  Can anyone point me towards some good documentation / code examples on how best to manage the configuration of a DI container in a scenario where you need different configuations sets? We have a layered, distributed application that has multiple entry points (ie; a website, winforms app, office plugin etc). Depending on how you are using the solution (through a UI vs. an automated workflow for example), it needs to be configured slightly differently. We are using Windsor, and it's fluent configuration capabilities.

  I need to have a server on one machine that broadcasts a message sever second or so, Kind of like a service discovery. The message needs to be received by multiple client processes that could be on the same machine or different machines. Im using delphi7, with indy 9.0.18 where im stuck is if i should be using UDP or IP MultiCast or if its even possible... Ive managed to get it to work with IP Multi Cast with one client per machine, but even after many trys with different bindings.. max/min ports etc, i cant seem to find a solution.

  I have a custom jQuery plugin which binds a change event to a form element, in this case some input elements. The change event is used to indicate to some other components that a change has taken place. This works as it should. However, I've come across the need to bind an additional change event to the same input elements -- so that additional components can act on the event. I don't wish to replace the plugin's change, simply run an additional function afterwards. Is there any way to bind multiple events in jQuery, or, what is the best method for accomplishing this?

  Say I want to model a system where a piece of data can have multiple tags (e.g. a question on a StackOverflow is the data, it's set of tags are the tags). I can model this in Django with the following: class Tag(models.Model): name = models.CharField(10) class Data(models.Model): tags = models.ManyToManyField(Tag) Given a set of strings, what's the best way to go about finding all Data objects that have one of these strings as the name of a tag in their tag list. I've come up with the following, but can't help thinking there is a more "Djangonic" way. I am able to pass one parameter by implementing the ITransformableFilterValues interface in the custom webpart , what I want to do is pass more than one parameter . Ex: If there are 2 parameters on report then i should able to map each from the control in webpart. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

  Hi, I have a set of training data consisting of 20 multiple choice questions (A/B/C/D) answered by a hundred respondents. The answers are purely categorical and cannot be scaled to numerical values. 50 of these respondents were selected for free product trial. The selection process is not known. What interesting knowledge can be mined from this information? The following is a list of what I have come up with so far- A study of percentages (Example - Percentage of people who answered B on Qs.5 and got selected for free product trial) Conditional probabilities (Example - What is the probability that a person will get selected for free product trial given that he answered B on Qs.5) Naive Bayesian classifier (This can be used to predict whether a person will be selected or not for a given set of values for any subset of questions). Can you think of any other interesting analysis or data-mining activities that can be performed? The usual suspects like correlation can be eliminated as the response is not quantifiable/scoreable. Is my approach correct?

  On the select event of the datepicker I need to add and set values in multiple rows. In other words, I have something like this... Days Value Row 1 1 Row 2 2 Row 3 3 I have the "Days" and "Value" columns as textboxes. When I select a date from the datepicker I need to add the "Days" value for each row to the date selected. That value is what goes into the "Value" column. Example, I select 4/20/2010. The value in each respective row would then be 4/21/2010, 4/22/2010, 4/23/2010. Hopefully this makes sense and thank you for the help in advance.

  I've got a custom javascript autocomplete script that hits the server with multiple asynchronous ajax requests. (Everytime a key gets pressed.) I've noticed that sometimes an earlier ajax request will be returned after a later requests, which messes things up. The way I handle this now is I have a counter that increments for each ajax request. Requests that come back with a lower count get ignored. I'm wondering: Is this proper? Or is there a better way of dealing with this issue? Thanks in advance, Travis

  This question is generally phrased as "How to share cookies across multiple subdomains" and the answer is generally to use the leading dot like so setcookie( 'id', 0, time()+30*3600, '/', '.example.com' ); which means that the cookie is available to all subdomains of example.com. However, the / path I suspect adds the constraint that all subdomains must be physically under the same tree. The PHP documentation states path The path on the server in which the cookie will be available on. If set to '/', the cookie will be available within the entire domain. If set to '/foo/', the cookie will only be available within the /foo/ directory and all sub-directories such as /foo/bar/ of domain. The default value is the current directory that the cookie is being set in. Is it possible to share cookies if one has two (Apache) Virtual Hosts set up with document roots at, for example www.one.example.com ? /var/www/example1 www.two.example.com ? /var/www/example2

• CUDA: How to reuse kernels in multiple files (for unit testing)

  How can I go about reusing the same kernel without getting fatal linking errors due to defining the symbol multiple times In Visual Studio I get "fatal error LNK1169: one or more multiply defined symbols found" My current structure is as follows: Interface.h has an extern interface to a C function: myCfunction() (ala the C++ integration SDK example) Kernel.cu contains the actual __global__ kernels and is NOT included in the build: __global__ my_kernel() Wrapper.cu inlcudes Kernel.cu and Interface.h and calls my_kernel<<<...>>> This all works fine. But if I add another C function in another file which also includes Kernel.cu and uses those kernels, I get the errors. So how can I reuse the kernels in Kernel.cu among many C functions in different files. The purpose of this by the way is unit testing, and integrating my kernels with CPP unit, if there is no way to reuse kernels (there must be!) then other suggestions for unit testing kernels within my existing CPP unit framework would be appreciate.   I want to test across multiple sessions using webrat in merb. Apparently, this is fairly easy to accomodate in Rails via: http://erikonrails.snowedin.net/?p=159. Following the same logic, I am trying to do something that follows that pattern for merb and webrat. Here is an attempt (which does not work because MerbAdapter does not respond to visit and other webrat session methods; I don't want to take too much more time with this so I have stopped here for now): # defined in test.rb environment file module Merb #:nodoc: module Test #:nodoc: module RequestHelper #:nodoc: def in_a_separate_session old = @_webrat_session.response.clone @_webrat_session = Webrat::MerbAdapter.new yield @_webrat_session.response = old end end end end I tried a few other ideas, but obviously I am missing something. Anyone else know how this would be done in merb? I think I could specify a cookie jar using the request mock, but I prefer to do this with webrat.

I have a submit button which should fetches all the values of the text boxes(say 10 textboxes) generated with the name of "entry". It works for one textbox but not for multiple. In php we can create dynamix textboxes mentioning as an array name=entry[]. Do we have similar functionality in python ? Enviroment : FC10 , Glade 3 , Python 2.5 , GTK.

What I can't determine is how to define multiple privileges for a single page. Use case: A page that is for managing users. I want to display that page (in navigation) if the current signed in user's role has add, edit, or delete privileges on the Users resource.   I'm trying to speed up my code and the bottleneck seems to be the individual insert statements to a Jet MDB from outside Access via ODBC. I need to insert 100 rows at a time and have to repeat that many times. It is possible to insert multiple rows in a table with SQL code? Here is some stuff that I tried but neither of them worked. Any suggestions? • What's the best way to create a Windows Mobile application with multiple screens in C#

  I am creating a Windows Mobile Application in C# and Visual Studio 2008. The application will have 5-6 main 'screens'. There will also be bar (/area) with information (e.g. a title, whether the app is busy, etc) above the screens, and a toolbar (or similar control) below the screens with 5-6 buttons (with images) to change the active screen (i.e. the screens will share the top bar and toolbar) What is the best way to implement this? Use multiple forms, and just include the toolbar and top-bar in each Use a single form and something like the Tab control (but customised) to contain the screens Something else? Keeping in mind a) memory usage and b) time to switch screens. Thanks in advance. Any links, pointers etc are much appreciated.

It has to do with the way the shared Resources files on the Web project are linked to from my new SL client project (the SL client project that was generated by the Business App template works fine). The same problem was brought up in the SL forums but copying the Web folder from my existing SL client doesn't seem to work. How can I add a second SL client project using RIA services to the solution of an existing SL Business Application without these problems over shared resources? Should I avoid the Business Application solution template for solutions with multiple SL clients since it seems to presume only a single client app will be sharing the resource files?

• How to create multiple SOAP webservice clients in same netbeans 6.8 project

  I have a project that is largely just to help one application make connections to an SAP server, for real-time updates. So the first web service client works fine, but I try to create a second and it seems to hang and I expect part of the problem is that it is trying to create a new Service class, but the namespace for all the webservices are identical, but the wsdl is obviously different, so it can't create the client. I can do it manually, by just having Service1, Service2, etc, or making some other change, but the issue is that Netbeans should be able to do this easily. I can't use Eclipse as the wsimport parameters that Netbeans uses works, in Eclipse I would need to do too much to make it work, so I will go with the easier tool. I don't want to create a new project for each webservice, as that just seems to be perpetuating a design error. So, how can I easily create multiple webservice clients that will all have the same target namespace, using Netbeans 6.8+?

  Hi all, I currently have an SQL query which is currently called multiple times like this (pseudo code): foreach(KeyValuePair kvp in someMapList) { select col1 from table where col2 = kvp.key and col3 = kvp.value; //do some processing on the returned value } The above could obviously call the database a large number of times if it is a big list of pairs. Can anyone think of a more efficient piece of SQL which could essentially return a list of specific values based on a list of two unique pieces of information so that the processing can be done in bulk? One obvious one would be to build up a big piece of SQL with ORs but this would probably be quite inefficient? Thanks Carl

  Hi Guys, I need suggestions with regards to the multiple file upload using File Upload control in asp.net(along with C#). I have a File Upload Control, so i click the 'Browse' button and when i select a file from the select file dialog, i want the file to be shown as a link below the File Upload Control( somewhat similar to gmail). This file should be seen such a way that it can be deleted, if i wanted to. And also i should be able to upload another file from the File Upload control. All these files should be uploaded to a location when i use a button click event in the end. I think i have made myself clear. Any Suggestions are really helpful. Thanks.

  I have a table view controller with multiple UISwitch controls in them. I set the delegate to the table view controller with the same action for all switches. I need to be able to determine what switch was changed, so I create an array of strings that contains the name of each switch. The indexes in the array will be put in the tag property of each UISwitch. However, I'm ready using the tag property for something else, namely to find the right control in the cell in cellForRowAtIndexPath with viewWithTag! (There are several things I need to set within each cell.) So, am I thinking along the right lines here? I feel I'm rather limited in how I find out exactly which UISwitch changed its value, so I can do something useful with it.

  Just learning how Open-ESB (GlassFishESB) works and evaluating it for a project. One point I do not understand is that if I have a Composite application bound to an incoming web service (hosted on the glassfish server) can I get muple composite applications to consume this message ? If so is it done by A) simply deploying the multiple composite applications each referencing the save URL and same WSDL B) include each JBI module in the CASA editor and deploy a single composite application with all parts included (will this reduce scaling?) C) create a new composite application which has a BPEL process to send the in message to new endpoints for each compisite applciation . My feeling is that option A should work?

• Facebook Iframe App with multiple pages in Safari

  I have a facebook Iframe application with multiple PHP pages in it. I have some links that point relatively to the files inside my "iframe folder". This works just fine In FFox, IE and Chrome. The problem here is that in Safari the links are not working at all. What happens when you click on a link is that the whole page (parent AND iframe) gets loaded inside the iframe. Anyone has any Idea why this could be happening? Thanks in advance!
