  • css displaying divs inside a Tr fine in FireFox, but IE increases the width of the row...

    I'm having some difficulty figuring out what is going on and how to fix it. I have some divs that contain some icons that are causing a width problem when displaying tabular data. If I remove the div's that contain the icons, the row width ends up the way I want it (See the firefox example below).     Coders, I am building a VS 2010 extension and I am experimenting around some of the samples that came with the VS 2010 SDK. One of the sample projects is called TextAdornment. Now my question is the following: what makes this class being the first class to get called when VS starts? In other words, why this class gets active and it runs as of some code instantiate an object of this class type?   • JavaMail not sending Subject or From under jetty:run-war

    Has anyone seen JavaMail not sending proper MimeMessages to an SMTP server, depending on how the JVM in started? At the end of the day, I can't send JavaMail SMTP messages with Subject: or From: fields, and it appears other headers are missing, only when running the app as a war. The web project is built with Maven and I'm testing sending JavaMail using a browser and a simple mail.jsp to debug and see different behavior when launching the app with: 1) mvn jetty:run (mail sends fine, with proper Subject and From fields) 2) mvn jetty:run-war (mail sends fine, but missing Subject, From, and other fields) I've meticulously run diff on the (verbose) Maven debug output (-X), and there are zero differences in the runtime dependencies between the two. I've also compared System properties, and they are identical. Something else is happening the jetty:run-war case that changes the way JavaMail behaves. What other stones need turning? Curiously, I've tried a debugger in both situations and found that the javax.mail.internet.MimeMessage instance is getting created differently. The webapp is using Spring to send email picked off of an Apache ActiveMQ queue. When running the app as mvn jetty:run the MimeMessage.contentStream variable is used for message content. When running as mvn jetty:run-war, the MimeMessage.content variable is used for the message contents, and the content = ASCIIUtility.getBytes(is); call removes all of the header data from the parsed content. Since this seemed very odd, and debugging Spring/ActiveMQ is a deep dive, I created a simplified test without any of that infrastructure: just a JSP using mail-1.4.2.jar, yet the same headers are missing. Also of note, these headers are missing when running the WAR file under Tomcat 5.5.27. Tomcat behaves just like Jetty when running the WAR, with the same missing headers. With JavaMail debugging turned on, I clearly see different output.     I need to install the ffmpeg PHP extension on my localhost so I can test few of my scripts but I am having troubles figuring out how to do that. I have WampServer 2.0 with PHP 5.2.9-2, my OS is Windows XP. Please somebody give me step by step instructions. I have found some Windows builds here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffmpeg-php/files/ But I don't know which one to download and what to do with files. EDITED: What I have done so far: Download ffmpeg_new Copy php_ffmpeg.dll from the php5 folder to the C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.9-2\ext Copy files from common to the windows/system32 folder Add extension=php_ffmpeg.dll to php.ini file Restarted all services (Apache, PHP...)   • Is JQuery UI meant to work only with Google Chrome??? (How about IE and Firefox??!)

    Hello, I'm using "Jquery UI 1./Dan Wellman/Packt Publishing" to learn JQuery UI. I'm working on the 'Dialog widget' chapiter. After I've completed a series of exercises in order to build a Dialog widget (using Google Chrome), I then tried my work with Internet Explorer and Firefox. The result has been disappointing. Chrome was perfet With Internet Explorer, (1) the title of the Dialog widget did not appear, (2) The location of the dialog widget was not correct (given the position: ["center", "center"]). It was rather offset toward left. With Firefox, the location was respected. However, only the outer container was visible. the content was missing, just a blank container. Also using Option Show:true and Hide:true did only work with Chrome. I wonder now if JQuery UI was meant to be used only with Google Chrome. I just think that I might be missing some directives to make it work with major browsers (as the author claimed in his book). Here's the code. Since, I'm using ASP.NET MVC, certain codes, such as the element to the css, do not appear.   • Why does one of two identical Javascripts work in Firefox?

    Hi, I have two image swap functions and one works in Firefox and the other does not. The swap functions are identical and both work fine in IE. Firefox does not even recognize the images as hyperlinks. I am very confused and I hope some one can shed some light on this for me. Thank you very much in advance for any and all help. FYI: the working script swaps by onClick via DIV elements and the non-working script swaps onMouseOver/Out via "a" elements. Remember both of these work just fine in IE.   • Why apache doesn't restart after configuring SSL?

    I've installed apache2 and then configure it to work with SSL following this and this tutorials, the problem becomes when I try to restart the service, the following error throws: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:443 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs the output of netstat -anp | grep 443 just display firefox listening and anything else, how could I solve this and get the service running??   • Why does this call to jQuery's $.ajax() fire an empty request in Chrome and Firefox?

    Hello, I am trying to call a WCF RESTful service from jQuery. I am using JSON to encode both request and response. The following code functions correctly in IE8: url = 'http://ipv4.fiddler:5683/WeatherWCF/NewBinding/MyService/GetValueFloat'; $.ajax({ url: url, data: '{"alias": "Udetemperatur"}', type: "POST", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "text", // not "json" we'll parse success: function(res) { alert('Received response: ' + res); } }); However, in both Firefox and Chrome, res contains an empty string.     Hy people. I'm working on my webapp for the iphone. On some point you have the option to get a particular document from our appserver. It works on firefox, but safari just shows an empty download window. IE also can't get the file. Below is the example link.     Hi, API referred : http://www.salesforce.com/us/developer/docs/api/index.htm subsection: reference-standard objects Client side details : partner.wsdl, Axis2 1.5, generated stubs using unpacked option (-u). I was hoping to find some basic objects like Account, Contact, etc (which were listed on above url) so that I can do something like - SObject[] sObjArray = queryResult.getRecords(); for(SObject sObj : sObjArray){ Account acc = [Account] sObj; } [used above approach successfully in another webservice - 'Zuora'] However, I could not find Account class in the generated classes. I guess I am into wrong approach, but atleast I should be finding the classes listed in the reference API. Please help.

  • Why do firefox/chrome show a different page than IE8?

    When I look at this published Google Docs document, I see the latest version with Firefox and Chrome, but an older version with IE8. Also, screen-scraping it via PHP/Curl gives me an older version. I've tried CTRL-Refresh in IE8 but I can't get it to show me the newest version. No matter what headers I try to change in PHP/Curl, I can't get it to show me the newest version. What am I not understanding about browsers/headers/caching here? How can it be that different browsers show different contents of one page?

  • Keystore in PKCS12 format seems empty to keytool, but is read by Firefox?!

    I have a problem with a keystore in pkcs12 format, which contains a private key I need to use to authenticate myself (using mutual authentication) to a remote SSL server. The keystore file can be read perfectly fine by Firefox, and when used, I can access the remote server without problems. However, my Java program does not work with the keystore file. And if I use keytool to list keys inside the file, it seems empty -- while it is clearly not! How can I get Java/keytool to see the private key inside the keystore?

  • Where can I find a control similar to the Firefox Rich List Box for use in my application?

    I'm trying to implement a control similar to Firefox's Rich List Box: However, I can only find the XUL implementation of this control, and I don't want to have to include a XUL processing engine in my application just to get a cool looking listbox. I've been trying to implement one on my own by customizing MFC's CListBox control, but am starting to realize it may take more time than I had intended. Before continuing to implement this control from scratch, I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar control that already exists, either commercial or open source. The main functionality I would like to have is: Small display for non selected items that expands when selected. Ability to add arbitrary controls to the expanded view. Preferably native code, but can probably use managed controls via native/managed interop with out too much extra work. Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to have to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to.

    Hi I have recently made a new WordPress theme (named {cssgroundup}) which I am using on my blog at www.richard-dickinson.com It is only a basic WP theme for my personal use as I am quite new to the WordPress platform (?). It is a work in progress (as is the blog content!) however it displays alright in IE browser but not so well in FireFox. Can someone help me edit it so it displays properly in most browsers or advise me how I can fix this please? I have asked for help at wordpress.org forums but haven't yet had any help! I can post stylesheet code & theme.php code here if required. I look forward to helpful replies, many thanks

    I have quite a serous problem here since I work on this animation for a while, I have a Adobe Edge Animation (done in CC) that fails to load the first time in Opera and Crome but does work in Firefox and Safari. It fail to load every time coming from another page. Only work if you reload. The problem persist both locally and online. It does work in preview every single time.     Some of my users download several pdf files from an internet website regularly. They'd like to automate the process to save a few minutes every day, and most importantly, to minimize errors. I tried mechanize but failed as mechanize does not process javascripts. Since the download links in the remote site are all triggered by javescript, I am looking for solutions to automate the browser itself.   • Error while executing (.exe ) from windows command script (.cmd) file

    I have the following syntax in the .cmd file, where PathList is console application with .exe as extension. cd D:\Sample D: PathList 2> file.txt This syntax works fine if the file is saved with .bat as extension, but if save it with .cmd extension it throws error saying 'PathList' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Please can i know what is the issue with saving it with .cmd extension
