  Given is a database with locations, we feed those tho the google map api and all points are displayed. Now there is a list of this location right next to the google map. How can i link the places in the list to the dots on the map? Like this: http://www.local.ch/en/q/ubs.html I want to light up the point on the map on the list item hover and open the info-box by clicking on the list item. Can anyone point me into the right direction?

  I am looking for the easiest, simplest way to access web APIs that return either JSON or XML, with concurrent requests. For example, I would like to call the twitter search API and return 5 pages of results at the same time (5 requests). The results should ideally be integrated and returned in one array of hashes. I have about 15 APIs that I will be using, and already have code to access them individually (using simple a NET HTTP request) and parse them, but I need to make these requests concurrent in the easiest way possible. Additionally, any error handling for JSON/XML parsing is a bonus.

  I am fetching my data from google analytics core api. I came to know that we can fetch only 7 dimensions using api, But here I need to fetch more than 7 dimensions with correct metrics. Is there anyway (other than using paid google analytics) to fetch more than 7 dmensions with correct metrics from google analytics. We're using some asynchronous encryption and he is using the ruby OpenSSL bindings for that: key = OpenSSL::PKey::RSA.generate(4096) self.public_key = key.public_key self.private_key = key What I'm looking for is a simple API which is compatible to OpenSSL and runs on the JVM. I need it to create key-pairs and to encrypt and sign our payload. Do you have any suggestions?

  I have started a maven project trying to implement the MapReduce algorithm in java 1.5.0_14. I have chosen the 0.20.2 API hadoop version. In the pom.xml i'm using thus the following dependency: < dependency < groupId>org.apache.hadoop< /groupId> < artifactId>hadoop-core< /artifactId> < version>0.20.2< /version> < /dependency But when I'm using an import to the org.apache.hadoop classes, I get the following error: bad class file: ${HOME_DIR}\repository\org\apache\hadoop\hadoop-core\0.20.2\hadoop-core-0.20.2.jar(org/apache/hadoop/fs/Path.class) class file has wrong version 50.0, should be 49.0. Does someone know how can I solve this issue. Thanks.

  If I have a REST based service written in the Symfony [symfony-project.org] framework (i.e. PHP), is there any decent tools/frameworks out there that will parse my code and generate API documentation? The Java based framework enunciate has documentation capabilities similar to what I need, you can view an example of this here: http://enunciate.codehaus.org/wannabecool/step1/index.html. I understand the premise of REST based services are supposed to be self evident, however I was after something that would generate this documentation for me without the need to manually write up all my endpoints, supported formats, sample output etc. Thanks

• Java 7 API design best practice - return Array or return Collection

  I know this question has be asked before generic comes out. Array does win out a bit given Array enforces the return type, it's more type-safe. But now, with latest JDK 7, every time when I design this type of APIs: public String[] getElements(String type) vs public List<String> getElements(String type) I am always struggling to think of some good reasons to return A Collection over An Array or another way around. What's the best practice when it comes to the case of choosing String[] or List as the API's return type? Or it's courses for horses. I don't have a special case in my mind, I am more looking for a generic pros/cons comparison.

The website has no public API , hence the reason for the scrapper. • Symfony: Pre filtering submitted values before/after validation

  Hi All I've been scouring the net and i have found nothing! I am using symfonys form framework to build a simple 'Create' form. Validation is fine. However i'd like to pre-filter my submitted values, so adding ucfirst, strtoupper, and the like. I'm not sure if im missing something crucial here, but the way i see it is the only way to do this would be to create my own custom validators and utilizing the doClean method, which seems daft since i'd have hundreds of validators for each php function! Hope you guys can help, i've been crawling through source code, api's, numerous books and blogs and i haven't found a thing :( Either it's impossible, or it's really easy, i hope its the latter!

  I see plenty of tutorials and articles showing me how to make a simple windows program, which is great but none of them show me how to make multiple windows. Right now I have working code that creates and draws a layered window and I can blit stuff using GDI to draw anything I want on it, drag it around, even make it transparent, etc. But I wanted a second rectangular area that I can draw to, drag around, etc. In other words, a second window. Probably want it to be a child window. Question is, how do I make it? Also, if anybody knows any good resources (online preferably) like articles or tutorials for window management in the Windows API, please share.

Which service can i use that can be integrated into my app ? Options I considered: dropbox is ideal, but they have all but abandoned the desktop. skydrive has no api.   I want to use Originate API of Asterisk to place an outbound call on a FXO channel, for testing purpose I am using X100P card and, as expected, card is not able to detect if the number is busy/ringing or when it is answered. I want to know which card should I use so that I can get such basic events ... I am not really interested in detailed call progress analysis for answering machine or live voice.   Hey Guys, I'm just beginning to play with the Twitter Streaming API. If I specify $sc-setTrack(array('just bought from')); This will correctly pull only tweets that have all 3 keywords - but doesn't maintain the order. 1) I want the keywords to appear in the same order like "I just bought apple from itunes" but the above also returns tweets like "I bought some apples and just removed them from the bag" 2) Is there a way to specify the exact words say "NBA basketball" with nothing in between - in the sense I dont want tweets like this to be returned Watching basketball on NBA tv I just want tweets which contain the exact phrase to be returned like I love watching NBA basketball 3) Also is there a way to specify negative keywords Any tips if this is possible.   Hi May I know whether it's possible to extract note onset and other musical details (e.g. pitch, note duration) form polyphonic MIDI(i.e. either multiples notes played from treble and bass voices, or chords) using the jMusic API? It has a method to extract note onset - but it returns zero each time for a given note. However extracting pitch and duration for monophonic (i.e. single note) MIDI using jMusic is possible. But when there exist chords it only captures a single note of the chord, and note onset returns zero each time. Is there a way I can resolve this? Appreciate any insight asap. Thanks in advance

• Graphical Submit button doesn't 'post' in Firefox or IE

  I've looked all over the net to try and solve this problem, but I can't find any solutions. So far, I've checked 3 different browsers. It does not work on IE or FireFox, but it works just fine in Safari. Here's the problem. When I click the button to submit my form, it forwards me to the 'post' URL page - INSTEAD of posting the data, and going to the thank you page like the script commands.   It would seem there is precious little documentation on programming against a TFS 2010 instance. What bits I have found, have next to nothing in the case of documentation beyond barebones listing of client access classes and their members, most likely autogenerated from the code comments. As I'm interested in building a silverlight client against TFS, I will need access to server side API (ideally the silverlight app will talk to my server (mainly for work items) and my server will in turn talk to the TFS server for the goods. Where is the doumentation (if any) for this kind of TFS integration?
