  • Authenticate Teamcity against LDAP using StartTLS

    I am running a 6.5 version of Teamcity on a Debian Squeeze server and I use OpenLDAP to authenticate users. I know I can use LDAPS to be able to use encrypted password authentication, however this has been deprecated by the OpenLDAP developers, see: http://www.openldap.org/faq/data/cache/605.html I would like to know if there is a way to configure LDAP authentication in Teamcity to use StartTLS on port 389.   • How do I remotely deploy a software package on Linux system?

    I have outlook 2007 installed (12.0.6514.5000) on my work computer. I just installed Bowie to allow integration with outlook and TFS. Most of the features for that plugin are based on the Ribbon. But I don't have the ribbon. I have the old menu and toolbar structure. How do I switch to the ribbon view?

  • Addons which actually make Firefox run faster?

    I would like to know of addons which actually enhance firefox's performance, both intentionally and unintentionally. I find that firefox tends to have major performance issues with certain websites. These websites tend to have a fair amount of javascript and css, and probably a large dom tree which may even be growing dynamically through javascript too. The worse offenders are those with heavy javascript, use heavy facebook integration, websites with non performant javascript, excessive javascript and websites with too many advertisements.

    I've installed Ubuntu Server under Virtualbox just to get a nice little shell. I've also installed the VirtualBox "Guest Additions" and set "Shared Clipboard: Bidirectional". I still can't seem to get any copy-paste working. Am I missing something here? I've installed gpm which gives mouse support in server mode (no X), and allows copy-paste using the mouse, but still the VirtualBox integration doesn't work.

  • ContentAssist delay on editors for Eclipse?

    When using the Java Editor for Eclipse, one can set the ContentAssist delay to 0 seconds (in the Java Editor ContentAssist options). In other language editors, e.g EPIC (Perl Integration), this option isn't offered. However I guess that for all languages editors there is a configuration file where one can change this correctly, which is the same as for the Java Editor. So, where is the configuration file for the Eclipse Java Editor concerning the ContentAssist stuff? Thanks :-)

  • Recommended Practices for Managing httpd.conf for different environments

    We have several different environments (developer dekstop, integration, QA, prod) which should have slightly different variants of the same httpd.conf file. As an example, the httpd.conf file configures that httpd should act as a reverse proxy and proxy certain URLs to Jetty, but the hostname of the Jetty instance is different in each environment. Is there a recommended practice for mangaging these kinds of differences? I looked around the apache documentation for the httpd.conf file and I didn't see anything that does what I need.

    I do have a third party product (Jira) that has Active Directory integration via LDAP. I want to enable Jira administrators to edit group memberships and have them syncronized inside Active Directory. This currently works but I needed to use a Domain Administrator service account in order to do this. The question is how can I do this without giving the entire Domain Administrator permission to the service account.

    Hi guys, What are the advantages of migrating a Flex 3 app (Java backend, BlazeDS, Spring, Hibernate) to Flex 4? One of the biggest advantages of Flex 4 is design. Assuming that design / UI isn't a big driver for the business right now as compared to performance, what are the other factors we can highlight?     I'm trying to write a custom servlet (for AJAX/JSON) in which I would like to reference my @ManagedBeans by name. I'm hoping to map: http://host/app/myBean/myProperty to: @ManagedBean(name="myBean") public class MyBean { public String getMyProperty(); } Is it possible to load a bean by name from a regular servlet? Is there a JSF servlet or helper I could use for it? I seem to be spoilt by Spring in which all this is too obvious.

  • RTS AI: where to start?

    I'd like to begin tinkering around with an RTS AI, but I'm having trouble finding a good environment to work with, ie a game that has been already created. I have looked at Spring RTS and Bos Wars, but they don't seem to be conducive to creating simple examples. I am not totally opposed to writing my own game environment, it would just take a long time. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get my feet wet without programming my own game?
