    - by ArneRie
    Hi, iam trying to write an unit test for an Controller wich calls the Twitter API through an Service class. /** * Authenticate Step 1 for Twitter */ public function authenticateAction() { $this->service->authenticate(); } The Service does: /** * Authenticate with twitter * * @return void */ public function authenticate() { $consumer = new Zend_Oauth_Consumer($this->config); $token = $consumer->getRequestToken(); $this->session->twitterRequestToken = serialize($token); $consumer->redirect(); exit; } My Problem is, i have no idea to repleace the authenticate action inside the service for the unit test. • MS Detours Library, detouring non win api function

    - by flavour404
    Hi, I want to use the windows detours library to detour a non win api function. The function is part of the Qt library (QtGui4.dll). I am wondering how I would set up the function signature for : void QPainter::drawText ( const QPointF & position, const QString & text ) I had a go with this and it received my usual share of errors, a little explanation of requirements would be interesting as well: void (QPainter * real_drawText)(const QPointF & position, const QString & text) = drawText This is what they look like for TextOut, under the windows API: BOOL (WINAPI * Real_TextOut)(HDC a0, int a1, int a2, LPCWSTR a3, int a4) = TextOutW; BOOL WINAPI Mine_TextOut(HDC hdc,int X,int Y,LPCWSTR text,int textLen) { BOOL rv = Real_TextOut(hdc, X, Y, text, textLen); HWND hWindow = WindowFromDC(hdc); SendTextMessage(hWindow, text); return rv; } Thanks.

  • Spring security oauth2 provider to secure non-spring api

    - by user1241320
    I'm trying to set up an oauth 2.0 provider that should "secure" our restful api using spring-security-oauth. Being a 'spring fan' i thought it could be the quicker solution. main point is this restful thingie is not a spring based webapp. boss says the oauth provider should be a separate application, but i'm starting to doubt that. (got this impression by reading spring-security-oauth) i'm also new here so haven't really got my hands into this other (jersey-powered) restul api (core of our business). any help/hint will be much appreciated.

  • Web Search API which allows automated queries

    - by Spi1988
    I need to develop a java desktop application which sends queries to a search engine in order to obtain the very first highest ranked pages (Example: the first 4 pages only). Some heavy processing needs to be performed on the retrieved pages, so the time between a query and another won't be less then a minute. I would like to know whether there is any web search API for java, suitable for my situation, i.e. which allows the use of automated queries? (since in my case, the queries are generated programatically, and not through user interaction) I have checked Google's AJAX Search API and also Yahoo's Search Boss, however they only allow queries triggered by direct user interaction.

  • Passing Results from SQL to Google Maps API in CodeIgniter

    - by Jason Shultz
    I'm hoping to use google maps on my site. My addresses are stored in a db. I’m pulling up a page where the information is all dynamic. For example: mysite.com/site/business/5 (where 5 is the id of the business). Let’s say I do a query like this: function addressForMap($id) { $this->db->select(‘b.id, b.busaddress, b.buscity, b.buszip’); $this->db->from(‘business as b’); $this->db->where(‘b.id, $id); } How can I output the info to the google maps api correctly so that it display’s the map appropriately? The API interface takes the results like this: $marker['address'] = 'Crescent Park, Palo Alto';

  • Publish to Facebook Stream via PHP using Graph API

    - by Liquid
    I'm trying to post a message to a user's wall using the new graph API and PHP. Connection seems to work fine, but no post appears. I'm not sure how to set up the posting code correctly. Please help me out. Sorry for the broken-looking code, for some reason StackOverflow didn't want to close it all in the code block. Below is my full code. Am I missing an extender permission requests, or is that taken care in this code: PHP Code <?php include_once 'facebook.php'; $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx', 'secret' => 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx', 'cookie' => true )); $session = $facebook->getSession(); if (!$session) { $url = $facebook->getLoginUrl(array( 'canvas' => 1, 'fbconnect' => 0 )); echo "<script type='text/javascript'>top.location.href = '$url';</script>"; } else { try { $uid = $facebook->getUser(); $me = $facebook->api('/me'); $updated = date("l, F j, Y", strtotime($me['updated_time'])); echo "Hello " . $me['name'] . "<br />"; echo "You last updated your profile on " . $updated; $connectUrl = $facebook->getUrl( 'www', 'login.php', array_merge(array( 'api_key' => $facebook->getAppId(), 'cancel_url' => 'http://www.test.com', 'req_perms' => 'publish_stream', 'display' => 'page', 'fbconnect' => 1, 'next' => 'http://www.test.com', 'return_session' => 1, 'session_version' => 3, 'v' => '1.0', ), $params) ); $result = $facebook->api( '/me/feed/', 'post', array('access_token' => $facebook->access_token, 'message' => 'Playing around with FB Graph..') ); } catch (FacebookApiException $e) { echo "Error:" . print_r($e, true); } } ?>

  • Track unicode words from Twitter using Ruby and the Tweetstream API

    - by Régis B.
    I am trying to track a set of keywords from Twitter by using the Streaming API (can't post the link here because of spam limitations: google twitter streaming API). I am doing this inside Ruby, using the TweetStream gem: http://bit.ly/cODAWI The problem I have is that I want to track keywords that contain some unicode/UTF-8 characters. For instance: require 'rubygems' require 'tweetstream' TweetStream::Client.new("my_user_name", "my_password").track("é") do |s| puts s.text end (you can try it out, provided you installed the tweetstream and json gems) This piece of code does not print anything, while replacing "é" with "e" outputs a bunch of tweets continuously. I did not find any reliable documentation about Unicode in Ruby, so I have no idea where the problem comes from. Thanks for your help!

  • How to tag photos in facebook-api?

    - by Camillo
    Hey, I wanted to ask if/how is it possible to tag a photo using the FB API (Graph or REST). I've managed to create an album and also to upload a photo in it, but I stuck on tagging. I've got the permissions and the correct session key. My code until now: try { $uid = $facebook->getUser(); $me = $facebook->api('/me'); $token = $session['access_token'];//here I get the token from the $session array $album_id = $album[0]; //upload photo $file= 'images/hand.jpg'; $args = array( 'message' => 'Photo from application', ); $args[basename($file)] = '@' . realpath($file); $ch = curl_init(); $url = 'https://graph.facebook.com/'.$album_id.'/photos?access_token='.$token; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $args); $data = curl_exec($ch); //returns the id of the photo you just uploaded print_r(json_decode($data,true)); $search = array('{"id":', "}"); $delete = array("", ""); // picture id call with $picture $picture = str_replace($search, $delete, $data); //here should be the photos.addTag, but i don't know how to solve this //above code works, below i don't know what is the error / what's missing $json = 'https://api.facebook.com/method/photos.addTag?pid='.urlencode($picture).'&tag_text=Test&x=50&y=50&access_token='.urlencode($token); $ch = curl_init(); $url = $json; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_exec($ch); } catch(FacebookApiException $e){ echo "Error:" . print_r($e, true); } I really searched a long time, if you know something that might help me, please post it here :) Thanks for all your help, Camillo

  • URL of the website calling Restlet API

    - by Christopher McCann
    I have a Restlet API and the methods exposed on it are called by a PHP web app. This web app is accessible by several domain names and depending on the domain certain aspects of the app are changed (look and feel, content etc). Is there a way for Restlet to determine the URL of the calling web app? I have used getReference() but all I can get is the (internal) IP address of the calling web server (not the domain name). My only other alternative is to pass the URL of the web app with every request to the API but it would be cleaner if Restlet already knew. Thanks

  • Customizing TabWidget in SDK 1.5, API 3

    - by Dylan McClung
    I'm aware that API 3 doesn't allow a view to be set for a tab, but I still need to modify the TextView displayed as the indicator. I'd also like to change the Drawable for the tab, but I don't see a way to do it without a custom tab view as allowed in 1.6, API 4. Working with this generic example below, is there way to retrieve the TextView and modify its properties or change the drawable? TabHost tabHost = getTabHost(); TabHost.TabSpec spec; spec = tabHost.newTabSpec("nearby") .setIndicator("Nearby Activity") .setContent(R.id.nearby_list); tabHost.addTab(spec); spec = tabHost.newTabSpec("friends") .setIndicator("Friends & Favorites") .setContent(R.id.friends_list); tabHost.addTab(spec); tabHost.setCurrentTabByTag("nearby"); Thanks for any help.

  • Securing a REST API

    - by Christopher McCann
    I am in the middle of developing a REST API - the first one I ever have. The data being passed through the API is not of such a critical nature that there will be loss of life, economics etc if it was intercepted but at the same time I would like it to be secure. The data being transferred is simply like the data that would be transferred on Twitter or Facebook - not overly confidential but still should be kept private. What is the best way to secure this data? Am I best to use HTTP Basic Auth over SSL or should I be looking into something like OAuth. I have never really used REST much before so bit of a first for me. Thanks

  • google search rankings and trends api

    - by Drakkhen
    I'm looking to find an api or program or interface to get the following information. I would like to see the amount of times a particular search term was used and its /weekly/monthly/yearly breakdown along with its rank in a particular page. I've found googlesearchpositionfinder.com and google.com/trends but i have 5000 terms to search for by hand is not happening. I've also found www.juiceanalytics.com/openjuice/programmatic-google-trends-api but it doesn't allow me to do a break down for a period of 2 years. Basically i'm trying to create a ranking of search phrases, the weeks(period) they were more popular and how a particular site(e.g urban dictionary) showed up in googles search rankings for the terms.

  • Rails: authentication system based on external API

    - by Slevin
    i'm building a Rails application to extend features of an existing online Rails app. The existing Rails app provides an API for authentication. My approach: user X have an account at the existing Rails app. With these login data the user X should authenticate on my Rails app. The existing app offers a gem to connect to the API after login. Whats the best method to store the information about a successful login? Should i use sessions? Or does Rails offer better methods for this?

  • Unicode string handling using Windows API

    - by DeadMG
    I always assumed that Unicode string handling was some dark art. However, I've seen that the Windows API has functions for comparing Unicode strings, for example. Does that mean that it's actually feasible to write a Unicode string class that can perform simple actions like sorting, equality comparison, and extraction from a file? Or are there hidden gotchas in the use of these functions that makes it actually a really bad idea? I'm just looking at libraries like ICU and they seem incredibly over-complicated compared to what a Unicode string class backed by the Windows API could actually look like, which would resemble the Standard string classes quite closely.

    - by janoChen
    When I click to the embedded Google Maps API of the following Web Page: http://ada.kiexpro.com/html/list.html (click ?? at the top-right corner). It displays: This web site needs a different Google Map API key. A new key can be generted at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/. Sorry but I've never used this application before. Do I have to just generate a new code in order to solve the problem? Or there are another problems?

  • Lua not producing table of functions (IO API)

    - by ArtOfCode
    I'm working on a basic project in Lua. I've been trying to get data from files using the IO API (as defined here), but when I open a file and give it a handle, it doesn't seem to return a table of functions. The (erroneous bit of) code: local unread = fs.list("email/"..from.."/") local send = "" for _,file in ipairs(unread) do local handle = io.open(file,"r") local text = handle:read("*a") send = send .. text .. "\n" handle.close() fs.delete(file) end The fs you see on the first line is a professional filesystem wrapper round the IO API, not my work and perfectly error-free, so that's not the problem. However, when I try to read the file (handle:read()), it throws "attempt to index nil". Tracing it, it turns out that handle itself is nil. Any ideas?
