  • How do I re-install Samba?

    I recently followed a guide to configure Samba but I couldn't get it configured properly. After realizing that the guide was six years out of date I thought I should start again. I reinstalled samba by first using these commands: sudo apt-get purge samba sudo apt-get install samba But after reading my configuration file (/etc/samba/smb.conf) I noticed that it was the same file, containing the same edits I had made. I then proceeded to delete the directory and then re-install samba again. However, the directory is not replaced after re-instillation and now I don't appear to have a configuration file. How do I get it back? Or install Samba correctly?

  • how to make DIV show up on top of other Divs

But that is not what I want, I need all other divs stay where they are, and my hidden FAQ section just float on the top. Not sure how to do it.   • It is only uploading first row's file input

    I have a application which you can access here. If you open the application please click on the "Add" button a couple of times. This will add a new row into a table below. In each table row there is an AJAX file uploader. Now the problem is that if I click on the "Upload" button in any row except the first row, then the uploading only happens in the first row so it is only uploading the first file input only. Why is it doing this and how can I get it so that when then the user clicks the "Upload" button, the file input within that row of the "Upload" button is uploaded and not the first row being uploaded? Also I've fixed switchable graphics bug, using this guide (STEP 2). I've tried to add 'LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=xvba LIBVA_DRIVERS_PATH=/usr/lib/va/drivers' to /etc/environment and rebooted system, but the result was the same. PLEASE HELP! :) Thanks! :]

    I've started learning bash scripting by using this guide: http://www.tldp.org/LDP/abs/abs-guide.pdf However I got stuck at the first script: cd /var/log cat /dev/null > messages cat /dev/null > wtmp echo "Log files cleaned up." What do lines 2 and 3 do in Ubuntu (I understand cat)? Is it only for other Linux distributions? After running this script as root, the output I get is Log files cleaned up. But /var/log still contains all the files.

  • Property trigger in XAML for IsMouseOver fails to set Border.Background

    I'm currently trying to create a ControlTemplate for the Button class in WPF, replacing the usual visual tree with something that makes the button look similar to the little (X) close icon on Google Chrome's tabs. I decided to use a Path object in XAML to achieve the effect. Using a property trigger, the control responds to a change in the IsMouseOver property by setting the icon's red background. The problem with this is that the trigger just isn't working. Nothing changes in the button's appearance. However, if I remove the Background="Transparent" value from the Border object in the ControlTemplate, the trigger does work (albeit only when over the 'X'). I really can't explain this. Setters for any other properties placed in the borderStyle resource work fine, but the Background setter fails as soon as the default background is specified in the ControlTemplate. Any ideas why it's happening and how I can fix it? I know I could easily replace this code with, for example, a .PNG-based image, but I want to understand why the current implementation isn't working. Thanks! :)

    I have an issue with Google Analytics, can't seem to find a guide how to activate Demographics and Interests reports.   • Cannot get document.getElementById() to find my textarea

  • Demographics and interests reports in Google universal analytics

    I have an issue with Google Analytics, can't seem to find a guide how to activate Demographics and Interests reports. I am using the new version of analytics (Universal Analytics) and the script code looks something like this: (function (i, s, o, g, r, a, m) { i['GoogleAnalyticsObject'] = r; i[r] = i[r] || function () { (i[r].q = i[r].q || []).push(arguments) }, i[r].l = 1 * new Date(); a = s.createElement(o), m = s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0]; a.async = 1; a.src = g; m.parentNode.insertBefore(a, m) })(window, document, 'script', '//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js', 'ga'); But the guide I found on google's page is for the old version (Classis Analytics). Does anyone know how I can activate this on Universal Analytics? Is this even possible?
