    Hi. I'm getting an exception from SQL Data Reader (MS SQL as datastore) and I'd like to know which column name causes this Exception to be thrown. But I cannot find it in the InnerException.. nowhere. ((System.InvalidOperationException)ex.InnerException).StackTrace: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.ReadColumnHeader(Int32 i) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.IsDBNull(Int32 i) ... Where is it hidden please ?

  • Trigger email on specific date

    I have C# web application that I want it to send out an email on a certain date, such as if equipment isn't returned on the day it was due. Data is in MS SQL database.   • Visual Studio line deletion

    Is there any way in Visual Studio 2003 that I can delete a line without it being copied into the clipboard? There are instances when I want to copy the first line of a block of text and then delete the following n lines but this then puts the last line I deleted into the clipboard, which is very annoying. I have come from a brief keymap background and I could easily do this with Alt-D. And while I'm on the subject, why on earth have MS stopped supporting the brief keymap?

  • opacity in ie using absolutely positioned divs not working

    I've been banging my head against the wall for a few hours how trying to sort this out. I'm trying to position one div on top of another for the purpose of fading one in on top of the other. The divs will have an image and some other html in them. I cannot get opacity to work in ie8.   • How to give focus to default program of shell-opened file, from Java ?

    From within Java, I am opening an Excel file with the default file handler (MS Excel, in this case :-) ) using the method described in this stackoverflow question: Desktop dt = Desktop.getDesktop(); dt.open(new File(filename)); However, the Excel program doesn't get the focus. Is there any easy way to do so? Edit: There is a related stackoverflow question for C#, but I didn't find any similar Java method.

What do those numbers mean?

The MS e-book for the 70-536 exam covers this but very lightly, as it does not cover the use of the ServiceProcessInstaller class or something like that???   • Oracle Connection exception via JDBC

    I have installed Oracle 11gR2 on my machine, now when i try to connect to it using IP address as 'localhost' or '127.0.0.1' there is no issue, but when I use ip address of machine '192.168.1.6' it throws exception: Io exception: Then Network Adapter could not establish the connection. I have installed ms loopback adapter prior to installation and my machine get IP from DHCP. do i need to configure any setting oracle config or what i might be missing here?

    I have the following tables/columns: Parent: ParentID Child: ChildID ParentID SubChild: SubChildID ChildID Date Parent has 1 to Many relationship with Child Child has 1 to Many relationship with SubChild For every Parent, I need to get the SubChild with the most recent Date value. How can I do this using SQL. I've tried using MAX(Date), but I can't seem to figure out how to join Parent and Child successfully. The ideal result set would contain all the Parents joined with all the SubChild columns of the latest record. Note: using MS SQL 2005+
