  • jQuery UI - Accordion Display issues

    My accordion is working properly, but I'm having a few CSS and JS issues that are prohibiting it from displaying correctly. http://jsfiddle.net/frEWQ/ The JS is applying .ui-corners-all to the H3 before the "kwick" div below it has finished collapsing, giving an odd cut-off border during the animation The margin-bottom applied to the "kwick" div to give spacing between each tab disappears when the tab is set to display:none, getting rid of the spacing... but I can't apply the margin-bottom to the header because it disconnects the header from the "kwick" div below it. Any suggestions? Modification to the JS/CSS? Thanks

    Hi there, I was wondering if it's possible to create a HTML div container with some CSS magic that shows a horizontal scrollbar like the one with the screenshots on the iTunes preview on the web. I want this to work in Safari on the iPhone. e.g. http://itunes.apple.com/app/super-monkey-ball/id281966695?mt=8 I would like to use that to display thumbnails in an UIWebView on iPhone.     Consider these simple CSS rules: jsFiddle div#container { width: 50%; height: 260px; background-image: url('Image.png'); background-repeat: repeat-x; }? The problem is that I only want full images. If there is not enough space for another duplicate, it should NOT be shown. I've never heard that CSS provides a rule for it. So how can I achieve it in JavaScript (jQuery already included)?

    I have an application which uses a custom title bar. However, when my application launches, I noticed that the default title bar is shown for a brief period of time. My problem is I don't want to show the default title bar while my application is loading. How do I hide the title bar while my application is loading so that there will be no hint of it and then show it afterwards? So far, I tried the following solutions but none have worked: Hide the title bar in XML and then set the custom title bar in code. (Problem encountered: I received an error message saying: "You cannot combine custom titles with other title features".) In XML: <item name="android:windowNoTitle">true</item> In onCreate method: requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_CUSTOM_TITLE); //... some code goes here getWindow().setFeatureInt(Window.FEATURE_CUSTOM_TITLE, R.layout.title_header); Set the size of the title bar in XML to 0. Then change it's size via code later. (Problem encountered: I don't know how to set the size of title bar in code. Is it possible? I tried getWindow().setAttributes() and getWindow().setLayout() but both of them didn't worked.)"     Is there any way to vertically align an image element generated by a "content" property as part of a ":before" selector, next to adjacent inline text? In other words, I have <a href="..." class="facebook">Share on Facebook</a> As I don't want to pollute my markup with unnecessary IMG elements that only have to do with style, I resort to adding a small icon to the left of the link, via CSS (except that it does not align properly, hence the question): a.facebook:before { content: url(/style/facebook-logo.png); } I tried adding a "vertical-align: middle" (one of the most notoriously difficult aligning concepts to grasp in CSS, in my opinion, is that very property) but it has no effect. The logo aligns with text baseline, and I don't want to hardcode pixel offsets, because frankly text size differs from browser to browser, etc. Is there any solution for this? Thanks.

    Hi, I'm a desktop application developer, and I plan learning html5, but as it's not released, there is no (almost) published books and no too much infomation from beginners on the web... I fell I should start with html4 and the current web development skills. I think, I should start with html4, css and javascript... but there are so many technologies related that I get lost :D So, what current technologies will be sill used when html5 be released? I mean, what about "jquery" and "ajax"? I know they are javascript under the hood, but will they still make sense in the future? What would you recommend me considering that I have just a little bit of html knowlegde, almost null CSS and completely null in javascript? Thanks in advance.

So for that i tried to set the property of css - w.loadUrl("javascript:(function() {" + "document.getElementByTagName('html')[0].style.whiteSpace='nowrap';})"); but i am changing these properties by programming so it is not affecting the text content so please tell me how can i make the webpage text as wrapped if the checkbox is selected and it should not wrap if the checkbox is not selected,so please provide me any suggestion??     Left to right, Col1 id 560px wide with 10 px padding, middle column, 250px wide with 5px padding and Col3 (siderbar) is 200px wide with 3px padding. Background coloR, no matter text length in any column should stretch vertically equal. No javascript (jQuery workarounds) to make it work. It needs to be pure Semantic Markup with CSS. Each Column should have a nested column of color were content will go. Column 1 should be SEO prominant which means the highest nested column for Google and other Search Engines to crawl. I have used 'The Holy Grail" layout, articles at "A List Apart" and these solution are so convoluted that they push the main columns left and than the nested columns push them with padding back right. This is crazy! I try to adjust these examples, but they're not editable by just adjusting a width in the CSS or the padding, etc. Can you please help me?

I have the following css: #container { position: relative; width: 854px; height: 480px; background: #000; margin: auto; } #container li { position: relative; list-style: none; width: 201px; height: 110px; padding-left: 10px; padding-top:10px; padding-bottom:10px; overflow: hidden; float: left; z-index: 2; } The display is not what I expected obviously because I am defining everything in px (when I should have been using dip but css does not allow dip). How can I convert my px to something that is suitable for Android? Any suggestions?

What I would like is an extra arguement that would say: [pseudocode] if (linksRel == "lightbox1") { add stylesheet1 to this lightbox } else { add stylesheet2 to this lightbox } [/pseudocode] Currently, I have a page with a "colorbox.css" file attached and the" jquery.colorbox.js" file as well - But I want the JS file to import the required CSS dependant on what link was clicked...     Hey, all. I'm doing my own syntax highlighter for Javascript and CSS, and I've run into an issue with Internet Explorer (big surprise). I grab all the contents of a code.block tag (example below) using innerHTML, and .split("\n") that result to get each line by itself. This works wonderfully except in IE. I have tried using innerText and .split("\r\n") also without success. Can anyone recommend a solution?   • Creating a Better Tabbed Interface in Django

    I've been trying to create a tabbed interface using Django. The current effort (which works fine) is having each template have the header hard-coded in, with the selected tab given the "selected" CSS attribute. Of course, this is a massive violation of DRY and I'm looking to remedy it. My current idea is adding a jQuery script to the page that looks at all the tabs and sets one to "selected" if it's text matches the beginning of the title for the page. Is there a better way to do this without using JavaScript and just pure CSS?

    I have a regular input box (no onchange attribute). <input type="text" id="bar" name="bar" /> For some reason, IE6+ does returns [object], while FF and Chrome returns null. if ((elem.getAttributeNode('onchange')) != null) elem.onchange(); I did also try as: if (typeof(elem.onchange) !== 'undefined') elem.onchange(); What would be the proper cross-browser way to check if the element has the attribute?
