  • Logoff User when browser tab page is closed, ASP.NET MVC

    In one of the ASP.NET MVC apps we would like to logoff the user automatically if he closes the browser tab in which the app is opened. We are using the following code when he authenticates. FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(userName, false) As of now, if we closes the browser window and relaunch it, users are asked to authenticate again. But we want to ask users to authenticate again if they close the tab and try to access any of the website urls.

  • Dynamically add new HTML elements on page load after getting JSON data from Web API

    I'm building an hybrid Android App using Phonegap/Apache Cordova. My app should get data from my web api. I'm using JSON to serve the data to the APP. So i got a the following code: function init() { document.addEventListener('deviceready', onDeviceReady, false); var url = "http://23.21.128.153:3000/regions.json";var jsonresults; $.getJSON(url,function(data){ jsonresults = data; $.each(jsonresults, function(i,v){ $('#main-content').append('<li>'+jsonresults[i].name+'</li>'); }); }); } and also on the body of the html i have a div called main-content. Everythings works fine in the Eclipse browser, but on the Android Emulator is not working.   • Letting a new PHP page know a new POST value is an Array?

    I have a page that creates an associative array, then passes it as a hidden value to a new PHP page. I have a foreach loop waiting to iterate through it but it coughs up an "invalid argument" error, as if the page doesn't know the value it's working with is an array (Despite "print" showing simply "Array"). This is essentially what I have: //Hidden input to be passed to the next page print "<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"price_list\" value=\"$item_list\"> //Code on the second page for the foreach loop extract($_POST); foreach($price_list as $name=>$price) { ... } But I am simply given "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/cut/mg299/public_html/PHP/invoice.php on line 17". The array works fine, as I can iterate on the previous page, and other values are parsed fine to this second page. Do I need to 'reinitialise' this array value?

    Hi, I am using a class which implements Filter for my jsp stuff. It looks like this: public class MyFilter implements Filter { public void doFilter(ServletRequest request, ServletResponse response, FilterChain chain) throws IOException, ServletException { request.getRequestDispatcher("mypage.jsp").forward(request, response); } } So the target, "mypage.jsp", is just sitting in my top-level directory. The filter works fine if I'm entering urls like: http://www.mysite.com/foo http://www.mysite.com/boo but if I enter a trailing slash, I'll get a 404: http://www.mysite.com/foo/ http://www.mysite.com/boo/ HTTP ERROR: 404 /foo/mypage.jsp RequestURI=/foo/mypage.jsp it seems if I enter the trailing slash, then the filter thinks I want it to look for mypage.jsp in subfolder foo or boo, but I really always want it to just find it at: http://www.mysite.com/mypage.jsp how can I do that? This code is part of myWebApp/WepPage1.aspx, yes both aspx pages are on the same webapp. What I want to accomplish is to get WebPage2.aspx html response, put it on an email and send it from WebPage1.aspx. I would really appreciate any tips.. Thanks!!!

But i want the id of the tabs be in the url. i.e when tab 2 is clicked, the URL should change to http://example.com/index.htm#tab-2 when tab 1 is clicked, the URL should change to http://example.com/index.htm#tab-1 How to do this ?

  • Pros / Cons displaying list of users at login page

    We seem to have a lot of clients asking us to change the login screen in this manner: Display a list of all available users (thumbnail picture + name) User selects a username from the list A password prompt appears near the username User enters password then presses enter This sounds remarcably similar to the Windows XP login, which is probably where they got the ideea in the first place. There are only about 4 - 5 different users that can login at any given station, so implementing that list on one screen is feasable. So I was wondering if there are any usability experts with some word on this method of login. As far as I can tell, MS droped this behaviour in Vista/Win7, didn't they?

    I'm working in an ASP.NET 3.5 MVC application where i've got a view with multiple forms in it. Form 1 contains information about products and will form a shoppingcart with a remove button. When i use the submit button on the second form everything seems to be submitted and the action in the controller for the first form is trying to handle the request. That is where the error occurce because the information in the viewmodel isn't corresponding to what is being expected.     Hi, I've been looking around the CherryPy documentation, but can't quite get my head around what I want to do. I suspect it might be more of a Python thing than a CherryPy thing...
