  BeanUtils copyProperties, out of the box, doesn't seem to handle copying from Boolean object properties to boolean primitive properties. I figured I could create and register a converter to handle this, but that just didn't seem to work. • Preprocess strings file during Xcode build

  Hello, I know there's a way to preprocess my info.plist file, but is there a similar way to process strings files inside my Settings.bundle? My problem: I have an iPhone app and I want the the user to know about the currently installed version. I do this by displaying it in the apps settings. Now every time i change the bundle version in my info.plist i also have to change the version in the Root.strings in the Settings.bundle. I could run a script action that updates it, but it would be nice to use the preprocessor since I could do even more fun things with it. Thanks!

  Hi there, I have created a custom MembershipProvider class, so far so good, however, I am not sure how to read the configuration settings from the web.config file. I tried to search from Google and Stackoverflow, seems like someone also experiencing my problem and asked, but no answer has been given. It should be a simple thing, but I am very new in web development, so reading settings from web.config seems away too technical to me. • C# How to create objects without class definitions?

  Is it possible to create objects at designtime without having to have hard coded class definitions, then populate properties with primitives or even strongly typed data types? This might sound confusing, so I will attempt to give you a use case scenario. Use case: You have an XML config file that could hold configuration values for connecting to various systems in an SOA application. In C# the XML file is read, but for each system the configuration properties are different (e.g: SQL might have a connection string, while SharePoint might need a username + password + domain + url, while yet an smtp server would need username + password + port + url) So instead of creating static classes as follows public class SharePointConfiguration or public class SQLConfiguration, then have each class with custom properties (this is cumbersome) or using a 1990's method, an arrayList or some named collection Is there not a more preferred way to achieve this? Taking advantage of new language features, that can still offer design time intellisense, which would make the code easier to maintain and less prone to error. Thanks

• Standardizing camera input in OpenCV? (Contrast/Saturation/Brightness etc..)

  I am building an application using OpenCV that uses the webcam and runs some vision algorithms. I would like to make this application available on the internet after I am done, but I am concerned about the vast differences in camera settings on every computer, and I am worried that the algorithm may break if the settings are too different from mine. Is there any way, after capturing the frame, to post process it and make sure that the contrast is X, brightness is Y, and saturation is Z? I think the Camera settings themselves can not be changed from code directly using the current OpenCV Python bindings. Would anyone be able to tell me about how I could calculate some of these parameters from the image and adjust them appropriately using OpenCV?

How do I configure my ObjectFactory so that I can choose the first constructor or perhaps even another one if I decide to use that?

  Hi All I am trying to use @Value annotation in the parameters of a constructor as follows: @Autowired public StringEncryptor( @Value("${encryptor.password:\"\"}") String password, @Value("${encryptor.algorithm:\"PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES\"}") String algorithm, @Value("${encryptor.poolSize:10}") Integer poolSize, @Value("${encryptor.salt:\"\"}") String salt) { ... } When the properties file is present on the classpath, the properties are loaded perfectly and the test executes fine. However when I remove the properties file from the classpath, I would have expected that the default values would have been used, for example poolSize would be set to 10 or algorithm to PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES however this is not the case. Running the code through a debugger (which would only work after changing @Value("${encryptor.poolSize:10}") Integer poolSize to @Value("${encryptor.poolSize:10}") String poolSize as it was causing NumberFormatExceptions) I find that the defaults are not being set and the parameters are in the form of: poolSize = ${encryptor.poolSize:10} or algorithm = ${encryptor.algorithm:"PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES"} rather than the expected poolSize = 10 or algorithm = "PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES" Based on SPR-4785 the notation such as ${my.property:myDefaultValue} should work. Yet it's not happening for me! Thank you

  I get a lot of attention at work because I am the only one who bothered to change the default color settings in Visual Studio. I just modified them myself. I can provide the settings file if anyone cares to import it. Here's an example of how it looks. It reminds me of DOS/BASIC programming before I actually knew how to program. I also find it to be very readable. What color schemes do you use?! EDIT: To clarify, I only edited the text settings. The windows and panels of VS2005 are still the windows default.

• Can anyone tell me why my XML writer is not writing attributes?

  I am writing a parsing tool to help me clean up a large VC++ project before I make .net bindings for it. I am using an XML writer to read an xml file and write out each element to a new file. If an element with a certain name is found, then it executes some code and writes an output value into the elements value. So far it is almost working, except for one thing: It is not copying the attributes. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? • C# - .WAV Playback Randomly High Pitch

  For some reason, when a WAV file is played back using the snippet below, it randomly plays back screwy, like a high pitch noise. It doesn't happen all the time, just randomly. It seems to happen more often when it is played back more frequently. The WAV properties are below along with the code snippet I am using. WAV Properties: Bit Rate - 750kbps Audio Sample Size - 16 bit Channels - 1 (mono) Audio Sample Rate - 44kHz Audio Format - PCM Snippet: System.Media.SoundPlayer myPlayer = new System.Media.SoundPlayer(Captcha.Properties.Resources.sound1); myPlayer.Play(); Is this because of the way I am playing the file or the file itself? Out of these settings, a few will be used in master page, few on my Page and few in my user control (say login control which is a web user control). I've an entity class MySetting for it and there is a method in my data access layer which returns me an instance of MySetting when I pass the value I got in query string. I don't want to fetch settings from the database multiple times for one request. I'm using asp.net web forms with C# and sql server.

• Best way to parse XMPP-like XML streams?

  I am working on a server application which receives data over a TCP socket in an XMPP-like XML format, i.e. every child of the <root> element essentially represents one separate request (stanza). The connection is closed as soon as </root> is received. I do know that I must use a stream parser like SAX, somehow. Though, for convenience, I'd prefer to have a tree-like interface to access each stanza's child elements. (The data sent with every request is not large so I think it makes sense to read each stanza as a whole.) What's the best way to realize that in Python (preferably v3)? This is the code I'd like to build it in. How should be my mappings in this case ? Should I use References or HasOne ? Someone could give an example ? The project folder contains only 4 files: __init__.py manage.py settings.py urls.py I tried replacing twingle.urls with urls.py but then it gave me a different error. What is it I can do to get this working?

Let's say 5, and each of these 5 systems has a number of flags to determine different settings the user has selected in said systems, lets say 5 settings per system (so 5*5). I am storing the status of these settings in the user sesion variables and was wondering is that a sufficient way of doing it? But when I try to open the dynamically created excel sheet I keep on getting error that says 'Unable to load worksheet, problem with worksheet settings'.   It was my first time to use Java EE and I am having an error everytime I run my html file. This is the error I am seeing: In-place deployment at C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\build\web deploy?path=C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\build\web&name=Exercises&force=true failed on GlassFish Server 3 C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\nbproject\build-impl.xml:683: The module has not been deployed. BUILD FAILED (total time: 1 second) What was wrong if I am receiving an error like this? I also tried to deployed it referring to what it said in the later part "The module has not been deployed" but still the same error appears... please help... thanks in advance :)
