• SVN Checkout URL - fresh install

  I just setup SVN on a server that is running Ubuntu server as a fresh install. I've got it up and running but am having difficult determining how to connect to it. I'm trying to do an import using the local IP address: http://IP/RepositoryName but it's saying it can't resolve the IP. I'm wondering if there's something on the server I need to setup. I have not modified dav_svn.conf because there is another server here that is running SVN (I'm migrating it to a new server) and it's dav_svn.conf is not modified. The current working SVN has a subdomain associated with the IP location of the server but doesn't do anything special with the ports as far as I can tell. I'm getting this error via RapidSVN when I try to import... Error: Error while performing action: OPTIONS of 'http://IP/RepositoryName': could not connect to server (http://IP) Any help would be appreciated

• Where does Rundesk execute local tasks from

  I'm trying to interact with the nodejs Azure sdk from a CentOS installation of Rundeck. If I try from the "run" adhoc virtual shell, I am able to after running azure account import <mykey> and can then also execute other Azure commands inside of jobs if I set them as Rundeck node tasks and not selecting "dispatch to nodes" in the job settings. Trying to run the Azure sdk commands as commands to be dispatched to the node (local) fails with the error: localhost1-NodeDispatch-localexec 04:53:04 /usr/bin/env: node: No such file or directory 04:53:04 Failed: NonZeroResultCode: Result code was 127 I am not able to "jumpstart" the same environment by running azure account import <mykey> I am assuming this is a permissions/environmental issue, though not sure how to fix it. UPDATE: Executing whoami from the same job returns rundeck, so I assume I will need to either modify that to execute tasks as my system user or grant permissions to get the rundeck user into the node environment the Azure sdk is running in?

  When I got sick my email ended up in every drug sellers email list. Some days I get over 200 emails selling everything from Viagra to Xanax. Either they don't know what my condition is or they are telling me you are a goner, might as well chill-ax and have a good time. In order to cut down on the mail being downloaded I thought I would add all of the Junk email senders from Outlook to my Network Solution mail server. Much to my amazement I could not find that import Spammers button, so I submitted a tech support request. Here is the response: Thank you for contacting Network Solutions Customer Service Department. We are committed to creating the best Customer experience possible. One of the first ways we can demonstrate our commitment to this goal is to quickly and efficiently handle your recent request. Maybe I should apply for a job to write those ten complicated lines of code... Maybe I should question my choice of vendors, because if they truly "cannot" then they are to stupid to have my business. It is both amusing and sad.   I am thinking about the way of establishing some-sort of real-time connection between MySQLpowered shopping cart and internal system that is running on PostgreSQL. Could you give me some sort of insight on this topic? For example, I can write some sort of csv export application, then enable remote MySQL for over the internet connection and then import csv to mysql directly from PC. Or upload csv and run cron on server. But this way of import-export causing delays; so I would like to link databased (or some msort). I have never done it before and would like to hear some opinions about this. Another way "just a thought" might to implement triggers that would initiate the update process via csv; but again, I would like to avoid csv. Do you have any good advise? Maybe some specific examples?

• SonicWall and Windows CA

  I'm attempting to import a certificate created by a CA I've set up in Windows using AD CS. I've done the following: 1) Created my own CA (MyCompany) 2) Enabled web services (mostly for ease of configuration) 3) Generated a certificate request on the Sonicwall itself 4) Used web services to sign the certificate 5) Imported the sign certificate into the Sonicwall ...this caused the certificate to show "No" for the Verified field. 6) Imported the CA's certificate. This is where I get stuck. I attempted to import the CRL list, but get the following error: CRL Error - Verification failed using CA certificate. No further errors appear in the logs. Without the CRL list the certificate won't verify and it doesn't appear under the "Administration" page so I can select it for use via HTTPS. Any ideas?

• How do I do a cross-platform backup/restore of a DB2 database?

  I need to dump a couple of databases from DB2 for Mac and DB2 for Linux and then import the databases to DB2 for Windows. Unfortunately, when I try the standard backup and restore I get the following error: SQL2570N An attempt to restore on target OS "NT-32" from a backup created on source OS "?" failed due to the incompatability of operating systems or an incorrect specification of the restore command. Reason-code: "1". I've seen references to DB2 needing an IXF dump and import, but I can't find any solid information about how to do this without dozens of other steps. Any hints on how to do this in the least painful manner?

• Importing email from other accounts in Gmail

  I have a Gmail account that imports (via POP) messages from an old Hotmail account that people still send mail to. I normally read my mail with Thunderbird, not the web interface. The thing is that Gmail imports the mails once per hour (approx), and sometimes I want to know if right now there are messages in my old account. I could just go and hit the "import now" button, but whatever. Is there someplace in the settings where I can change it so the importing happens once each, say, 15 minutes? Alternatively, is it possible to make a script that will tell Gmail to import the messages at that moment, just like it would if I went to the Settings and clicked "Check if I have mail now". I've heard about libgmail for Python, but it doesn't seem like it can do that.

  I'm trying to migrate the settings of my old machine (Win XP Professional) to the new one (Win 7 Professional) and I would like to keep my saved passwords for various wireless networks. How can I export them from XP and import in Win7? A few things that are mentioned a lot in chat groups but don't work: netsh can export/import wlan profiles on Vista/Win7, but not on XP; the Wireless Network Setup Wizard can only export settings for networks created by me; the best method I found was via http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_wep_key_faq.html which can list hex keys, but cannot load them nor save them in a useful format; I would rather not copy them one-by-one by hand.

So, I'm trying to do: import subprocess from subprocess import PIPE cmd_grep = subprocess.Popen(["ack-grep", "--no-color", "--max-count=1", "--no-group", "def run_main", "../cgedit/"], stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) Than, if I execute cmd_grep.stderr.read() I receive '' like the output. But I don't have the command ack-grep on my path. So, why Popen is not putting the error message on my .stderr variable? Also, is there a easyer way to do what I'm trying to do?

  I know, that beating Nero in this field is very difficult. I have looked through best software listed in wiki, also checked the related posts here and here: most of the software either allows you to create ISO image and/or burn the existing image. However I am interested in the following flow: Import previous session Add/rename/remove files and directories Burn new session UltraISO is very good in (1) and (2). But it cannot append a disk with new session. InfraRecorder/CDBurnerXP can do (1) (2) (3) but: InfraRecorder crashes when trying to import some Nero sessions CDBurnerXP does not allow to move files in previous session to another directories. Is anybody here happy with any other free software?

• In Djano, why do I get a 500 server error when browsing, but "python mysite.fcgi" from SSH works fin

  If I browse to my site, I get a 500 "internal server error." However, if I SSH into my server and go to my site's folder and run "python mysite.fcgi" I see the HTML rendered fine. Obviously, something is wrong, but I'm not sure what.   At my current job we are using tomcat, customers have custom web portals setup on their own local machines. EV certs are new to me, they have 2 part intermediary and a primary certificate. For our product to work it appears I need to get all three parts installed under a single keystore entry. How can I roll all three parts into a single x.509 compliant file for import? They syntax I am using is as follows: /blah/system/j2sdk/bin/keytool -import -alias foo -keystore /zix/system/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file certname.pem -trustcacerts where foo = the keystore name and certname.pem is the main cert. I have tried importing the intermediate certs under their own names into the keystore and I don't know if it's just the product I have to work with (not vanilla tomcat) or what but it doesn't see those. I have seen a working system and all three certs were under the single keystore alias. Anyone have any ideas?

• How can I transfer a blog hosted on Community Server to WordPress?

  I have a blog hosted on Community Server 2.1 (old version). I want to transfer it to WordPress (.com). I have tried exporting it to the BlogML format, but it failed with an exception. I saved a copy of the full RSS feed, by setting the # of posts to show to a huge number, save, then lower it back. I have all images and do not mind having to upload and rename them one by one. There must be a way to read that RSS file and either directly import it into WordPress, or for a more complicated path, transform it with the proper XSLT into the BlogML (or other) format, to import it into WordPress?

• Importing Omnigraffle drawings into a NeoOffice document

  What is the best way to import an Omnigraffle drawing into a NeoOffice document? I expect the document to change over time, and I may need to update the drawing later, so I'd like a way to make that happen painlessly. Currently, I export the drawing to a .jpg and then import that in NeoOffice with Insert-Picture-From File... but that's an extra step and extra file to maintain (the intermediate .jpg) and the frame that NeoOffice puts the image in always gives me trouble when I try to update the image with a new one.

• Clone MySQL DB - errors with CREATE VIEW/SHOW VIEW privileges

  Running MySQL 5.0.32 on Debian 4.0 (Etch). I'm trying to clone a WordPress MySQL database completely (structure and data) on the same server. I tried a dump to an .sql file and an import into a new empty database from the command line, but the import fails with errors saying the user does not have the "SHOW VIEW" or "CREATE VIEW" privilege. Trying it with PHPMyAdmin doesn't work either. I also tried doing this with the MySQL root user (not named "root" though) and it shows an "Access Denied" error. I'm terribly confused as to where the problem is. Any pointers on cloning a MySQL DB and granting all privileges to a user account would be great (specifically for MySQL 5.0.32). Thanks!

• MySQL Server - Got error -1 from storage engine

  I am currently trying to restore a MySQL table from the .ibd file. I have been following the instructions on the MySQL reference manual on how to use DISCARD and IMPORT TABLESPACE to replace the .idb files. Discarding the tablespace returns no error and the file is deleted however IMPORTING the replacement .ibd file yields a "Got error -1 from storage engine" error. There doesn't seem to be too much information about what exactly an error -1 is. Does anybody have any further insight as to why an import table space isn't working?

• Powershell script to append an extension to a file, input from CSV

  Hi All, All I need is to have an Excel list of file paths and use Powershell to append (not replace) the same extension on to each file. It should be very simple, right? The problem I'm seeing is that if I go input-csv -path myfile.csv | write-host I get the following output: @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\appendto.me} @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\append_list.csv} @{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt} In other words it looks like it's outputting the CSV "formatting" as well. However if I just issue import-csv -path myfile.csv, the output is what I expect: FullName -------- C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\appendto.me C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\append_list.csv C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt Clearly there's no file called "@{FullName=C:\Users\jpalumbo\test\leavemealone.txt}" and a rename on that won't work, so I'm not sure how to best get this data out of the import-csv command, or whether to store it in an object, or what. • How to de-dupe identical photos that have a slightly different file size?

  I imported many photos using the new "camera import" feature of Dropbox. Many of those were duplicates of photos previously imported by direct copying from the camera. Strangely, the Dropbox import appears to slightly reduce the file size. E.g. here on the right is the file imported through Dropbox: Comparison of the two files using pdiff returns "Images are binary identical", but tools such as fdupes or even the Picasa "show duplicate files" feature, consider them as unique. What can be the cause of this file size change? Is there any way to undo it? Most importantly: how can I de-dupe efficiently without regard to file size comparison? (running pdiff comparison over all photo pairs in my library is obviously impractical...) A solution for either OS X or Windows would do.

• Mysql innoDB corruption after server crash

  Yesterday my server died because an outage in the data center. Today it's back up, but having some problems with mysql. First of all my mysql server was not able to start. For this reason I deleted the files ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1 in /var/lib/mysql folder (I still have the old failing files). After this my server was able to startup again. But now I see a lot of issues in the mysql log file. See Sep 1 09:43:55 * mysqld: InnoDB: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/forcing-recovery.html When I check the docs on mysql.com, I found that I need to recover my database with backups. I have a backup but not sure what's the good way on importing it. Or is there a way to recover without having to re-import the database again? So if I'm correct I need to put innodb_force_recovery to 4 in mysql and delete all current data and re-import? Is there a way to do this without having downtime? I also have one slave running. This slave has the current status now: Last_Error: Relay log read failure: Could not parse relay log event entry. The possible reasons are: the master's binary log is corrupted (you can check this by running 'mysqlbinlog' on the binary log), the slave's relay log is corrupted (you can check this by running 'mysqlbinlog' on the relay log), a network problem, or a bug in the master's or slave's MySQL code. If you want to check the master's binary log or slave's relay log, you will be able to know their names by issuing 'SHOW SLAVE STATUS' on this slave. How can I totally reset the slave after the new import on the master has happend? Hopefully we can find a solution without not to much downtime. Thanks!
