• Script Editor in Snow Leopard painfully slow after adding apps to Library

  I have four different Macs that I use from time to time, and on each of them I notice a constant: adding more items to AppleScript Editor's Library window slows performance of mundane operations (opening a dictionary, switching between Library window and editor window, scrolling in the Library window, etc). In Leopard, I noticed little to no latency in opening a dictionary in Script Editor, but Snow Leopard's AppleScript Editor kills my productivity by making me wait on it with most UI interactions with the Library window.

  Is there a way to adjust the scaling of items on the screen in Mac OS X so they are 1 to 1 with the real world? I.E. When I'm working with a line in illustrator that is 5 inches long, and the zoom is 100%, I'd like the actual size of the line on screen to be 5 inches.   I'm trying to monitor CPU utilization of windows 7 32bit PC (C2D E8400) using zabbix. I tried both "perf_counter[\Processor Information(_Total)\% Processor Time]" and "system.cpu.util[,system,avg5]". After some time status of these items reverted itself to "Unsupported". Is this problem on agent side, or at server? How to fix it? Ideally I want to see percentages load per each core. UPD: topic and description updated.

I would like to install CentOS on different way: Create disk image (using dd command) Create filesystem on this disk image using mkfs.ext3 Install CentOS on this filesystem Make this disk image bootable (using grub-install) Copy the disk image to the physical hard disk (using dd command) I know to do all these items except 3. Is it possible to do it? If yes, how can I install CentOS on the disk image?

• Tomcat - Persistent Object

  I am running a servlet that recommends items based on a data model. The data model has to be loaded into an object from a database each time user makes a request to the sever and since the data is the same for all the users I would like this object to be loaded once only. • WebGL Not working in FF4b7 (with enabled_for_all_sites=true)

  I was trying to load the cool Kataspace WebGL demo (more info) and I get the error message "Your browser doesn't support WebGL. Currently we recommend the latest Firefox 4 Beta for all platforms." I checked around and every piece of advice I can find on the internet says to set webgl.enabled_for_all_sites to true in the about:config page. Mine is set to true yet I still receive the same message. Does anyone know of any other items that may be conflicting with WebGL running properly?

  The Windows 7 menu item highlight effect is quite subtle - on my machine, menu items go from light grey to having a light blue shading. This makes it quite hard to tell at a glance which exact menu item is highlighted at any one time. • How to show declined meeting on Outlook calendar

  I declined a recurring meeting invitation in Outlook 2007 to let the organizer know I am unable to attend, which will be true most of the time. But there will be rare occasions when I could attend so I would like to have this declined meeting show up on my calendar. Currently, it is sitting in my Deleted Items folder and I find no way to move/copy/transfer it to the calendar. • TempDB is Full Issue for SQL Server 2000

  Even though the log file shows that there is over 1 GB of free space, we start receiving an error message every 3 or 4 days saying that the TempDB file is full. I know cursors impact the TempDB file, but is there anything else I should be looking at to see why this keeps happening? I've tried running SQL Profiler, but when running it, it slowed down the DB so much that the users were experiencing timeouts. What specific items should I check for in SQL Profiler?
