  • Remove index.php in CodeIgniter

    - by Gabriel Bianconi
Hello. I'm trying to remove the 'index.php' from CI Urls. I've tried many solutions, none of them worked. I've already set these variables in 'config.php': $config['index_page'] = ""; $config['uri_protocol'] = "REQUEST_URI"; And my current .htaccess is: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^plugb.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.plugb.com/$1 [R=301,L] RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|files|robots\.txt) RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L,QSA] The www prefix part works fine. But the 'index.php' part doesn't. If you want to check the webpage, here is it: http://www.plugb.com/index.php/home

  • svnserve not strictly required?

    - by Kev
I was reading the Red Bean book and noticed this paragraph: Do not be seduced by the simple idea of having all of your users access a repository directly via file:// URLs. Even if the repository is readily available to everyone via a network share, this is a bad idea. It removes any layers of protection between the users and the repository: users can accidentally (or intentionally) corrupt the repository database, it becomes hard to take the repository offline for inspection or upgrade, and it can lead to a mess of file permission problems (see the section called “Supporting Multiple Repository Access Methods”). Note that this is also one of the reasons we warn against accessing repositories via svn+ssh:// URLs—from a security standpoint, it's effectively the same as local users accessing via file://, and it can entail all the same problems if the administrator isn't careful. I realized that, since I'm the only one accessing the repository, ever, none of these caveats seem to apply. Can I safely down svnserve then and only ever have to worry about upgrading my TortoiseSVN client, not both the client and the server whenever there's a new version out? (I've tried it already--just needed to use the Relocate feature to switch from svn:// to file://--but I wanted to make sure something wouldn't be sneaking up on me if I left it this way.)

  • Using axWebBrowser control to capture page request and postdata.

    - by Arjo
I'm writing a small utility to capture all requests made to a web server from a windows application using the axWebBrowser control. So far I have the following working, as the user traverse the website clicking on links, posting forms etc I capture the webpage and the data being send to the server to request the next page. Where I run into a stumbling block is when it comes to Ajax calls. There are number of drop down boxes that filter down the selection as the user types in the search term, I would like to capture the page/script that is called and the data being send. Any hint, advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • h:commandButton action not working inside a h:datatable.

    - by Chris
I'm stuck with this piece of jsf code that I don't understand why it's working when used outside a datatable and doesn't inside a datatable... <h:dataTable id="myTable" rendered="true" value="#{bean.selectedItemsList}" var="items"> <h:column> <h:commandButton action="#{bean.removeItemFromList}" image="/resources/images/deleterow.gif"> <f:actionListener binding="#{bean.actionListenerImpl}" type="com.mycorp.ActionListenerImpl"/> </h:commandButton> </h:column> <h:column> <h:outputText value="#{items}" /> </h:column> </h:dataTable> I read around the net to put value="#{items}" inside the action listener so the action can get the items in the row like this: <f:actionListener value="#{items}" binding="#{bean.actionListenerImpl}" type="com.mycorp.ActionListenerImpl"/> But it's doesn't work either. Bu if I do the action outside the data table everything work fine. <h:commandButton action="#{bean.removeItemFromList}" image="/resources/images/deleterow.gif"> <f:actionListener binding="#{bean.actionListenerImpl}" type="com.mycorp.ActionListenerImpl"/> </h:commandButton> Side note I also tried a4j:commandButton and didn't so I guess my problem is probably the actionlistener or how the bean handling it.

  • Using Website Information Without WebView

    - by Mr. Monkey
I am very new to this, and I more looking for what information I need to study to be able to accomplish this. What I want to do is use my GUI I have built for my app, but pull the information from a website. If I have a website that looks like this: (Sorry, can't post pics yet) http:// dl.dropbox.com/u/7037695/ErrorCodeApp/FromWebsite.PNG (full website can be seen at http://www.atmequipment.com/Error-Codes) What would I need from the website so that if a user entered an error code here: http:// dl.dropbox.com/u/7037695/ErrorCodeApp/InApp.PNG It would use the search from the website, and populate the error description in my app? I know this is a huge question, I'm just looking for what is actually needed to accomplish this, and then I can start researching from there. -- Or is it even possible?

  • Codeigniter redirect with base_url

    - by Obay
I noticed that anchor('controller/method') produces a different result than a mere <a href="controller/method"> in that anchor() adds the base_url: anchor(): <a href="http://localhost/dts/controller/method">View Timesheet</a> <a>: <a href="controller/method">View Timesheet</a> How do I achieve this same effect (anchor) in my controller? That is, adding the base_url in my redirects? I'm asking because I have a form that calls another method method2, which has a redirect('controller/method'). But it redirects incorrectly to controller/controller/method, then if the form is submitted again, redirects to controller/controller/controller/method and so on. That's why I'd like to know how to redirect to controller/method with the base_url pre-prended to it. redirect( base_url() . 'controller/method' ) doesn't work. Any ideas?

  • Modify request querystring paramaters to build a new link without resorting to string manipulation

    - by Andrew M
Hi All, I want to dynamically populate a link with the URI of the current request, but set one specific query string parameter. All other querystring paramaters (if there are any) should be left untouched. And I don't know in advance what they might be. Eg, imagine I want to build a link back to the current page, but with the querystring parameter "valueOfInterest" always set to be "wibble" (I'm doing this from the code-behind of an aspx page, .Net 3.5 in C# FWIW). Eg, a request for either of these two: /somepage.aspx /somepage.aspx?valueOfInterest=sausages would become: /somepage.aspx?valueOfInterest=wibble And most importantly (perhaps) a request for: /somepage.aspx?boring=something /somepage.aspx?boring=something&valueOfInterest=sausages would preserve the boring params to become: /somepage.aspx?boring=something&valueOfInterest=wibble Caveats: I'd like to avoid string manipulation if there's something more elegant in asp.net that is more robust. However if there isn't something more elegant, so be it. I've done (a little) homework: I found a blog post which suggested copying the request into a local HttpRequest object, but that still has a read-only collection for the querystring params. I've also had a look at using a URI object, but that doesn't seem to have a querystring

    - by Daok
I am trying to redirect everything to a single page from my /website/folder/ directory. • Redirect www.example.com/apple to food.example.com/fruits/apple

    - by Senthil
I want to redirect users from www.example.com/apple to http://food.example.com/fruits/apple Note: This is a hardcoded redirection. Even a mapping if you will. "apple" will not be substituted with anything else. Nothing in the two URLs will change except for the domain of course. So there is no need for a regular expression to match the "apple" or anything else. There is already dozens of RewriteCond and RewriteRule things in the .htaccess file. I do not want them to be affected. This redirection is independent of those. I have access to the .htaccess file at the root of www.example.com and the httpd.conf What code should I put in .htaccess in order to achieve this? Or should I change the httpd.conf?

  • how to resolve/normalize URLs in GWT/Javascript?

    - by Limbic System
Given two URLs, how can I resolve one of them against the other? I'm trying to emulate Java's URI.resolve(), which does not exist in GWT's emulation library. I've had to implement this manually, which, as you might expect has been very error-prone. Is there a GWT or Javascript library for resolving or normalizing URLs?

  • htaccess - Redirects with more than 1 slash not working

    - by barfoon
Hey everyone, Just moved to shared hosting on GoDaddy and Im trying to get my .htaccess rules working. Heres what I have: ErrorDocument 404 /error.php Options FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.mydomain\.org$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://mydomain.org/$1 [R=301,L] RewriteRule ^view/(\w+)$ viewitem.php?itemid=$1 [R=301,L] RewriteRule ^category/(\w+)$ viewcategory.php?tag=$1 [R=301,L] RewriteRule ^faq$ faq.php RewriteRule ^about$ about.php RewriteRule ^contact$ contact.php RewriteRule ^submit$ submit.php RewriteRule ^contactmsg$ handler-contact.php All the pages @ the root of the domain seem to be working i.e mydomain.org/faq, mydomain.org/about are working. But whenever I try mydomain.org/category/somecategory, I get a 404. How can I fix my .htaccess to obey these rules that are more than 1 level deep? Thanks,

  • mod_rewrite if file exists

    - by Mathieu Parent
Hi everyone, I already have two rewrite rules that work correctly for now but some more code has to be added to work perfectly. I have a website hosted at mydomain.com and all subdom.mydomain.com are rewrited to mydomain.com/subs/subdom . My CMS has to handle the request if the file being reached does not exist, the rewrite is done like so: RewriteCond $1 !^subs/ RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^.]+)\.mydomain\.com$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ subs/%1/index.php?page=$1 [L] My CMS handles the next part of the parsing as usual. The problem is if a file really exists, I need to link to it without passing through my CMS, I managed to do it like this: RewriteCond $1 !^subs/ RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^([^.]+)\.mydomain\.com$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ subs/%1/$1 [L] So far it seems to work like a charm. Now I am being picky and I need to have default files that are stored in subs/default/. If the file exists in the subdomain folder, we should grab this one but if not, we need to get the file from the default subdomain. And if the file does not exist anywhere, we should be using the 404 page from the current subdomain unless there is none. I hope it describes well enough. Thank you for your time!

  • Intermittent asp.net mvc exception: “A public action method ABC could not be found on controller XYZ

    - by Chris Schoon
Hi, I'm getting an intermittent exception saying that asp.net mvc can’t find the action method. Here’s the exception: A public action method 'Fill' could not be found on controller 'Schoon.Form.Web.Controllers.ChrisController'. I think I have the routing set up correctly because this application works most of the time. Here is the controller’s action method. [ActionName("Fill")] [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get | HttpVerbs.Post), UserIdFilter, DTOFilter] public ActionResult Fill(int userId, int subscriberId, DisplayMode? mode) { //… } The route: routes.MapRoute( "SchoonForm", "Form/Fill/{subscriberId}", new { controller = "ChrisController", action = "Fill" }, new { subscriberId = @"\d+" } ); And here is the stack: System.Web.HttpException: A public action method 'Fill' could not be found on controller 'Schoon.Form.Web.Controllers.ChrisController'. at System.Web.Mvc.Controller.HandleUnknownAction(String actionName) in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\Controller.cs:line 197 at System.Web.Mvc.Controller.ExecuteCore() in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\Controller.cs:line 164 at System.Web.Mvc.ControllerBase.Execute(RequestContext requestContext) in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\ControllerBase.cs:line 76 at System.Web.Mvc.ControllerBase.System.Web.Mvc.IController.Execute(RequestContext requestContext) in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\ControllerBase.cs:line 87 at System.Web.Mvc.MvcHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContextBase httpContext) in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\MvcHandler.cs:line 80 at System.Web.Mvc.MvcHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext httpContext) in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\MvcHandler.cs:line 68 at System.Web.Mvc.MvcHandler.System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext httpContext) in C:\dev\ThirdParty\MvcDev\src\SystemWebMvc\Mvc\MvcHandler.cs:line 104 at System.Web.HttpApplication.CallHandlerExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) Here is an example of my filters they all work the same way: public class UserIdFilter : ActionFilterAttribute { public override void OnActionExecuting(ActionExecutingContext filterContext) { const string Key = "userId"; if (filterContext.ActionParameters.ContainsKey(Key)) { filterContext.ActionParameters[Key] = // get the user id from session or cookie } base.OnActionExecuting(filterContext); } } Thanks, Chris

  • mod_rewrite different rules for different pages

    - by Sophia Gavish
Hi, I'm trying to understand how mod_rewrite works. I've been using it before but this week I tried to write rules to a new website and it doesn't works. I want to make a rule to make : www.example.com/media/?gallery=galleryname&album=albumname&pid=pictureid looks like: www.example.com/media/galleryname/albumname/pictureid The rule is: RewriteRule ^([^/])/([^/])/([^/]*)$ /media/?gallery=$1&album=$2&pid=$3 [L] and here is the code below: Options -Indexes Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} !^(TRACE|TRACK|GET|POST|HEAD)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-l RewriteRule ^([^/])/([^/])/([^/]*)$ /media/?gallery=$1&album=$2&pid=$3 [L] I really want to know what I'm missing, because I tried some examples and it looks fine to me. maybe because /media/ is an actual folder the rule is wrong? Thanks.
