  • Is there a way to programatically popup the "Microsoft Silverlight Configuration" dialog?

    I am building for Silverlight 4, and I handle MouseRightButtonDown events and build my own ContextMenu's (a class from the Silverlight Toolkit). I would like to add the classic "Silverlight" menu item to my menus, and give the user the familiar option of launching the "Microsoft Silverlight Configuration" dialog. This is the dialog lets users manage Updates, Webcams, Permissions, and Application Storage. So I need a way to programatically launch the dialog when the menu item is clicked. I can be done for Flash, and it would seem that Microsoft would want to encourage developers to support that option. Can it be done?

I have a dropdown where I'm giving the selection of All and Pending messages. But if the users have any pending messages in INBOX of just one day behind ,they have to choose All to retrieve the messages. So how do I retrieve messages from message table of just one day behind ?     Hi guys, I'm considering Wordpress as my CMS platform for a client site I'm doing at the moment. However, I need to create a couple of custom 'modules'. One of these modules is a form that people will be able to complete and have a quote, and once submitted, in a special place in the Wordpress panel (like a menu or something), there will be a listing of all the submitted quotes (just fetching it from a table in my database). Another one is to manage a cafeteria menu, so the client can add a different meal to each day of the week. I know perfectly how to do this kind of things using some kind of MVC framework and doing it 'by-hand', but I'm just wondering if this would be possible to do with WP and if yes, what kind of tools I'll have to use.     I have two cells in SPSS, months is a number of months, years_from_months is the number of years, calculated from the months (decimal: months / 12). What I want is that years_from_months is calculated (and updated) automatically, when I finish entering the months in months, i.e. that I don't have to explicitly call compute manually through the menu. I have defined years_from_months to calculate the years, but at the moment the field only updates when I go to the menu option Transform Compute variable ... and click OK in the window that opens. How can I set up the cell to update automatically (like in Excel)?

    Hi, I have a PHP page with two drop down lists. I am using AJAX to populate the second one according to the choice made of the first drop down list. My problem is that when i am posting both values of the two dropdownlists to another php page in which an INSERT query is being made, the value of the second dropdown list is blank (as if no value was selected from the second drop down list). Can you please take a look at this code and let me know what I am doing wrong?

    I am sorry about the amount of code here. I have tried to show enough for understanding while avoiding confusion (I hope). I have included a second copy of the code at Pastebin. (The code does execute without error/notice/warning.) I am currently creating a Content Management System while trying to implement the idea of Model View Controller. I have only recently come across the concept of MVC (within the last week) and trying to implement this into my current project. One of the features of the CMS is dynamic/customisable menu areas and each feature will be represented by a controller. Therefore there will be multiple versions of the Controller Class, each with specific extended functionality. I have looked at a number of tutorials and read some open source solutions to the MVC Framework. I am now trying to create a lightweight solution for my specific requirements. I am not interested in backwards compatibility, I am using PHP 5.3. An advantage of the Base class is not having to use global and can directly access any loaded class using $this->Obj['ClassName']->property/function();. Hoping to get some feedback using the basic structure outlined (with performance in mind). Specifically; a) Have I understood/implemented the concept of MVC correctly? b) Have I understood/implemented Object Orientated techniques with PHP 5 correctly? c) Should the class propertise of Base be static? d) Improvements?   • Getting control that fired postback in page_init

    I have a gridview that includes dynamically created dropdownlist. When changing the dropdown values and doing a mass update on the grid (btnUpdate.click), I have to create the controls in the page init so they will be available to the viewstate. However, I have several other buttons that also cause a postback and I don't want to create the controls in the page init, but rather later in the button click events. How can I tell which control fired the postback while in page_init? __EVENTTARGET = "" and request.params("btnUpdate") is nothing

  • Issues loading Jquery (Galleria) script from inside an i-frame (beginner javascript?)

    Hello, first of all - I'm not entirely new to javascript, but am not fluent in it as I am with html and css, and am especially new to jQuery... so please excuse me if this questions seems easy or obvious, but after days of google I still have no solution to the problem... using jQuery 1.4.2.min, jQuery-ui-1.8.1 .... the site in question: http://homecapture.ca/sets/project_index.html The scenario: I have a tabbed menu generated from an unordered list, when a menu item is clicked it reveals an iframe which links to the page containing an image gallery. I am using jQuery UI tabs for the tabbed menu, and the galleries to which I'm linking are jQuery Galleria pages, automatically generated with Jalbum. The problem: The galleria plug-in only works normally from inside of the containing iframe in Chrome, has inconsistent behaviour in IE8 (seems to work in my local copy, but won't load properly online), and is not loaded properly in Firefox. Instead of displaying a thumbnail area and the first large image, the Galleria page shows the first thumbnail only, then when it is clicked the image it links to, but if you right-click and go Back, the iframe content shows up as a properly rendered Galleria page. Jalbum generates more script in the < head of the page in addition to linking to jquery and the galleria plug-in. All of it seems to be in charge of the gallery navigation , and I have relocated it to the < body of the page, in an effort to make it load after the parent page scripts, and together with the gallery content. At this point I am not sure what else I could do to solve the problem, without digging around in all or some of the library and pluging .js files (which I am not knowledgeable enough to do without some pointers). Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? I'm seeing some solutions for manipulating iframe content from a parent page with jQuery on here, is that what I should be researching instead?     Hi All, We're trying to alter the DataGridViewComboBoxCell so that when the user expands the dropdown menu, inactive items are displayed in grey text. I've found out how to do this by creating a new object, which inherits from DataGridViewComboBoxEditingControl. The problem with this, is that I'm not sure how to tell the comboBoxCell, or column, to use this EditingControl, when the user clicks on the cell. Any ideas?

    Looking to create a menu toggle that switches between two possible arrays for a spinner. For example, if the spinner is set to show array A, then when I press this menu button, I want the spinner to be set to array B. If I press it again, I want it to be set back to array A. I can handle the if/then statements and all, but how do I call the spinner's array adapter? I know how to call its value using getSelectedItemPosition(); but is there a similar method for retrieving WHICH array it is currently set to?

  • Cannot do a ncurses overwrite(curscr, savewin) correctly because I ripoffline() before

    I have a C/ncurses program that I'm debugging/maintaining. This program does ripoffline twice: first, to put a title bar and the second time to put a menu bar on the top of the page. I need to dropdown some menus so I save the screen before I drop down the menus. In the InitMenu function, I have the following code: savewin = newwin (0, 0, 0, 0); overwrite (curscr, savewin); wrefresh(savewin) The problem is that savewin is being copied WITH the menu and the ripped off lines, but it gets drawn on the screen BELOW the rippedoff lines. This duplicates the ripped off lines on the screen. Only realizing where the problem was took me a while. Now, I have no idea how to fix it. Ideally, I would like to copy curscr to savewin without the ripped off lines. Any ideas?

    I have several buttons on my main UIViewController (main menu) that creates and adds a subview UIViewController on top of the main menu. When I remove the subview the memory from that controller is not released. How can I release that subviews memory instantly? Does anyone have an example? This would solve all my problems!   • two UserControls, one page, need to notify each other of updates

    I've got a user control thats used twice on the same page, each have the ability to be updated (a dropdown list gets a new item) and I'm not sure what might be the best way to handle this. One concern - this is an older system (~4+ years, datasets, .net2) and it is amazingly brittle. I did manage to have it run on 3.5 with no problems, but I've had a few run-ins with the javascript validation (~300 lines per page) throwing up all over the place when I change/add/modify controls in the parent.
