    We (developement team 4 upto 7 people) use Sparxsystems EA for requirement analysis, modeling etc. Do you know any well-working methods to use EA and some task/issue tracking system like Redmine/Mantis/Trac ? The problem is not to duplicate functionality (there are issues/tasks/changes in Redmine and EA) but to have some user friendly interface (preffered web) to manage tasks and issues. By user-friendly I mean "my tasks" page add effort / time tracking easy "add issue" by everyone (simple bug tracking system) mail notifications

    I want to use YUI Compressor (the original) and use it as part of typical MS build processes (Visual Studio 2008, MSBuild). Does anyone have any guidance or thoughts on this? For example, good ways for incorporating into project, what to do with existing CSS and JS references, and the like.   • Changing models in django results in broken database?

    I have added and removed fields in my models.py file and then run manage.py syncdb. Usually I have to quit out of the shell and restart it before syncdb does anything. And then even after that, I am getting errors when trying to access the admin pages, it seems that certain new fields that I've added still don't show up in the model: Caught an exception while rendering: no such column: mySite_book.Title

  • Creating notes on facebook through FBConnect in iPhone application

    Hi All, I have tried FBConnect for iPhone and am able to create/manage sessions and upload pictures successfully. What I can't sort out is, how to create and edit notes. The Facebook documentation says that notes.create query takes three arguments:title, content and uid. It seems I am unable to form the right request for the required query. Please help me on this.   • Django site on Nginx+FastCGI goes (504 gateway timeout)

    Sometimes my whole Django based site goes into 504 gateway timeout errors so none page can be displayed. Is it possible to write a shell program and cronjob it run every 5 minutes to detect such errors and restart FastCGI process if needed? I'm currently using command below to restart FastCGI in case it's crashed but it doesn't work for above situation because when 504 gateway errors occur, the processes are still running. ps ax | grep -v grep | grep port=8001 > /dev/null || restart_fcgi.sh

  • Zend Mail - bouncing mails not returning to the specified "Return-Path"

    Hi, i'm working on a simple mail list app in PHP using Zend Mail. The idea is that all mail that bounce is redirected to a script which processes them and a report is generated. The script is running ok in direct tests, but I've testing it with fake mail address to test the mail list app, and it appears that the mail is not being redirected to the correct email address. Zend Mail provides the setReturnPath method to set the "Return-Path" header, it's ok to use this header for this purpose? Thanks

    Hello, I'm writing a standalone application and I thought using Entity Framework to store my data. At the moment the application is small so I can use a local database file to get started. The thing is that the local database file doesn't have the ability to auto generate integer primary keys as SQL Server does.   • Git sh.exe process forking issue on windows XP, slow?

    Git is essential to my workflow. I run MSYS Git on Windows XP on my quad core machine with 3GB of RAM, and normally it is responsive and zippy. Suddenly an issue has cropped up whereby it takes 30 seconds to run any command from the Git Bash command prompt, including ls or cd. Interestingly, from the bash prompt it looks likes ls runs fairly quickly, I can then see the output from ls, but it then takes ~30 seconds for the prompt to return. If I switch to the windows command prompt (by running cmd from the start menu) git related commands also take forever, even just to run. For example git status can take close to a minute before anything happens. Sometimes the processes simply don't finish. Note that I have "MSYS Git" installed as well as regular "MSYS" for things like MinGW and make. I believe the problem is related to sh.exe located in C:\Program Files\Git\bin. When I run ls from the bash prompt, or when I invoke git from the windows prompt, task manager shows up to four instances of sh.exe processes that come and go. Here I am waiting for ls to return and you can see the task manager has git.exe running and four instances of sh.exe: If I ctrl-c in the middle of an ls I sometimes get errors that include: sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable 0 [main] sh.exe" 1624 proc_subproc: Couldn't duplicate my handle<0x6FC> fo r pid 6052, Win32 error 5 sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable Or for git status: $ git status sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable Can I fix this so that git runs quickly again, and if so how? Things I have tried: Reboot Upgrade MSYS Git to most recent version & Reboot Upgrade MSYS to most recent version & Reboot Uninstall MSYS & uninstall and reinstall MSYS Git alone & Reboot I'd very much like to not wipe my box and reinstall Windows, but I will if I can't get this fixed. I can no longer code if it takes me 30 s to run git status or cd.
