  • apache name virtual host - two domains and SSL

    I'm trying to setup Apache(2.2.3) to run two websites with SSL using both different domains and IP addresses. Both websites run fine on port 80 but when I tried to enable SSL for website2 I get a ssl_error_bad_cert_domain error; website2 picks up the SSL cert for website1.     Hello everyone, Lately I had to reinstall my development site on my ubuntu machine since my system crashed after an os update. 4 days later my site is still not running as it should. Whenever i do an action which has in it an action on a database, it stops working.     Hi all, I want to make sure I'm not crazy, because I can't get any of the effects demos to work on jQuery's demo pages. I thought it might be my new Firebug version (1.5.2) or Firefox in general, but they're not working in IE or Chrome either. Here are the links where the demos aren't working.     I have a website the contact form has been failing silently for two weeks (Wordpress + Contact form 7). Apparently updating to Contact Form 7 made the assigned email to fail [email protected], I also tested with [email protected] and it also failed until I tried with gmail and it finally worked. Apparently @telefonica.net and @me.com domains are not working with this version of the plugin, but I have to investigate the cause. I found the logs of the lost emails, but I would like to know If I can recover the sender or the content of the original messages.   • How do I set Internet Explorer 64-bit as my default browser?

    Windows Vista x64. It defaults to IE 32-bit, and will not allow me to set 64-bit as the default with the "Make Default" button. I'm currently forced to workaround by starting IE 64-bit manually, and leaving it up with an empty window. Then when links are fired from apps, they open in that 64-bit version. Problem being is that sometimes I forget and get a bunch of stuff opened in 32-bit without realizing it. Then I have to remember all the links I clicked, close ALL of them, open IE 64-bit, and put them all back in. Trying to avoid all that re-work when I forget to do the workaround. Unfortunately, all the forums I've googled that discuss this just have a bunch of people saying "don't do that" and "you don't want to do that". Yes, I do want to do this. The particular feature I use only works right in my 64-bit version, and I don't use 32-bit plugins. I fully understand the implications of what I'm doing. :-)

I could create a new vhost conf in vhosts.d called 000aaadefault.conf or something but that feels a bit nasty. I could have a <VirtualHost> block in my main httpd.conf before the vhosts.d directory is included. I could just specify a DocumentRoot in my main httpd.conf What about specifying a default vhost in httpd.conf with _default_ http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/vhosts/examples.html#default Would having a <VirtualHost _default_:*> block in my httpd.conf before I Include vhosts.d/*.conf be the best way for a catch-all?

    Hi all: I am not a pro in web development and Apache server still remains a mystery to me. we've got a project which runs on LAMP, pretty much like all the commercial hosting plans. I am confused about one problem : does modern browsers support image loading in parallel? or this requires some special feature/config set up from server side? Can this be done with PHP coding or by some server-side configuration? Is a special content delivery networking needed for this? The benchmark demonstration will be the flickr website. I am too suprised to see how all image thumbnails are loaded in a short time after a search as if there were only one image to load. My current User Agent is Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100106 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.7 I would like to make that more anonymous, however I still wanted to be counted as a Firefox and Ubuntu user. How can I change my User Agent in Firefox? What should I change it to so that it's less unique, but will be counted as a Firefox user and a Ubuntu user on web analytics software? I know that there is no guarantee that I will be counted a Firefox/Ubuntu user, just something that 'works most of the time' would be sufficent.

    Looking at the extensions gallery for Chromium there seems to be a number fo flash-blocking extensions available: A couple with very similar names even. I've been using ClicktoFlash in Safari and am used to it just flat out working everywhere. Unfortunately after using FlashBlock by Ruzanow for a bit I've noticed it gets a bit "Hinky" at times (blocking the flash by collapsing the div so you can't click to enable it, etc.) I have a feeling there may be some other extensions/scripts out there not listed above that are better. Ultimately I'd like to find a flash blocker that works as well as ClickToFlash does in Safari.

    I have the following CSS3 Animation going on: http://dabblet.com/gist/2884702. It's basically a simulation of a mirror rotating on its x-axis. Now, I wish to present that in a PowerPoint presentation. Since PowerPoint doesn't have the webkit engine, I want to extract an animated GIF image of that animation, and embed it into my presentation. The problem? No matter what I've tried, I couldn't make a reasonably smooth animated GIF. I've Googled and found many free software which claim to do the job, tried several, none worked as expected. I've tried IrfanView, same issue (also their site makes me want to vomit). So, is there a solution? Or am I doomed to not be able to display it?

    I've been having a complete nightmare trying to configure proftpd. I've got proftp server working with an sql database. However I want to have any files uploaded able to viewed by the webserver running on the same box.     I got some mod_rewrite conditions in a .htaccess file which I have extended from time to time.. But I don't think its very well written (I'm still quite new to mod_rewrite) Some times requests end up in infinite loops And just now I added SSL to the file..
