  • DataGrid : Binding with two different classes with lists ? WPF C#

    It is my first question on StackOverflow so I hope I am doing nothing wrong ! Sorry if it is the case ! I need some help because I can not find the solution of my problem. Of course I have searched everywhere on the web but I can not find it (can not post the links that I am using because of my low reputation :( ). Moreover, I am new in C# and WPF (and self-learning). I used to work in C++/Qt so I do not know how everything works in WPF. And sorry for my English, I am French. My problem My basic classes are that an Employee can use a computer. The id of the computer and the date of use are stored into the class Connection. I would like to display the list information in a DataGrid and in RowDetailsTemplate like here : http://i.stack.imgur.com/Bvn1z.png So it will do a binding to the Employee class but also to the Connection class with only the last value of the property (here the last value of the list "Computer ID" and the last value of the list "Connection Date" on this last computer). So it is a loop in the different lists. How can I do it ? Is it too much to do ? :( I succeed to get the Employee informations but I do not know how to bind the list of computer. When I am trying, it shows me "(Collection)" so it does not go inside the list :( Summary of Questions How to display/bind a value from a list AND from a different class in a DataGrid ? But i need the div id="page-{id}" to be invisible to begin with on pageload and then visible when its button is being hovered over. can anyone help ?

    I am downlading the info.0.json file from xkcd and trying to parse just the alt text. I don't care if there are quotes around it or not. The problem it that the info.0.json file is all one line, and the alt text is in quotes after the word "alt=". Trying cat info.0.json | grep alt just returns the whole file (because it's all one line). What is the grep or sed code that will get me the alt text?

    I have some scenario like this: Product- Platform- mylibs(version-1) Product- mylibs(version-2) i.e Product uses mylibs (version-2) directly. Product also uses platform (which is also a dynamic lib) and platform uses my libs (version-1). The names of the libs used by product and platform are same. Only versions are different and both these versions are not compatible. Is there a way with ".so" libs in linux that Platform can link to one version and product can link to another version of the same libs having the same name?

    Question: Is there a mechanism in the .NET Framework to hide one custom Type from another without using separate projects/assemblies? I'm using C# with ASP.NET in a Website project (Note: Not a Web Application). Obviously there's not a way to enforce this restriction using language-specific OO keywords so I am looking for something else, for example: maybe a permission framework or code access mechanism, maybe something that uses meta data like Attributes. I'm unsure. I don't really care whether the solution actually hides classes from each other or just makes them inaccessible, etc. A runtime or design time answer will suffice. Looking for something easy to implement otherwise it's not worth the effort ... Background: I'm working in an ASP.NET Website project and the team has decided not to use separate project assemblies for different software layers. Therefore I'm looking for a way to have, for example, a DataAccess/ folder of which I disallow its classes to access other Types in the ASP.NET Website project.

  • Is there a way to redirect ONLY stderr to stdout (not combine the two) so it can be piped to other programs

    I'm working in a Windows CMD.EXE environment and would like to change the output of stdout to match that of stderr so that I can pipe error messages to other programs without the intermediary of a file. I'm aware of the 2>&1 notation, but that combines stdout and stderr into a single stream. What I'm thinking of would be something like this: program.exe 2>&1 | find " " But that combines stdout and stderr just like: program.exe | find " " 2>&1 I realize that I could do... program 2>file type file | find " " del file But this does not have the flexibility and power of a program | find " " sort of notation. Doing this requires that program has finished with it's output before that output can be processed.

    I have a site that allows users to purchase "items" (imagine it as an Advertisement, or a download). There are 2 ways to purchase. Either a subscription, 70 items within 1 month (use them or lose them--at the end of the month your count is 0) or purchase each item individually as you need it. So the user could subscribe and get 70/month or pay for 10 and use them when they want until the 10 are gone. Maybe it's the late hour, but I can't isolate a solution I like and thought some users here would surely have stumbled upon something similar. One I can imagine is webhosts. They sell hosting for monthy fees and sell counts of things like you get 5 free domains with our reseller account. or something like a movie download site, you can subscribe and get 100 movies each month, or pay for a one-time package of 10 movies. so is this a web of tables and where would be a good cross between the product a user has purchased and how many they have left? products productID, productType=subscription, consumable, subscription&consumable subscriptions SubscriptionID, subscriptionStartDate, subscriptionEndDate, consumables consumableID, consumableName UserProducts userID,productID,productType ,consumptionLimit,consumedCount (if subscription check against dates), otherwise just check that consumedCount is < than limit. Usually I can layout my data in a way that I know it will work the way I expect, but this one feels a little questionable to me. Like there is a hidden detail that is going to creep up later. That's why I decided to ask for help if someone in the vast expanse can enlighten me with their wisdom and experience and clue me in to a satisfying strategy. Thank you.
