  • Non-alphanumeric character folder name auto-completion problems

    I have been working with Windows 7's command line and have some folders that begin with non-alphanumeric characters. When I try to use tab completion to complete the folder name, the initial character is not included inside of the quotation marks. Example: C:\Users\username\!example is the folder I want to get into, but when I type: cd ! and press <Tab> to autocomplete, it will complete to cd !"!example" instead of the expected cd "!example" Any ideas on how to fix this besides changing the folder names? EDIT: I realize I could just tab through the entire list after entering cd, but I'm looking for a way to speed up the process. I have been spending a significant amount of time navigating these folders. UPDATE: This also happens if there is a space in the directory. For example: "c:\Program Files". In order to continue using tab to complete, first the second quote has to be deleted. C:\Program press Tab "C:\Program Files" is what appears. To navigate to a subdirectory, first the quote after Program Files has to be deleted before the next directory can be spelled out.

I have script running in command line which save cache using Zend_Cache $frontendOptions = array( 'lifetime' => NULL, 'automatic_serialization' => true ); $backendOptions = array( 'cache_dir' => "/home/tmp/cache" ); $cache = Zend_Cache::factory('Core', 'File', $frontendOptions, $backendOptions); $vars = Array("id1" => "12121", "id2" => "2232"); $cache->save($vars, "p_11"); I can access saved cache from command line: $cache->load("p_11"); In above both case, I have app.php file that run in command line using php-cli. Now, I want to access p_11 cache using browser something like http://mytestserve.lan/test_cache.php I have create object with cache factory like above. All the parameters are same as above. However when I try to load cache p_11, i do not variables set from command line. What went wrong?

  • ESXi v5.5 is having random crashes

    HW: Type: HP Proliant ML350 G5 RAM 22GB CPU 1 x Intel Xenon E5405 2.00GHz OP: ESXi 5.5 just updated from 5.1 to try and fix the crashes occurring on ESXi 5.1 on same hardware. I'm trying to find the error on why one of our servers is crashing, it has had two lock ups in 24 hours now. The internal error light on the front is blinking red, on the inside only "#5 and #6 page 76 manual" the "Processor 2" light "amber" and the "Power" light "green" is shining. in the logs the only errors i can see in the relevant time frame is in log under.   • How to view shell commands used by eclipse "run configurations"

    Given a "run configuration" in Eclipse, I want to print out the associated shell command that would be used to run it. For example: Right now, in Eclipse, if I click "play" it will run: mvn assembly:directory -Dmaven.test.skip=true I don't see that command, I just know that's what the IDE must run, at some point. However, some of the other run configurations are far more complex with long classpaths and virtual machine options and, frankly, sometimes I have no idea what the equivalent shell command would be (particularly when it comes to Flex). There must be some way to access the shell command that would be associated with a "Run Configuration" in Eclipse/Flex Builder. This information must be available, which leads me to believe someone has written a plugin to display it. Or maybe there's already an option built into Eclipse for accessing this. So is there a way to, essentially, convert an Eclipse run configuration into a shell command? (for context only: I'm asking because I'm writing a bash script that automates everything I do, during development--from populating the Database all the way to opening Firefox and clearing the cache before running the web app. So every command I run from the IDE needs to exist in the script. Some are tricky to figure out.)

  • How do I get Catalyst 11.10 with ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5470 working on an HP DV7?

    I have a HP DV7 with a HD 5470 512M card. Installation of the Catalyst 11.10 is repeatedly failing on a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10. Catalyst 11.8 proprietary drivers were working well with Ubuntu 11.04. I have tried installing directly from the .run and generating the distribution specific packages. Nothing has worked. After installation which goes through successfully, the system hangs on reboot after the flashing dots. I have to replace the /etc/X11/xorg.conf to get the X working. I have followed instructions as per the http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Main_Page wiki. Request for support to ATI/AMD gives the response that this model is unsupported on Linux by HP :). Updated 14-Nov I have reverted back to the open source drivers which work well enough for me.

    I have lots of experience of writing php scripts that are run in the context of a webserver and almost no epxerience of writing php scripts for CLI or GUI output. I have used the command line for linux but do not have much expereince with DOS. Lets say I have php script that is: <?php echo('Hello world'); for ($idx = 0 ; $idx < 100 ; $idx++ ) { echo 'I am line '. $idx . PHP_EOL; } Then, I run it in my DOS Command prompt: # php helloworld.php Now this will spurt out the output quckly and i have to scroll the DOS command window up to see the output. I want to see the output one 'screen full' at a time. How do you do that from the perspective of a DOS user? Furthermore, although this is not my main main question, I would be also interested in knowing how to make the php script 'wait for input' from the command prompt.

  • HP 530 Wireless problem. Bad communication with access point

    I installed Ubuntu 11.10 on HP 530 and to make Wireless work installed STA driver from jockey (obviously proprietary) and, since it didn't work also installed their driver from HP website via ndiswrapper. After this (and a reboot) I see the WiFi indicator glowing, like it should be, and I am able to find local access points. But when I try to connect to mine personal one with WPA 2 security (with password) it hangs at authentification (I'm using wicd to manage wifi), and after a minute or so (I guess timeout of request happens) it says I have a wrong password (it is 100% correct). What might be the problem here? Yesterday I was able to connect to access point by changing type of encryption from passphrase to preshared key but didn't have internet access. Now, after reboot, I can't connect there again.

  • Workspeace view shows first workspaces out of border at left

    I am using nvidia-current and edited from settings my monitors so that my second monitor is at left and unity-panel shows only in my main monitor. How ever now the workspaces images have shifted so that second monitor first workpsaces are moved out of the left border and when the monitor is not turn on I can't see the the workspaces there. Sometimes programs have been moved when monitor is been flashed to the workspace shown in out of border and I have no means to move the program windows into my main workspace views.   • Starting Beyond Compare from the Command Line

    I have Beyond Compare 3 installed at; "C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 3\BCompare.exe" and Cygwin; "C:\Cygwin\bin\bash.exe" What I would like is to be able to use a command such as; diff <file1> <file2> into the Cygwin shell and to have the shell fork a process opening the two files in beyond compare. I looked at the Beyond Compare Support Page but I'm afraid It was too brief for me. I tried copying the text verbatim (apart from path to executable) to no avail; Instead of using a batch file, create a file named "bc.sh" with the following line: "$(cygpath 'C:\Progra~1\Beyond~1\bcomp.exe')" `cygpath -w "$6"` `cygpath -w "$7"` /title1="$3" /title2="$5" /readonly Was I supposed to replace cygpath? I get a 'Command not found' error when I enter the name of the script on the command line. gavina@whwgavina1 /cygdrive $ "C:\Documents and Settings\gavina\Desktop\bc.sh" bash: C:\Documents and Settings\gavina\Desktop\bc.sh: command not found Does anyone have Beyond Compare working as I have described?   • Unable to pass variables from one view to another

    I have a detail view that includes three UIButtons, each of which pushes a different view on to the stack. One of the buttons is connected to a MKMapView. When that button is pushed I need to send the latitude and longitude variables from the detail view to the map view. I'm trying to add the string declaration in the IBAction: - (IBAction)goToMapView { MapViewController *mapController = [[MapViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MapViewController" bundle:nil]; mapController.address = self.address; mapController.Title = self.Title; mapController.lat = self.lat; mapController.lng = self.lng; //Push the new view on the stack [[self navigationController] pushViewController:mapController animated:YES]; [mapController release]; mapController = nil; } But I get this when I try to build: 'error: incompatible types in assignment' for both lat and lng variables. So my questions are am I going about passing the variables from one view to another the right way? And does the MKMapView accept latitude and longitude as a string or a number?
