• Where to place web.xml outside WAR file for secure redirect?

  I am running Tomcat 7 and am deploying a bunch of applications delivered to me by a third party as WAR files. I'd like to force some of those apps to always use SSL. (All the "SSL" apps are in one service; other apps outside this discussion are in another service.) I've figured out how to use conf\web.xml to redirect apps from HTTP to HTTPS, but that applies to all applications hosted by Tomcat. I've also figured out how to put web.xml in an unpacked app's web-inf directory; that does the trick for that specific app, but runs the risk of being overwritten if our vendor gives us a new war file to deploy. I've also tried placing the web.xml file in various places under conf\service\host, or under appbase, but none seem to work. Is it possible to redirect some apps to SSL without forcing all apps to redirect, or to put the web.xml file inside the extracted WAR file? • PHP, javascript, single quote problems with IE when passing variable from ajax post to javascript fu

  Hi! I have been trying to get this to work for a while, and I suspect there's an easy solution that I just can't find. My head feels like jelly and I would really appreciate any help. My main page.php makes a .post() to backend.php and fetches a list of cities which it echoes in the form of: <li onclick="script('$data');">$data</li> The list is fetched and put onto the page via .html(). My problem occurs when $data has a single quote in it. backend.php passes the variable just fine to page.php but when i run html() it throws a javascript error (in IE, not FF obviously); ')' is expected IE parses the single quote and messes up the script()-call. I've been trying to rebuild the echoed string in different ways, escaping the 's on the php side and/or on the javascript side - but in vain. • jqGrid dynamic select option

  I'm creating a jqgrid with drop down columns and I'm using cell editing. I need the options of the drop down columns to change dynamically and I've tried implementing this by setting the column to be: { name: "AccountLookup", index: "AccountLookup", width: 90, editable: true, resizable: true, edittype: "select", formatter: "select" }, and then in the beforeCellEdit event I have: beforeEditCell: function(id, name, val, iRow, iCol) { if(name=='AccountLookup') { var listdata = GetLookupValues(id, name); if (listdata == null) listdata = "1:1"; jQuery("#grid").setColProp(name, { editoptions: { value: listdata.toString()} }) } }, GetLookupValues just returns a string in the format "1:One;2:Two" etc. That works fine however the options are populated one click behind - ie i click on AccountID in row 1, and the dropdown is empty, however when I then click on AccountID in row 3 the options I set in the row 1 click are shown in the row 3 click. And so on. So always one click behind. Is there another way of achieving what I need? Bacially the dropdown options displayed are always changing and I need to load them as user enters the cell for editing. Perhaps I can somehow get at the select control in the beforeEditCell event and manually enter its values instead of using the setColProp call? If so could I get an example of doing that please? Another thing - if the dropdown is empty and a user doesn't cancel the cell edit, the grid script throws an error. I'm using clientarray editing if that makes a difference.   First off, we are using JPA 2.0 and Hibernate 3.5 as persistence provider on a PostgreSQL database. We successfully use the sequence of the database via the JPA 2.0 annotations as an auto-generated value for single-field-surrogate-keys and all works fine. Now we are implementing a bi-temporal database-scheme that requires a mixed key in the following manner: Table 1: id (pk, integer, auto-generated-sequence) validTimeBegin (pk, dateTime) validTimeEnd (dateTime) firstName (varChar) Now we have a problem. You see, if we INSERT a new element, the field id is auto-generated and that's fine. When there are too much widgets to fit in the window, I want to use a scrollbar, so I put tix.ScrolledWindow inside that Frame and add my widgets to this ScrolledWindow instead.   I'm using ExtJS to create an EditorGridPanel with a combobox for an editor in a cell. The combobox in my EditorGridPanel that is not working as I'd expect it to. When the user types the first letter of an item in the drop down list, the combobox seems to ignore it and select the first item in the list. I can reproduce the error consistently and have put together a test case here: http://cluebucket.com/dev/testcase/testcase.html Load the page and reproduce the behavior by the following -- note that this is all done using the keyboard, no mouse clicks: Click 'Add Record' (A new row is added to the grid) enter text in the text field. • Problem with Informix JDBC, MONEY and decimal separator in string literals

  I have problem with JDBC application that uses MONEY data type. When I insert into MONEY column: insert into _money_test (amt) values ('123.45') I got exception: Character to numeric conversion error The same SQL works from native Windows application using ODBC driver. I live in Poland and have Polish locale and in my country comma separates decimal part of number, so I tried: insert into _money_test (amt) values ('123,45') And it worked. I checked that in PreparedStatement I must use dot separator: 123.45. And of course I can use: insert into _money_test (amt) values (123.45) But some code is "general", it imports data from csv file and it was safe to put number into string literal. How to force JDBC to use DBMONEY (or simply dot) in literals? My workstation is WinXP. I have ODBC and JDBC Informix client in version 3.50 TC5/JC5. I have set DBMONEY to just dot: DBMONEY=.   Since I updated today to GAE 1.7.2.1, I'm having validation errors in eclipse in all my jdoconfig.xml files. I have the default jdoconfig.xml content : [...] <jdoconfig xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jdo/jdoconfig" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jdo/jdoconfig"> [...] And eclipse validation throws: Referenced file contains errors (http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jdo/jdoconfig). For more information, right click on the message in the Problems View and select "Show Details..." When clicking on details I can see a bunch of lines like: s4s-elt-character: Non-whitespace characters are not allowed in schema elements other than 'xs:appinfo' and 'xs:documentation'. Saw 'var_U = "undefined";'. In different lines and different content in "Saw ... " It occurs in every single project I start using the "New Web Application Project..." from the google plugin. So does anyone have this problem? Any fix?

• Zend Studio Debugger returns Application Error

  When I run debug for my public/index.php I got an application error as output. I've seen that it occurs at this line: foreach($feed->findFeedEntries($entriesLimit) as $entry) If I put a breakpoint before this, all works as expected, I mean, the error is after the line above. If I remove findFeedEntries() method, I can perform debugging without erros. • Naming of ASP.NET controls inside User Controls with ASP.NET MVC

  I am wondering if there is a way to make ASP.NET controls play nicely with my ASP.NET MVC app. Here is what I am doing. I have an order page which displays info about a single Order object. The page will normally have a bunch of rows of data, each row representing an OrderItem object. Each row is an ASP.NET User Control. On the user control there is a form element with two text boxes (Quantity and Price), and an update button. When I click the update button, I expect the form to post the data for that individual OrderItem row to a controller method and update the OrderItem record in the database. Here is my problem: When the post happens, the framework complains because the fields on the form don't match the parameters on the controller method. Each form field is something like "OrderItem_1$Quantity" or "OrderItem_2$Price" instead of just "Quantity" or "Price" which would match my method parameters. I have been told that I can overcome this by making sure that the IDs of all my controls are unique for the page, but allow the NAMEs to be repeated between different forms, so that if a form for an individual row is posted, the name can be something that will match what is on my controller method. The only problem is that I am using ASP.NET controls for my text boxes (which I REALLY want to continue doing) and I can't find any way to override the name field. There is no Name propery on an ASP.NET control, and even when I try to set it using the Attributes accessor property by saying "control.Attributes["Name"] = "Price";" it just adds another name= attribute to the HTML tag which doesn't work. Does any one know how I can make this work? I really don't like all of the HtmlHelper functions like TextBox and DropDown because I hate having my .aspx be so PHP or ASP like with the <%% tags and everything. Thanks!

If i log the rowString i see the correct value so data is good but in the UI it's the old data. I can see the cellForRowAtIndexPath beeing called so i know the reloadDatacall goes thru.
