp, and configured the JstlView in the standard way.   I always get a remote connection time out when using PuTTy and also when i send emails with attachments from a mail sever installed on Debian. I always get this error. I'm not sure if this is firewall or the new Debian 5 installation which i made. Is there any settings i need to fix after fresh install. Any inputs are highly appreciated. • Servlet stops working on Tomcat server after some hits or time

  I have a very strange issue with some of my servlets. Below is my configuration: Folder A has X number of servlets deployed in Tomcat directory Folder B has Y number of servlets deployed in Tomcat directory After certain amount of time or hits to any of the servlets in Folder B, it stops working properly, whereas at same time all servlets of Folder A works fine. I am not able to trace where I am doing mistake. All coding for both folder's servlets is the same, the only difference is they are interacting with different DB's, but it is very simple read only operation with DB though. Any ideas?

  Hi guys, I'm unhappy from GAE because - One can't have a global variable and the 'synchronize' keyword. Instead one have to catch a basically DB transcational exception and retry in a while loop - which will eat all my free CPU time and will start costing me money as I reach the google's qouata. Is it safe to use synchronize inside a doPost() in tomcat? (i guess that it's ok as long as all the servlets are running on on 1 VM?). If not in all tomcat configurations, how do I configure tomcat to make it safe? How can I convert a GAE app to my own tomcat server? - How to install DataNucleus Access Platform on tomcat?
