• Git: Find duplicate blobs (files) in this tree

  This is sort of a follow-up to this question. If there are multiple blobs with the same contents, they are only stored once in the git repository because their SHA-1's will be identical. How would one go about finding all duplicate files for a given tree? Would you have to walk the tree and look for duplicate hashes, or does git provide backlinks from each blob to all files in a tree that reference it?

  In a spring mvc + spring core app, we have have a view layers, a facade, a service layer, a dao layer and a stored-proc based persistance layer. The service layer is unaware of the clients that utilitize its methods. Is it fine to propagate raw http requests into the service layer? Or is it bad practice and a violation of the loose coupling principles? If it is, then what's a clean workaround?

• SQL Server 2008 error message from store procedure

  Hello everyone, When we met with such error message from store procedure, Message 1205, Level 13, State 52, the process Pr_FooV2, Line 9 Services (Process ID 111) and another process is deadlock in the lock | communication buffer resources, and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. I am wondering whether such messages are stored in log files? I searched log folder of my SQL Server 2008 installation root (in my environment, it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log), but can not find such files. thanks in avdance, George

• ASP.NET MVC - Where do you put your .js files if you dont want to store them in /Scripts?

  I have a number of .js files that I would like to be stored in the same directories as their views (they're specific to a view - its simply to keep the javascript separate from the view's HTML) However, adding them to the /Views/ControllerName/ directory wont work because when a request is made to the webserver for the .js file: <script type="text/javascript" src="/Views/ControllerName/myscript.js"></script> It would essentially be directed at the 'Views' controller which obviously doesnt exist. • Air applicationUpdater: updates every run, should be once a day

  I use the applicationUpdater framework with an Air application. The delay property is set (in AS code) to 1 day. However, the application checks every time it is run: the delay property seems to be ignored.   With IOC I understand you can substitue implementations out by merely editing a configuration file etc. BUT, what happens when the classes are married to particular database tables and sprocs, you can't just swap out an implementation since the classes/entities are tied to particular tables and stored procedures. • How to build this encryption system that allows multiple users/objects.

  Hello! I am trying to figure out how to create an optimal solution for my project. I made this simple picture in Photoshop to try to illustrate the problem and how i want it (if possible). Illustrative image Ill also try to explain it based on the picture. First off we have a couple of objects to the left, these objects all get encrypted with their own encryption key (EKey on the picture) and then stored in the database. On the other side we have different users placed into roles (one user can be in a lot of roles) and the roles are associated with different objects. So one person only has access the to the objects that the role provides. So for instance Role A might have access to Object A and B. Role B have access only to Object C and Role C have access to all objects. Nothing strange in that, right? Different roles have different objects that they can access. Now to the problem part. Each user has to login with his/her username/password and then he/she gets access to the objects that his/her roles provide. All the objects are encrypted so she needs to get a decryption key somehow. I don't want to store the encryption key as a text string on the server. It should be, if possible, decrypted using the users password (along with the role) or similar. That way you have to be a user on the server in order to decrypt an object an to work with it. I was thinking about making a public/private key encryption system, but i am kinda stuck on how to give the different users the decryption key to the objects. Since i need to be able to move users to and from roles, add new users, add new roles and create/delete objects. There will be one administrator that then adds some data to allow the users in that role to get the decryption key to decrypt the object. Nothing is static and i am trying to get a picture of how this can be built or if there is a far better solution. The only criteria are: -Encrypted objects. -Decryption key should not be stored as text. -Different users have access to different objects. -Does NOT have to have roles.

  In the document, it mentions that we can have a dispatch interval such that page view will be automatically dispatched after x seconds. I have the code like the following tracker.startNewSession("UA-YOUR-ACCOUNT-HERE", 20, this); I sure trackPageView() is called as I can see those pageview are stored into "google_analytics.db" which is the database that google analyitcs used to store non-dispatching pageview. However, it doesn't send to Google Analytics after 20 seconds In log, it keeps reporting scheduling next dispatch when I call trackPageView().
