  • Best practices and Design Patterns for iPhone forms?

    Part of the app I'm making requires the user to fill in a multi-page form, the contents of which will be saved locally (perhaps using Core Data). Are there any best practices for this? This form just includes text fields. I guess the options are UITextFields, or perhaps a UIWebView, with the fields as part of an html form? Are there are any best practices, or design patterns, which are good for this kind of thing?

    Could someone write down a very simple basic example in javascript to conceptualize (and hopefully make me understand) how the jQuery plugin design pattern is done and how it works? I'm not interested in how creating plugin for jQuery (so no jQuery code here at all). I'm interested in a simple explanation (maybe with a bit of Javascript code) to explain how it is done the plugin concept. Plz do not reply me to go and read jQuery code, I tried, but I it's too complex, otherwise I would have not post a question here.

    Hey im new to database design and having trouble trying to figure this one out. I have two tables Team and Fixtures. Team has rows of football teams and Fixture has 2 of those football teams in each row (home and away team). I want to link team id to home_team and away_team but it doesnt allow me to.     This question asks about the ergonomics of a particular keyboard for long programming hours, what I would like to know is about the ergonomics of using a keyboard in general. What are the most significant risks associated with it and how can they best be mitigated? Do the "ergonomic" keyboard designs make a difference and if so which design is most effective? If not do other factors such as wrist-rests, regular exercise or having a suitable height of chair or desk make a difference? Do you have any direct experience of problems deriving from keyboard use and if so how did you resolve them? Is there any good science on this and if so what does it indicate? Edited to add: Wikipedia suggests that there are no proven advantages to "ergonomic" keyboards, but their citation seems pretty old- is that still the current state of play?

    Recently I was studying responsive design a lot and designed couple of sites. But i was wondering how would I use google adsense (which is pixel based) ads on my responsive design? Very typical example is suppose I have a 728x90 ads on header. Or if i do a mobile first approach i would need different versions of ad sizes for different view posts but google doesn't allow more than three ad unit per page (as far as i know).
