  • SQL Server Reporting Services - website blank, builder works

    We have a few reports in SQL Server Reporting Services. For some reason when we run the report from the website, it doesn't return any data. When I run the same report from the Report Builder, it returns data. I looked in the logs and the only errors I could find is: ReportingServicesService!library!8!6/15/2012-08:12:33:: i INFO: Current DB Version Unknown, Instance Version C.0.8.54.   • ActionScript 3 and camelcase package name

    I'm using Flash Builder 4 to build my AIR application. For a certain reason, I need to declare my package name in camelcase, and class names in lowercase: //test.as package Core { public class test { } } The folder structure is like this (the dir 'Core' matches the package name): src/ Core/ test.as However, Flash Builder shows error and it doesn't compile at all, only when I put the package name as 'core' then it compiles. Does AS3 syntax allow uppercase letters in package name? Or just because Flash Builder implicitly disallows this?

    I am using Flex builder 3, BlazeDS, and Java with Spring and Hibernate framework. I using the remote object to load a string from spring's configuration files. But it looks good. Some people have talked about this problem around the Internet and I think you can help me and them.   • Saving Interface Builder Changes when building in Xcode

    I know many of you have experienced the same the scenario, where you are banging your head against the wall wondering what is wrong with your app only to find that you have forgotten to save your Interface Builder changes. Well, this never happens to me, because for some reason Xcode will prompt me to save any changes in Interface Builder whenever I build. A coworker and I are trying to figure out how to change this on his machine, with no success. I must have done something in the very early stages of my iphone development life to configure this. Does anyone know how to link IB with Xcode so that it will prompt to save changes to IB files during a build?

  • pass form builder in remote_function in rails ?

    hi all i have select box where on change i need to grab the value and via remote function get some field names from db and then generate those field further down the form depwning on whatoption from the select box is chosen. The problem is is that the fields are in a f.form_for so are using the formbuilder f that has the select box in. So when i render the partial via ajax in the controller i get an error as i dont have a reference to the local form builder f. does anyone know how or if i can get reference to the form builder orif can pass it in a remote function call and then pass into my locals in the partial ? thanks alot, any help will be great as been stuck on this a long time! cheers rick

  • Report Builder Error (Input string was not in a correct format) when filtering data

    Issue: the user is getting an error “The requested list could not be retrieved because the query is not valid or a connection could not be made to the data source.” while trying to filter a reporting using Report Builder 2.0. When you expand the details the message is “Input string was not in a correct format” I verified that when the user clicks to see the filter values the query is being sent to the underlying database (by using profiler). When I build the same report [I'm a server admin] I have no issues and see all the filtered values, which leads me to believe this is a permissions issue. I believe I granted all the correct permissions, see below: Report Server Setup [Project Name] Data Sources Models […other folders] We are using SQL Server 2005.   • Flash Builder keeps losing my imported classes...arghh

    I've been having this really annoying thing happen the past few days, that has happened before but not as frequently. I create a project in Flash Builder, import some classes, and then on occasion it keeps erasing those classes. So then I get errors in a lot of my datatypes, have to go back through my document and retype the datatype so that it reimports the class. What could be causing this? I know flash builder can be a bit buggy at times, but wasn't sure if someone else has had this problem and knows what might be causing it.

  • Flex builder stopped generating the module swf in the output folder

    Flex Builder suddenly stopped generating the swf of the modules in the output folder, the project properties is set to build automatically and all the modules are listed under Flex Modules in the project properties. I didn't change any configuration, I was working on a project and modifying modules and the swf files in the output folder where getting updated until suddenly I noticed that any modifications in the modules where not reflected when I run the application so I checked the swf files of the modules in the output folder I found that they don't get regenerated when the module is modified. I tried restarting the flex builder but nothing changed.

So my question is that do i need to delete all the windows in this builder manually when i delete this builder or all the windows will get destroyed when i delete builder pointer. Thanks, PP.

  • Flash Builder 'building' html files...

    I'm using Flash Builder 3 to edit my Flex app, but I noticed that every time I make a change on the .html files (index.template.html for example), even if it's not in the IDE but with another program, Flash Builder rebuilds the whole project. Is there anyway to stop this? Why would it need to rebuild the workspace everytime a html file changes? If it was too long it wouldn't bother me, but it takes a lot of time (more than 1 minute) every time. For your information the html file is 95 lines of 'code'. Thanks

    I have written an Adobe Air desktop application that tracks a bunch of websites and displays images from the websites in the app. And instead of keeping my mouth shut about it and making it look like an attack on the website, I'd like to make it so that the webmasters can see that these pageviews are made by my application. Is there any way the webmaster could distinguish adobe air access of the website from normal visitor browsing? Perhaps by adding something to the URLrequests I make in the application..?

  • minimum required bandwidth for remote database server

    I want to build a small warehousing application for my company. We have a central warehouse which distributes to 8 sales points across the country. They insist on an in-house solution. I am thinking to setup a central mySQL db Linux server and have the branches connect to it to store sales. Queries to the db from the branches will be minimum, maybe 10 per hour. However I need all the branches to be able to store each sale data ( product ID, customer ID ) in the central db at peak time at most once every five minutes. My question is can I get away with simple 24mbps/768kbps DSL lines? If not what is the bandwith requirement? Can I rely on a load balancing router to combine additional lines if needed? Can you propose some server hardware specs?
