    I am testing a highly-customized web application in Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8, since it is an up and coming release, and will likely be using my application some day. Take a look at this sample screenshot of some text input controls from the application: Is there a way, either within HTML or CSS, to remove the action icons that are located to the right of the text and password input controls, or is the an OS-specific feature that cannot be disabled?     I have Commenting system in my app. For a single video entry anyone can post a comment and someone else can post reply to that comment and replies, cannot have thier further reples, similar to StackOverflow is doing (1 Answer, and thier 1 or more replies). Often apps with ZF looks like that: root public index.php .htaccess application library I have sth. like that: root application index.php .htaccess All my code is in the application folder. But there are also some .ini and .xml files with sensitive information e.g. login names and passwords and so on... If I add a .htaccess in the application folder with deny from all is the information secure inside the folder?

    Hi everyone, I was wondering if converting POST input from an HTML form into html entities, (via the PHP function htmlentities() or using the FILTER_SANITIZE_SPECIAL_CHARS constant in tandem with the filter_input() PHP function ), will help defend against any attacks where a user attempts to insert any JavaScript code inside the form field or if there's any other PHP based function or tactic I should employ to create a safe HTML form experience?     In the intent of preventing XSS attacks, I am updating a page in which we have a textbox that accepts HTML, stores it in a database and retrieves and renders it at a later time. My understanding is that I can sanitize the HTML using AntiXSS.GetSafeHtmlFragment() method. As long as I do this before storing the HTML in the database, am I covered? Do I need to do anything when the HTML is outputted on a web page? Also, it appears that the white list is kind of a black box. Is there a way to update this based on our requirements?

    I'm extracting XML node from an XElement. When I use XElement.Value it strips any HTML that may be in the node. I know that if I do XElement.ToString() I can keep the HTML, but it also gives me the node tags. Is there any way to extract the content of a Node as is without the HTML being stripped out? Cheers.

    I've been trying to make this cross browser (specifically IE), but I do not want to use tables. I will not be able to specify the container width with CSS because its contents (the image) will dynamically change with Javascript, so I need the container to 'auto-size' horizontally. The desired effect would be a centered image with two sets of text (one of the left and one of the left) directly underneath the image, aligned to it's inner edges.   • html includes in a JSP using IIS/WebLogic

    I have my IIS 6 server setup to process server side includes, we're also using the WebLogic ISAPI plugin for IIS. I have a simple html file that I'm trying to include in the JSP using the following include: <!-- #include file="/pleaseWait/pleaseWait.html" --> When I use the above line in a JSP I get an error message saying: "pleaseWait is not defined". From an HTML file on the web server it works fine. The include works in the HTML whether I use file or virtual. I can't use the jsp @ include because that's resolved at build time and the HTML file does not exist in the Java project. It's static content so it's on the IIS server. In the past we've change the extension to .jsp and included the images and static content in the .war file....the problem with that is we now have 10 different versions of this code in our apps and not all of them look or function the same. This is an attempt to standardize and centralize the code for this feature across our apps. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Say I have a web site with a master page and an aspx page. In my ASPX page, I am pointing to my masterpage with the MasterType tag. <%@ MasterType VirtualPath="~/mymasterpage.master" % Say, I've defined a label in the markup of my master page. If you look at the designer code, this label should be something like this. protected global::System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label label1; Now in my content page, I would like to reference this label. If I type in this "Master.label1", the complier will complain that the control is inaccessible due to the protection level" and rightly so, as label1 is automatically defined as "protected". My question is, if I define controls in my markup page, is it possible to set these controls as public instead of protected? I do not see an attribute for it. thanks in advance.

    I am taking an XML document and creating a word document using XSLT and OpenXML. The problem is that when I create the word document, all of the HTML that is within the CDATA tags are not escaped and look like this: GET /recipe/recipe/cat.php/&gt;&quot;&gt;&lt;script&gt;alert(document.domain)&lt;/script&gt; I have tried defining "cdata-section-elements" in my xsl:output; however I receive an error stating that p tag doesn't match the w:t tag.(the p tag is apart of the CDATA HTML).
