  • Windows SBS 2003 Remote Desktop Problem

    Hi, I used to remote access the SBS 2003 server through RDC and it has been working all the time but now I am unable to connect to the server. Whenever I pressed the "Connect" button on the Remote Desktop Connection dialog, a dialog with messages like "Connecting to: xx.xx.xx.xx" and "Configuring remote session..." appeared and then disappeared quickly, leaving the Remote Desktop Connection dialog there. How to fix the problem? Is the any way to reinstall the Remote Desktop on the server. Thank you.

This is to support a scenario for customers where when they log out of an intenet kiosk machine the machine reboots.     I've just got a new laptop with Windows 7 x86 Home Premium installed, however I ideally I'd like to be running a 64-bit operating system: Is my Windows license key "generic" (in that it entitles me to install either a x86 or x64 edition of Windows), or does this licence key specific to the x86 version of Windows? Is there any way of me installing and running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 using my x86 license key?

I know how to enable it manually: Start Control Panel Programs And Features Turn Windows features on or off Check Telnet Client Hit OK BUT, how can I do this for all windows 7 users.   • Hook Windows Mobile 6.5 phone on/off button

    Hi everyone, recently this post inspired me, I want to track my own life, too. I take a look at my cellphone's clock every time when go to sleep or after wake up, so I need some program to hook to my cellphone's on/off button, and log the timestamp when I press it. I am using WM6.5 on a HTC TyTN II. If there is existing software that can do this with few settings and tweaks it would be nice, but I can also write code myself. Any suggestions?

  • GAE API to find where the app is running - local machine OR gae cloud

    Hi, I have a Google App engine application that I want to work differently depending upon if it is running in my local dev environment (i.e. with dev_appserver.py) as against running in actual GAE cloud. Currently I use a flag variable that I manually toggle to achieve that. But I am sure one day I will forget to change it and will lead to problem. So I would like to know if there is an API or some other way to figure out where the GAE app is actually running? Thanks.

    I'm developing a small pet project on Google App Engine and i would like to keep code under source control using github; this will allow a friend of mine to checkout and modify the sources. I just have a directory with all sources (call it PetProject) and Google App Engine development server points to that directory. Is it correct to create a repo directly from PetProject directory or is it preferable to create a second directory mirroring the develop PetProject directory? In the latter case, anytime my friend will release something new, i need to pull fetch from Git copying the modified files to the develop PetProject directory. If i decide to keep the repo inside the develop directory, skipping .git on Gae yaml is enough? What are the best practices here?

  • Goolge App Engine authorization with Google Apps Domain

    I have successfully followed the examples to gain an AuthSub token to authorize my application to have access to the user's Google Calendar. I have added the domain parameter to the method gdata.auth.generate_auth_sub_url so that the application is authenticated against a Google Apps Domain user. The app is then installed in one of our test domains. This is working fine, however, each user in the domain has to go through the authorization process. In other Marketplace Apps that I have tried, this authorization is done once for the whole domain when the app is installed. How is this achieved?

But the thing is I don't know how to do it with ConfigurationManager.     I am trying to test my application with in app purchases. I created features, test user, logged out from iTunes on the iPhone and used developer certificate. Load app from XCode in debug mode. When I click "Buy" button I pass all checks for internet availability, canMakePayments and call SKPayment *payment = [SKPayment paymentWithProductIdentifier:featureId]; [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] addPayment:payment]; But all what I see is a pending view and after some minutes it failed in - (void) failedTransaction: (SKPaymentTransaction *)transaction { if (transaction.error.code != SKErrorPaymentCancelled) { NSLog(@"failedTransaction"); } [[MKStoreManager sharedManager] paymentCanceled]; [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction: transaction]; } Please advice in what direction I should go to figure out the problem and what else I should check. P.S. All related questions on SO were checked with no luck.

  • Mixing static and dynamic endpoints in app.yaml file

    I'm trying to describe endpoints in my App Engine app and am having difficulty for directory structures that mix static and dynamic content. But my yaml rules are conflicting with one another. Before I change my directory structure, does anyone have a recommendation? The goal is to create a directory that contains both documentation (static html files) and implementations. /api - /v1 - getitdone.py - doc.html - index.html What I think I should be doing with my application yaml... - url: /api/v1/getitdone script: api/v1/getitdone.py - url: /api/ static_files: api/index.html upload: api/index.html - url: /api static_dir: api But this causes the dynamic endpoints to fail. I'm assuming the static_dir reference is breaking it. How can I do this without describing every script and static file reference (I have many more than are listed here)?

  • Google App Engine Python: get image upload size server-side

    I am building a Google App Engine App that lets users upload images; I have everything working fine, but I am struggling to find a way to ensure that the user does not upload an image too large (because I am resizing the images, so this crashes my python script). When a user uploads a large image, I get this error RequestTooLargeError: The request to API call images.Transform() was too large. I know that there is a size limitation on what GAE allows for it's image API, I am just trying to find a way to deal with this server side; something along the lines of if (image is too large): inform user else: proceed I haven't had any luck finding the right python code to do this; can anyone help me out?

    Hi, Has anybody managed to get Tomcat to run as a service on Win2008 64bit? I need it for a 3rd party component that my site relies on. It works fine otherwise, but I just can't get it to run as a service. I've tried all the googling I can, and experimented with various 64bit tomcat.exe / tomcatw.exe without success. Upgrading to Tomcat 6 didn't help either. I'm running Java 1.5 64bit.

I have tried using Rome and keep getting the following error (tried googling without success), also the code I am running that generates the error is the demo code (so I get the feeling Rome won't work with GAE) java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jdom/JDOMException at com.sun.syndication.io.SyndFeedOutput.<init>(SyndFeedOutput.java:44) What I am looking for is recommendations for a simple Java library to create and publish an Atom feed from within Google App Engine.     Im new to android and thought it would be fun to develop an app that goes out and checks woot.com. The idea I came up with is for the app to be a widget that refresh woot.com once a day and displays a picture of the item and price. If the widget is clicked on it would open the browser to woot.com.     I am currently in the planning stages of a game for google app engine, but cannot wrap my head around how I am going to handle AI. I intend to have persistant NPCs that will move about the map, but short of writing a program that generates the same XML requests I use to control player actions, than run it on another server I am stuck on how to do it. I have looked at the Task Queue feature, but due to long running processes not being an option on the App engine, I am a little stuck. I intend to run multiple server instances with 200+ persistant NPC entities that I will need to update. Most action is slowly roaming around based on player movements/concentrations, and attacking close range players...(you can probably guess the type of game im developing)

    I have an application that comes bundled with some content(say image, songs etc.). We want to have an in-app store, so that the user can buy contents and extend the experience. What are the different ways in which the above mentioned can be achieved? iPhone has Storekit framework that enables in-app purchases. So, our requirements wants us to follow the suit. Also, according to Android Markets(AM) distribution agreement, an Android application published via AM, is not allowed to accept payments from any Payment collectors other than the one Market provides and/or Google checkout. We have decided to integrate Paypal, now that they have published Mobile Payments Library to Android developers. If we do so, can we publish our application on Android Market?

    I recently installed Windows 8 from MSDN. I used to install Linux within Windows in my Windows operating systems. But when I tried to install my Ubuntu 10.10 with Wubi installer the option to install with wubi was disabled. Help me to install Ubuntu with Wubi installer on Windows 8 if Windows 8 supports it. If it does not, please recommend any other alternative to Wubi. I use Wubi mainly because I can easily remove the Linux operating system.
