  • Kohana controller shows blank page if missing URI segment/argument

    When accessing http://www.nowplayingnashville.com/event2/detail/440698386/Whatever the controller shows normally. But when omitting the last parameter (event's title, which can be any string), http://www.nowplayingnashville.com/event2/detail/440698386/ It shows blank. I added a default value and tried to hardcode the title on the first line of the controller, but it doesn't work anyway. It looks like a view issue, because I can add an echo at the end of the controller and it gets printed, so the controller is executing to the end, but the views aren't displayed. This problem is present on the live site, but I checked out the code on my local machine and it works perfectly without a title. That's strange. Could it be a Kohana or Apache configuration issue?

    I have a report (Reporting Services) integrated into an ASP.NET that shows dropdownlists to select report parameter values. The dropdownlists are populated using direct database selects, though I see the report RDL files do contain the paramter values and datasets as defined in the report designer. Is it possible to obtain the report parameters "available values" in ASP.NET to populate the dropdownlists? This would avoid some code duplication. Update If the parameter doesn't use a query for available values, the following works: foreach (ValidValue value in this.ReportViewerControl.ServerReport.GetParameters()["myParameter"].ValidValues) { this.DropDownListControl.Items.Add(new ListItem(value.Label, value.Value)); } Still haven't found a way to access report datasets though...

    Hi, I am trying to move content in a pdf document using pdfSharp. We have a number of documents that are the same size i.e. 488x320mm, the content within these documents is always positioned relative to the top right of the document but varies in size i.e. 210x330mm, 240x350mm etc. What i need to do is 'find' the content block and move it from its current position to the centre of the sheet.   • Unstyled web page in IE6. Not FOUC

    I have a very interesting issue with one of the websites I created. It renders fine in Safari, Chrome, Opera, FF, IE7&8 but IE6 does not seem to recognize my stylesheet. I'm not using @import for loading, so it's not a case a FOUC. The website is using Wordpress but never had an issue like this before with WP.     I'm trying to detect whether an image exists on a remote server. However, I've tried several methods and can't get any of them to work. Right now I'm trying to use this: if (!CheckImageExists("http://img2.netcarshow.com/ABT-Audi_R8_2008_1024x768_wallpaper_01.jpg")) { print_r("DOES NOT EXIST"); } else { print_r("DOES EXIST"); }; function CheckImageExists($imgUrl) { if (fopen($imgUrl, "r")) { return true; } else { return false; }; }; But it returns 'true' whether the image actually exists or not (the above image should, but change it to gibberish and it still will return 'true'). I have a feeling it could be because if the URL does not exist, it redirects to the homepage of the site. But I don't know how to detect that. Thanks for any help!

  • Why does jquery button take a second to refresh after updating a page using ajax

    when i refresh a part of a webpage that has a jquery ui button, it seems like I have to call: $(":button").button(); again or it shows up as a regular button. Thats fine but when i do this, it still shows up as a regular button for a split second before converting to the styling of the jquery theme. is there anyway to avoid this as it looks a bit messy. NOTE: i noticed that this is for anything that i am theming using jquery ui like autocomplete, button, etc. so its not button specific issue.

    Suppose an example. I have following interface: public interface DataSource<T> { Future<T> fetch(); } This datasource can do asynchronous data fetching. And we have following tag for using datasource in JSP: <html> <d:fetch from="${orderDS}" var="orders"> <c:foreach in="${orders}" var="order"> <div class="order"> <c:out value="${order.title}" /> </div> </c:foreach> </d:fetch> </html> So, what I want? I want JSP rendering engine to call my custom tag (FetchTag in this example) twice. On first call FetchTag will do DataSource.fetch() call and save Future locally as a object field. On second call FetchTag do Future.get() call and will be blocked until data becomes available. Is there any way to do such a thing?

  • facebook graph api does not return all feed items on facebook page

    at the time of this question, if you go here: http://www.facebook.com/realplayer you'll see six posts down, I have posted a photo with a message of "#highfive Cincinnati, OH" but if you to either of these: http://graph.facebook.com/realplayer/feed http://graph.facebook.com/realplayer/tagged the JSON that is returned seemingly includes everything on the wall, except for MY post. there is another photo post from someone else down below mine, and it is showing up (and both my photo and his photo are in the "Fan photos" section) obviously, since I can see everything with these links already, it appears that access_token is not a part of the equation... BUT, some more info: if I use an access_token from a session that isn't me, I can't see the post in the JSON if I use an access_token from MY logged in session, then I DO see the post in the JSON so I'm very confused. if everyone in the world can see those posts on the wall without even authenticating, then I expect all of them to come back in the graph api as well. anyone have thoughts on this? I am aware of the "manage_page" permission... which I can use to get a list of accounts and special offline access tokens for those pages... and that's something I can explore... but it seems like alot of work when my post seemingly SHOULD be there in the graph
