  • Hudson build on URL token

    - by Ritesh M Nayak
I configured a hudson instance and have created jobs. While creating builds, I was able to see this option "Trigger the build by accessing this URL + SecretTOKEN" option. Now, I am unable to see that for any new jobs I create. Am I missing some setting or a configuration? The only change I made was running the servlet container from Root to a regular user.

  • How can I coordinate code review tool and RCS (specifically git)

    - by Chris Nelson
We're committed to git for code management. We're trying to find a tool that will help us systematize code reviews. We're considering Gerrit and Code Collaborator but would welcome other suggestions. We're having a problem answering the question, "How do we know every commit was reviewed?" (Or "What commits have yet to be reviewed?") One answer would be to submit every commit or every push for review and track incomplete reviews in the review tool. I'm not entirely happy with relying on a another tool -- especially if it's not open source -- to tell us this. What seems to be a better answer is to rely on sign offs in git (e.g., "Signed-off-by: Chris Nelson") and use a hook in the review tool to sign off commits on behalf of the reviewer. And advantage of this is if we use some other review mechanism for some commits, we have just one place to look for results. One problem with this is that we can't require review before push because the review tool is unlikely to have access to the developer's private repository clone to add the sign-off. Any ideas on integrating code review with code management to achieve ease of use and high visibility of unreviewed changes?

  • CDOSYS and Unicode in the from field - vbScript.

    - by Simmo
I've got the code below, and I'm trying to set the from field to allow unicode. Currently in my email client I get "??". The subject line and any content shows the unicode correctly. And looking at the MSDN the property should be "urn:schemas:httpmail:from". Anyone solved this issue? Thanks M Dim AC_EMAIL : AC_EMAIL = "[email protected]" Dim AC_EMAIL_FROM : AC_EMAIL_FROM = "?? <[email protected]>" Dim strSubject : strSubject = """??"" testing testing" set oMessage = WScript.CreateObject("CDO.Message") With oMessage .BodyPart.charset = "utf-8" 'unicode-1-1-utf-8 .Fields("urn:schemas:httpmail:from") = AC_EMAIL_FROM .Fields("urn:schemas:httpmail:to") = AC_EMAIL .Fields("urn:schemas:httpmail:subject") = strSubject .Fields.Update .Send End With Set oMessage = Nothing

  • Creating new JCAPS eWays (like HL7, JMS, ...)

    - by Kevin
Hello, I'm wondering how, in JCAPS 6, we can create new eWays. By eWay, I mean the components like the existing HL7, JMS, File, eMails (ie, external applications) ... I am not sure about the exact name of these entites, "API oriented OTD", JBI, JCA. Basically, I would like to create an object that: - is part of the Connectivity Map - has properties (which can be overwritten in Glassfish) - can cooperate dynamically with my Collaborations (JCDs) Does anyone know how to create such objects? Thanks, Kevin

  • Watin from TeamCity not running as a Windows Service

    - by peter.swallow
I'm trying to run Watin from within a TeamCity build, using nUnit. All tests run fine locally. I know you cannot run the full Watin tests (i.e. POST) from TeamCity if it is running as a Windows Service. You must start the build agent from a .bat file. But, I don't want to have to login to the server for it to start. I've tried getting a Scheduled Task (in Windows Server 2008) to fire the agent.bat file on StartUp (not Login), but with no luck. Has anyone else got Watin/TeamCity running from a Scheduled Task? Thanks, Pete

  • Run unit tests in Jenkins / Hudson in automated fashion from dev to build server

    - by Kevin Donde
We are currently running a Jenkins (Hudson) CI server to build and package our .net web projects and database projects. Everything is working great but I want to start writing unit tests and then only passing the build if the unit tests pass. We are using the built in msbuild task to build the web project. With the following arguments ... MsBuild Version .NET 4.0 MsBuild Build File ./WebProjectFolder/WebProject.csproj Command Line Arguments ./target:Rebuild /p:Configuration=Release;DeployOnBuild=True;PackageLocation=".\obj\Release\WebProject.zip";PackageAsSingleFile=True We need to run automated tests over our code that run automatically when we build on our machines (post build event possibly) but also run when Jenkins does a build for that project. If you run it like this it doesn't build the unit tests project because the web project doesn't reference the test project. The test project would reference the web project but I'm pretty sure that would be butchering our automated builds as they exist primarily to build and package our deployments. Running these tests should be a step in that automated build and package process. Options ... Create two Jenkins jobs. one to run the tests ... if the tests pass another build is triggered which builds and packages the web project. Put the post build event on the test project. Build the solution instead of the project (make sure the solution contains the required tests) and put post build events on any test projects that would run the nunit console to run the tests. Then use the command line to copy all the required files from each of the bin and content directories into a package. Just build the test project in jenkins instead of the web project in jenkins. The test project would reference the web project (depending on what you're testing) and build it. Problems ... There's two jobs and not one. Two things to debug not one. One to see if the tests passed and one to build and compile the web project. The tests could pass but the build could fail if its something that isn't used by what you're testing ... This requires us to know exactly what goes into the build. Right now msbuild does it all for us. If you have multiple teams working on a project everytime an extra folder is created you have to worry about the possibly brittle command line statements. This seems like a corruption of our main purpose here. The tests should be a step in this process not the overriding most important thing in this process. I'm also not 100% sure that a triggered build is the same as a normal build does it do all the same things as a normal build. Move all the correct files in the same way move them all into the same directories etc. Initial problem. We want to run our tests whenever our main project is built. But adding a post build event to the web project that runs against the test project doesn't work because the web project doesn't reference the test project and won't trigger a build of this project. I could go on ... but that's enough ... We've spent about a week trying to make this work nicely but haven't succeeded. Feel free to edit this if you feel you can get a better response ...

  • Java mail encoding

    - by Argiropoulos Stavros

  • Magento - Integrating Wordpress into Magento for the homepage

    - by Nick
I currently have a Magento store where I'm using a CMS page as the homepage. I want to integrate my wordpress blog (hosted on the same server) into this CMS page. It would show the latest blog post and preferably have the comment function available on the front page. The first thing I considered was using the Wordpress Loop on the Magento CMS page, but it doesn't seem like it allows PHP. One other thought I had was to create the homepage using modules or blocks. To be honest, I've never created a module or block so I'm not all that familiar with what is involved. The CMS page that I had created is simply an image slider/carousel (nivo-slider) and some photos with links. None of the content actually needs to be done with CMS, it just needs to be presented within my Magento theme/framework. All homepage updates will be handled by myself, so I can bypass the CMS system all together and just update modules if it turns out that the modules solution will allow me to have both the Wordpress blog and nivo-slider on the same page. Any thoughts?

  • How can I setup Hudson to use the same repository for different projects and maintain separate chang

    - by Allen
I typically setup SVN to host 1 big project per repository but a lot of our infrastructure has changed and we now have one main SVN server that has a hierarchy like so Branches Tags Trunk Project1 files & folders Project2 files & folders Project3 files & folders Projects1,2, and 3 do not share anything amongst themselves, they are independent projects each with their own solution file to be built. I can setup projects in Hudson like so Repository Url: http://server/svn/MainRepository Local module directory (optional): /Trunk/Project1 And that will maintain a separate workspace for each project, but every time you commit to Project 2 or Project 3, a build gets kicked off in Hudson for every project based in that repository. Also, any commit made anywhere in the repository is pulled down and inserted into the Hudson changelog for all of them. I know the easiest solution would be to simply separate every project into its own repository. However, if I couldn't do that due to various reasons, is there a feasible way to achieve the functionality that having separate repositories gets me? I want commits to the sub folder of project 1 to only affect project 1. No other project's commits should cause project 1 to build and project 1's changelog in Hudson should only have commit notes from project 1.

  • How to integrate Purify into Hudson CI?

    - by Martin
Hello everybody! I have a Hudson CI system set up and for the moment it is used for building a project and running some unit tests. My next step is to integrate the memory leak detector Purify into the build cycle. Now I want to start the unit tests also inside purify and for this I have created a new batch task which runs following command: purify.exe /SaveTextData MyExecutable.exe --test TestLibrary.dll --output xml As I read in the Purify documentation the /SaveTextData option is used in order to run purify not in GUI mode. If I run this command on my local workstation in the command line it works perfectly. But in case it is started by Hudson, nothing happens. Unfortunetly there are no logs of purify... Has someone ever tried to start purify either by Hudson or any other CI system? Thanks in advance. Best regards Martin EDIT: I forgot to tell you, that I have Hudson running as master and slave on different computers. On the master I have configured a task which should start the unit tests within purify on the slave. I am running the slave via JNLP. EDIT 18.03.2010: Ok, so finally I am a bit closer the source of the problem. I have discovered, that running my unit tests in purify locally the log file EngineCmdLine.log contains three commands. I am starting purify with following command: purify.exe /SaveTextData TestRunnerConsoleWD.exe --test TestDemoWD.dll Output of EngineCmdLine.log when starting purify manually: File: D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TestRunnerConsoleWD.exe File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ws2_32.dll File: D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TestDemoWD.dll Output when starting via Hudson: File: D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TestRunnerConsoleWD.exe File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ws2_32.dll File: D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TestDemoWD.dll File: D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TestDemoWD.dll The error output of purify: Instrumenting: BtcTestDemoWD.dll 313856 bytes Purify: While processing file D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TESTFWWD.DLL: Error: Cannot replace file c:\Programme\IBM\RationalPurifyPlus\PurifyPlus\cache\BTCTESTFWWD$Purify_D_workspace_hudson_workspace_Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9.DLL. Is it in use? TESTFWWD.DLL 505344 bytes Unable to instrument D:\workspace\hudson\workspace\Purify_TestFW_CommonsCoreTest_Cpp_msvs9\TestDemoWD.dll (0x1) Question is, why is purify starting twice a command with the TestDemoWD.dll library?

  • Custom reports for Hudson CI

    - by Valera Kolupaev
Hello. My past CI experience is tightly coupled with CC.Net, but for sake of innovations I want to try Hudson server as CI Server. I wondering, is there a possibility to embed into build report custom reports, by transforming XSLT output of various tools that runs on CI? For example, I have hand-made IIS Log parser, that outputs XML, is it possible to include it's result into build log and fail build on certain condition?

  • Communicating between PHP and Java using ActiveMQ/Stomp

    - by scompt.com
Background I have two services that need to communicate with each other over a message queue. One is a legacy service written in PHP and the other is in Java. Sooner than later, the PHP service will be rewritten in Java. The current way they communicate with each other is to write to a shared database, which the other service polls. This is what I'm trying to get away from and replace with a message queue. Problem The communication I'm working on right now is from the PHP service to the Java service. It needs to send a relatively complex object (strings and and integers and lists and maps of strings and integers). Ideally, the solution would be workable in PHP and ideal in Java, as that's going to be the legacy of this project. Possible Solutions 1.

  • Problem with From field in contact form and mail() function

    - by Matthew
    I've got a contact form with 3 fields and a textarea... I use jQuery to validate it and then php to send emails. This contact form works fine but, when I receive an email, From field isn't correct. I'd like to want that From field shows text typed in the Name field of the contact form. Now I get a From field like this: <[email protected]> For example, if an user types "Matthew" in the name field, I'd like to want that this word "Matthew" appears in the From field. This is my code (XHTML, jQuery, PHP): <div id="contact"> <h3 id="formHeader">Send Us a Message!</h3> <form id="contactForm" method="post" action=""> <div id="risposta"></div> <!-- End Risposta Div --> <span>Name:</span> <input type="text" id="formName" value="" /><br /> <span>E-mail:</span> <input type="text" id="formEmail" value="" /><br /> <span>Subject:</span> <input type="text" id="formSubject" value="" /><br /> <span>Message:</span> <textarea id="formMessage" rows="9" cols="20"></textarea><br /> <input type="submit" id="formSend" value="Send" /> </form> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#formSend").click(function(){ var valid = ''; var nome = $("#formName").val(); var mail = $("#formEmail").val(); var oggetto = $("#formSubject").val(); var messaggio = $("#formMessage").val(); if (nome.length<1) { valid += '<span>Name field empty.</span><br />'; } if (!mail.match(/^([a-z0-9._-]+@[a-z0-9._-]+\.[a-z]{2,4}$)/i)) { valid += '<span>Email not valid or empty field.</span><br />'; } if (oggetto.length<1) { valid += '<span>Subject field empty.</span><br />'; } if (valid!='') { $("#risposta").fadeIn("slow"); $("#risposta").html("<span><b>Error:</b></span><br />"+valid); $("#risposta").css("background-color","#ffc0c0"); } else { var datastr ='nome=' + nome + '&mail=' + mail + '&oggetto=' + oggetto + '&messaggio=' + encodeURIComponent(messaggio); $("#risposta").css("display", "block"); $("#risposta").css("background-color","#FFFFA0"); $("#risposta").html("<span>Sending message...</span>"); $("#risposta").fadeIn("slow"); setTimeout("send('"+datastr+"')",2000); } return false; }); }); function send(datastr){ $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "contactForm.php", data: datastr, cache: false, success: function(html) { $("#risposta").fadeIn("slow"); $("#risposta").html('<span>Message successfully sent.</span>'); $("#risposta").css("background-color","#e1ffc0"); setTimeout('$("#risposta").fadeOut("slow")',2000); } }); } </script> <?php $mail = $_POST['mail']; $nome = $_POST['nome']; $oggetto = $_POST['oggetto']; $text = $_POST['messaggio']; $ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; $to = "[email protected]"; $message = $text."<br /><br />IP: ".$ip."<br />"; $headers = "From: $nome \n"; $headers .= "Reply-To: $mail \n"; $headers .= "MIME-Version: 1.0 \n"; $headers .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 \n"; mail($to, $oggetto, $message, $headers); ?>

  • authentication error while importing from netbeans to subversion

    - by SpikETidE
Hi Everyone.... I just began looking into source control.... And installed subversion from collabnet... I also use netbeans(6.8) to work with PHP... I have done the following steps I have installed subversion is c:\program files\collabnet\ and the root for the repositories in e:\svn_repository I then created a repository as e:\svn_repository\lemon I then edited the passwd file and added the user and password I then tried importing an existing project into the repository with the address - svn://localhost/lemon with the new user and password. After all this, i get the error "authentication failed"... I am pretty sure the authentication is correct... I tried importing the project with the address file:///E:/sv_repository/lemon with no authentication and it connected... But i got other guys who got to connect to this server through lan and svn:// protocol is the only option.... What am i doing wrong here..? Also.. where can i find a proper tutorial to connect netbeans and collabnet subversion.....? Thanks for your suggestions and time...

  • How do I get MSDeploy to skip specific folders and file types in folders as CCNet task

    - by Simon Martin
I want MSDeploy to skip specific folders and file types within other folders when using sync. Currently I'm using CCNet to call MSDeploy with the sync verb to take websites from a build to a staging server. Because there are files on the destination that are created by the application / user uploaded files etc, I need to exclude specific folders from being deleted on the destination. Also there are manifest files created by the site that need to remain on the destination. At the moment I've used -enableRule:DoNotDeleteRule but that leaves stale files on the destination. <exec> <executable>$(MsDeploy)</executable> <baseDirectory>$(ProjectsDirectory)$(projectName)$(ProjectsWorkingDirectory)\Website\</baseDirectory> <buildArgs>-verb:sync -source:iisApp="$(ProjectsDirectory)$(projectName)$(ProjectsWorkingDirectory)\Website\" -dest:iisApp="$(website)/$(websiteFolder)" -enableRule:DoNotDeleteRule</buildArgs> <buildTimeoutSeconds>600</buildTimeoutSeconds> <successExitCodes>0,1,2</successExitCodes> </exec> I have tried to use the skip operation but run into problems. Initially I dropped the DoNotDeleteRule and replaced it with (multiple) skip <exec> <executable>$(MsDeploy)</executable> <baseDirectory>$(ProjectsDirectory)$(projectName)$(ProjectsWorkingDirectory)\Website\</baseDirectory> <buildArgs>-verb:sync -source:iisApp="$(ProjectsDirectory)$(projectName)$(ProjectsWorkingDirectory)\Website\" -dest:iisApp="$(website)/$(websiteFolder)" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="assets" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="survey" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="completion/custom/complete*.aspx" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="completion/custom/surveylist*.manifest" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="content/scorecardsupport" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="Desktop/docs" -skip:objectName=dirPath,absolutePath="_TempImageFiles"</buildArgs> <buildTimeoutSeconds>600</buildTimeoutSeconds> <successExitCodes>0,1,2</successExitCodes> </exec> But this results in the following: Error: Source (iisApp) and destination (contentPath) are not compatible for the given operation. Error count: 1. So I changed from iisApp to contentPath and instead of dirPath, absolutePath just Directory like this: <exec> <executable>$(MsDeploy)</executable> <baseDirectory>$(ProjectsDirectory)$(projectName)$(ProjectsWorkingDirectory)\Website\</baseDirectory> <buildArgs>-verb:sync -source:contentPath="$(ProjectsDirectory)$(projectName)$(ProjectsWorkingDirectory)\Website\" -dest:contentPath="$(website)/$(websiteFolder)" -skip:Directory="assets" -skip:Directory="survey" -skip:Directory="content/scorecardsupport" -skip:Directory="Desktop/docs" -skip:Directory="_TempImageFiles"</buildArgs> <buildTimeoutSeconds>600</buildTimeoutSeconds> <successExitCodes>0,1,2</successExitCodes> </exec> and this gives me an error: Illegal characters in path: < buildresults Info: Adding MSDeploy.contentPath (MSDeploy.contentPath). Info: Adding contentPath (C:\WWWRoot\MySite -skip:Directory=assets -skip:Directory=survey -skip:Directory=content/scorecardsupport -skip:Directory=Desktop/docs -skip:Directory=_TempImageFiles). Info: Adding dirPath (C:\WWWRoot\MySite -skip:Directory=assets -skip:Directory=survey -skip:Directory=content/scorecardsupport -skip:Directory=Desktop/docs -skip:Directory=_TempImageFiles). < /buildresults < buildresults Error: Illegal characters in path. Error count: 1. < /buildresults So I need to know how to configure this task so the folders referenced do not have their contents deleted in a sync and that that *.manifest and *.aspx files in the completion/custom folders are also skipped.

  • Setting up DomainKeys/DKIM in a PHP-based SMTP client

    - by Alex
It looks like there are some great libraries out there to do DomainKeys signing of emails on C#/.NET, but I'm having a really hard time finding the same kind of support for PHP. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? The only one I found is http://php-dkim.sourceforge.net/; it looks incredibly hacky and supports PHP4 only. Considering how popular PHP is, and how critical DomainKeys are for email classification as non-spam, I'd expect better tools; do you know of any? Any other tricks you'd recommend?

  • Anyone have an XSL to convert Boost.Test XML logs to a presentable format?

    - by Stuart Lange
I have some C++ projects running through cruisecontrol.net. As a part of the build process, we compile and run Boost.Test unit test suites. I have these configured to dump XML log files. While the format is similar to JUnit/NUnit, it's not quite the same (and lacks some information), so cruisecontrol.net is unable to pick them up. I am wondering if anyone has created (or knows of) an existing XSL transform that will convert Boost.Test results to JUnit/NUnit format, or alternatively, directly to a presentable (html) format. Thanks!

  • Continuous builds and Agile vs commit often

    - by Mark Underwood
Hi All, I'm just doing some formal training in Agile at the moment and one question I have is about the value of Continuous Builds vs value of committing to the version control system often. My understanding with version control is that its better to commit often, because then you have history and the ability to go back to previous changes in a fine grained way. My understanding with Agile and continuous build is that its there to put pressure on the developers to always have working code. That to break the source tree is a taboo thing to do. Now i agree with both of these sentiments, but it occurs to be that sometimes these might be working against each other. You maybe in the middle of a largish code change and want to commit code to make sure you have history, but this will break the source tree. Anybody got any thoughts on this? Cheers Mark.
