  • How to pass a variable inside a jquery fonction $.each($("abc")...?

    I'm trying to iterate a bunch of SELECT OPTION html drop-down fields and from the ones that are NOT empty, take the values and add a hidden field for a PAYPAL shopping cart. My problem is that for some reason, the variable "curitem" is not passed inside the each function and I can't add the hidden field like they should. All I get is "NaN" or "undefined". What PAYPAL expect is : item_name_1, item_name_2, etc. All numbers must iterate by +1. How can I do this? And Name is split into 2 words (other words in middle are omitted), first word is taken as first anme and last word as last name.. Now I would like to implement search based on relevance.     I am noting this strange behavior where one of my fields -- receive_empresa_test_info -- has worked fine though it's always been referred to as receive_empresa_info. In Functional Tests, though, the real field name is receive_empresa_test_info. What is going on here? Might this be some part of the Rails environment that I'm missing during testing?

It's your typical CRUD app but I've noticed lately that some record are missing couple fields. Where they are null value. I think it might have been an Session issue.   • MySQL: how to index an "OR" clause

    I'm executing the following query SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE field1='value' AND (field2 = 1000 OR field3 = 2000) There is one index over field1 and another composited over field2&field3. I see MySQL always selects the field1 index and then makes a join using the other two fields which is quite bad because it needs to join 146.000 rows. Suggestions on how to improve this? Thanks

    I have a java primitive type at hand: Class c = int.class; // or long.class, or boolean.class I'd like to get a 'default value' for this class - specifically the value is assigned to fields of this type if they are not initialized. E.g., '0' for a number, 'false' for a boolean. Is there a generic way to do this? I tried c.newInstance() But I'm getting an InstantiationException, and not a default instance.

    Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble exporting a csv file that is created from one of my mysql tables using php. The code I'm using prints the correct data, but I can't see how to download this data in a csv file, providing a download link to the created file. I thought the browser was supposed to automatically provide the file for download, but it doesn't. (Could it be because the below code is called using ajax?)     Hello everyone, I have a contact form and I added an image as a background. The background image is flickering when I move the mouse over the fields in IE(6,7,8).   • Using "null" in jQuery functions. Is this okay?

    My database consists of some entries which are NULL (so they don't affect max, min, etc..). When I pull all of the data from the database, I need to repopulate form fields with the values. Using .val(value) where value = NULL seems to work without any problems, but I'm not sure if this is a valid way to go about this. It doesn't say anything in the jQuery documentation (that I can find) about using NULL as parameters to functions.

Im able to update passwords in the database but when i try to validate a user using the new password, the validation fails. Please check the below console output. Notice how the salt and crypted_password fields get update before and after the new password is saved. The issue is only on my production server (running passenger).
