  • disable Opera function key in javascript

    I'm writing javascript code for a web emulator containing function keys. The user is able to press keyboard function keys to process something in the emulator, I used stopPropagation and preventDefault javascript function to stop/cancel browsers invoking their function key shortcut (e.g. F1 will invoke Firefox to open its help page) and the code works fine under Firefox and Chrome. But Opera didn't work. I'm using latest Opera 10.5 here. Can anyone help ?

  • The second floating div in chrome clears down before first div.

    Two divs are next to eachother, both floating left within a wrapper. In IE and firefox they appear correctly, but in Chrome, the 2nd floating div clears down below Div A. When I remove "float:left" in the css, it goes to the correct position in Chrome, but clears down in IE and firefox (as it should). I dont know why it is appearing this way in Chrome. Any ideas?

    Im using following CSS to set a background-image for my menu #menuContainer { background:url('../images/main-bg.png') repeat-x; } My CSS is inside ~/styles/site.css and my image is inside ~/images/main-bg.png The problem is this works perfectly in Chrome but it's not working in Firefox. But if change the URL to #menuContainer { background:url('images/main-bg.png') repeat-x; } It starts working in Firefox and in Chrome it doesn't work. Can anyone please help?

    The beginnings of a site here: http://qaa.miltonfame.org/ html and css pass validation tests Page displays fine in all Mac browsers I have tried (Safari, Firefox, Camino) Page displays fine in Windows 7 FireFox Nothing but background renders in Explorer 8 Windows 7 (and in other Explorer versions via screenshot services.) View Source shows that Explorer is getting the content - it's just not appearing on screen. No idea how to approach addressing this - any suggestions would REALLY be appreciated. Thanks a million.

For its EditorPart.ApplyChanges method I set the return value to false whenever there is an error. In the EditorZone I get a standard error message indicating that some error happened to the editor, but I want to change that message. Is that possible?     I am trying to create a method in which I can exequte mysql UPDATE, DELETE or INSERT query. The method must work when with an INSERT I ask or do not ask the last_insert_id(). Some fictional, though not by much, examples of situations: Clients who are not familiar with using the Internet, and insist on features that are not even remotely feasible (ex. time travel) Clients who are unable to express accurately what they're looking for (ex. "I know that's what I said and signed off on, but it's not what I meant") Clients who refuse to attend meetings or review sessions to answer questions or define requirements (which makes any agile development impossible) For the most part, I'm trying to find best practices for how to handle these kinds of things on a team-building level.   • Environment.GetFolderPath(...CommonApplicationData) is still returning c:\Docs&Set on Vista

    As i understand it, you're supposed to use Environment.GetFolderPath method so you have OS independent code... WinXP uses C:\Docs and Settings\ Vista uses C:\ProgramData and c:\Users I'm using the code below on a vista computer and it's returning a c:\documents and settings directory instead of c:\ProgramData like it should... The ruby script will return -1 if exception is caught and 0 if success. rescue Exception => ex puts ex.message returnvalue = -1 else returnvalue = 0 ensure puts returnvalue in the cmd batch, calling the script using ruby.exe ruby tt.rb 1 %1 But I'm not able to retreive the returnvalue in the cmd batch file (e.g. using %errorlevel%).     I see that this question has been asked a lot, however I haven't found anything yet that solves the problem I'm having. Obviously i'm using the Entity Framework to perform an update to a record. Once the updates are complete, however, whenever I try to save I get the following error message: An object with the same key already exists in the objectstatemanager At first I was passing in a collection object from the view that contained a copy of the the ZipCodeTerritory model object zipToUpdate. I changed the code by pulling this object out and just sending in the relevant fields instead. However, I'm still getting the same error. What's also weird is the first time I run this code, it works fine. Any attempt after that I get the error.
